Congrats Red, wonderful news! Early Christmas present!
Grateful my DD texted me last night to let me know she wants to see my mom tomorrow. That will make for a tense and interesting drive. Trying not to have any expectations about it all.

11/7- grateful to be to Friday after a very busy week at my client site. I learned today my client (who has also been a friend through the years too) just got a bunny, and since I raised them as a young person, we had a good long chat too about all things rabbit today too!
-
Grateful that I took a walk this morning when it was still nice out. Right now the wind is gusting to 45 mph!

-
grateful for a wonderful day. DD and I drove out to see my parents, we had a wonderful conversation and time together and she even treated me to lunch.
-
Grateful for a fun evening out. We went to dinner with a group of friends & then to a wonderful presentation of A Christmas Carol at the local college. Extremely well done! Wow!

11/8- grateful for all the interesting foods in the store this time of the year. Today I had sweet potato pizza for lunch at Whole Foods. YUM!
-
Grateful I started shopping for the stuff I need for Thanksgiving
-
Grateful for a Saturday evening at home with my kids. My son , his girlfriend, my daughter and her half brother. Both of my kids were adopted, open adoptions So our family tree has many branches. Had supper, they are watching the Celtics game and may go out later. But I am making memories of an open and welcoming home . Love them all. -
Grateful that DH and I are able to afford new tires, a new dryer, and a new microwave, all of which went out this week. Grateful that someone invented dryers and microwave ovens.
-
Holy cow Honey!

OMG - I thought I was bad missing a day last week, but I just missed the whole weekend.
For Friday, I was grateful that I had a nice evening with my DH followed by a nice time in the Jacuzzi..
For Saturday, I am grateful for fun on Ebay then shopping in person at my local Walmart. Far more productive at Walmart!
Today I am grateful for an afternoon with my DD and her fella and another couple we met through BCO watching the football games at the local pub. Unfortunately, I was voting for the Saints.
I have had such a nice weekend. Lots of family time, me time and even time for my DH and myself.
Have a good sleep everyone.
Hugs'n'kisses,
Deb

grateful for a nice, catch-up phone call from an old friend

For yesterday, I am grateful for a text from my Dad that the nursing staff removed Mom's cath to see if she could void on her own (turns out she can), they gave her a shower (probably first one in months), even got her in a wheelchair (first time she was out of bed in over a month), and they even trimmed her fingernails (scared she would scratch her eyes or bleed).
Today, grateful DH and I went to the show to see interstellar (first movie together in several years). Glad I had on comfy shoes for a very long walk.
-
11/9- grateful to get a late afternoon walk to see the last of the golden cottonwoods with the sunlight on them.
-
Today I am grateful for all the Christmas decorations that a coworker brought in. She cleaned out her cupboard and didn't need them anymore. I was able to snag a 12 pc Village that lights up!
-
Grateful that we are on the northern edge of the great big snowstorm swooping down over the country. We only get a little bit of snow.

Why is it that you can hardly ever find cards that are blank on the inside?
-
Grateful for wonderful Canadian cranberries. Made a crisp with them today.
-
Oh yum!!!
-
Grateful for a day where I feel like I have accomplished something - haircut, dentist, grocery store and ah yes some time devoted to work as well! And a good dinner with kids. -
Am grateful I took some ME time today: tried a different kind of hair color, very subtle change but gray is gone (at least for now), supposedly the most gentle kind and hopefully won't be losing hair this time. Even a quick DIY facial and mini pedi and found a new gentle yoga show that I DVR'ed (was on way too early), today's was to release stress (not that I have any of that, Lol!)
-
Grateful I have a good working relationship with a business competitor, my equipment went down today and he helped me out and will get my project finished
-
Today, I am grateful for a DH who will not only deliver my forgotten purse to me at work, but is also stopping on the way to pick up a co-workers forgotten computer at her house and delivering that as well. I've definitely got a keeper.
-
11/11- grateful for all the men and women who have served our country present and past, including my dad during WWII and my nephew who is currently in the Army.
Happy Veterans day to all of you here who are or were in the military. Thank you for your service to our country.
-
Also grateful and thankful for All Veterans and those currently serving in the military.....with special thoughts of my dad, who served with the US Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Shortly after I finished treatments, I had the privilege of accompanying him and several hundred other WWII Veterans on an Honor Flight to see their WWII Memorial in Washington, DC. It was one of the highlights of his (and my) life & one of the things that I am the most grateful for is that I was well enough to be able to do that with/for him!
