Hello Ladies, I am so glad to find this page. I love taking mostly nature photos, many of the birds at my window such as this male cardinal. They are such little gentlemen . I was posting a lot of pics on-line but that has got too much the last few months due to tiredness, even before diagnosis. Took this one from my bedroom 2 days after my surgery while I was vegging out.
I filled a humming bird feeder last year but nobody came so i did not refill it, then very late in the summer I saw one little guy. I felt bad for him as I had abandoned the feeder but I think my next door neighbor had one filled for him!
I thought I may have seen one fleetingly outside the window a few weeks back so set up my hummingbird feeder again hoping somebody will find it!
I hang a feeder at my bedroom window and the woodpeckers were waking me up at sunrise! My regular pair of downies seemed to have moved off for a while but a beautiful red belly has replaced them. There have been wrens, finches, titmice, chickadees and blue jays and on the afternoon when I got home from surgery a beautiful rose breasted grosbeak, of all things, that I had never seem before. I can't take decent photos of them actually feeding at the moment as they have got suet all over the glass!

Thank you so much Teka. I Love the Eagle!!

Just one more then I must try to sleep. I took this little nuthatch before the bedroom window got too dirty!

My DH is always birding😎
I wonder if he noticed the beautiful bridge in the background.🙈

There is a man in a funny hat here that just won't leave me alone.
-
muma and baby Long Eared owls we were watching in wildlife sanctuary in Nevada. My photos are not very good but will post my DH's later.
-
Those owls sure have good camouflage, don't they? Thanks for the photos, Mumito. The only owls I've seen here are barn owls and there was once a great horned owl in my backyard. He got tired of me taking pictures of him real fast!
-
rare sighting
South Polar Skus also taken on the pelagic boat trip out of SanDiego
-
I don't believe I've ever seen one of those, Mumito. Nice shot!
-
Wow, I have missed some beautiful shots the last few days. Work is going to start losing me gradually in a couple of weeks for treatments (and a few days vacation) so its been a hectic week. I love all the shots and that flamingo is gorgeous!!
These are just a couple of the birds that I feed, a little junco in the snow and a titmouse at the backdoor feeder.
-
Daughter loves juncos.
I love titmice.
-
Titmice are one of my favorites. They have the cutest little expressions and are so nimble with their claws. I have watched them hold the larger nuts and bash them with their beaks to break them up. When it snows I throw some feed on the deck as the juncos like to hop around together with a couple of fiesty song sparrows. We sometimes put some bread down too but the squirrels will run off with an entire slice if we don't break it up! I will have to dig out some of the birds I found on vacation but they are on another computer.

nice shots lizzysmom
