-
Just the one, since didn't have Chemo. Glad it went well!!!
-
I feel like we really need to do another Cheesecake meeting once Monday'sChild is able to recover from this week. Anyone else up for it or have a weekend that they would recommend? I am actually in town all of November and most of December. It seems like it has been forever ago since we got together.
-
I agree, especially since I missed the last two! I am having a fat graft surgery on 11/13, but should only be down for a few days.
-
nbnotes is psychic. I have not signed on in weeks, and did so just now. Just peaking over the hilltop now and think I may have survived another election cycle.I am free the 15th and 22nd.
-
WooooHOOOOO, timing is everything. So many of you I've thought of recently, so it means a meeting is needed for all.
Several of you I've seen or talked with quite recently too. I'm open for any weekend!
-
I'm open the 15th or 22nd during the day as well. Would you be up for coming by the 22nd SpecialK? If so, I say let's plan it
-
And just like that, I will now be out of state on the 15th anyway. I had forgotten SpecialK's remark about 11/13. So the 22nd can work well.
Anyone else?
-
I would assume the 22nd can work - I won't know for sure how things are until after the surgery. I would say yes, preliminarily.
-
The 22nd sounds divine!
-
I have updated the header to Saturday 11/22 at Cheesecake Factory.Roll call: who can join us?
-
Looks good so far. Count me in.
Is there a gluten-free dairy-free cheesecake? ...I don't think so.
-
The Godiva Chocolate is flourless though!
-
A lady by the name of Michelle from a FB group about Diep Flap Reconstruction (I've NO idea how I wound up in that group) would like to join our Luncheon. IF you would add her name to the list, that's great. I do know her full name but choose not to post it without permission.
-
Oh my goodness...the Lady helping me in the Appliance Dept at Home Depot today was wearing a glove. I asked what was up with the glove, she said Lymphedema. So I say, BC? She says yes. Her second time around. This time she's Stage IV. Sadly, she wasn't ever taught MLD nor given a sleeve to go along with the glove. All she'd been given was wrapping materials and she can't wear that at work, not to mention it's worn out. Not only that, she'd never been told they need to be replaced after so many months when it's worn daily as she does. As we talked, I could see how her upper arm was swollen too.
So we had a talk about LE, MLD, sleeve/gauntlets or gloves. She's seeing her Onc quite soon and will be requesting a referral for the LE treatment and to learn LMD, as well as getting new sleeves/gloves. I shared with her the Lymphedivas site too. Her name is Debra. She would dearly love to meet with a group such as us, since not many she can talk about things with at home or work.
Apparently I'm meant to run into these Ladies. Go figure.
-
Galsal -
Those ladies are blessed to have run into you!
-
Galsal: Is she able to join us on November 22?
-
Absolutely I am!!!
-
I have you down, Galsal. I meant the woman you met at Home Depot who said she was looking for a group like ours. -
Ahhh, she plans on being there. IF she can get that time off from work. Said most of her time off is spent for chemo and med appts. Gave her my phone number and email address, plus where and when we're meeting. She was SO glad to know of a group of women like us! Debra, although I didn't get her last name.
I'll check about Michelle also.
-
Please add Michelle, she will be attending.
-
ughh - my company is having a warehouse sale that day because it is closing!! So I am gonna miss another meeting. One day I will get to go - darn it!
-
Such a bummer, Linda. One of these days you'll get there!
-
Linda. - long time Lady!!!
-
Jbokland - Hey lady how are you doing? You still in Orlando?
-

-
Great news jbokland - hope the surgery goes great for you!!
-
Hi Girls, Can you plus 1 ME for lunch tomorrow if it is not too late? Didn't think I could make it but plans changed.
-
Hooray, Ameron will be attending too!
-
Another wonderful Luncheon was enjoyed by those in attendance. All others were missed!!
