Mods,
So far, very good. I have to work this morning so can't spend much time here but liking how its going right now.
Jackie
maybe a bit more later.
One thing....haven't been able to actually use the BOLD and ITALIC part of my tool bar for several days now. What is up with that????
-
I have to type things out, highlight them and then go back and click Bold or Italics afterwards.
Also when I start to type, the words start farther down in the box & I have to shift them back up to the top.
I am still intermittently laggy.
-
Jackie and Ruth, Not sure that the tech work at our end would impact the changes that you note here Will check. Agree with intermittent lag. Thanks for continuing to let us know. The Mods -
See, your post was down an extra line too!

-
Mine too Ruth. -
I'm having the extra line problem too today, but that's more of an annoyance than a true problem.
However, for the past couple of days, have consistently been brought to the very end of the thread, not right after where I last posted. This has been true for the ipad, Mac, and now my Dad's laptop. I have to manually search my last post and that's time-consuming and cumbersome.
Was the banner at the top of the page recently changed (such as breaking news)?
Edited to add: response time seems to be a tad bit better today though
-
zanders girl in the hormonal therapy section has a bunch of extra lines in her header.
-
Thanks everyone for letting us know about these changes. The Banners are new and featuring content on our website. Feedback welcome. Unclear as to whether or not they are contributing to reported changes. Will explore. The Mods
-
I'm still out on the banners. Need to give them more time before I decide
-
I just noticed the banners this morning. I actually thought it "seemed" like a good idea. I didn't have time but a couple of things caught my eye. That said......I would not be as happy if it would be found to be creating interference with posting ( I've struggled several times with needing to move up my line ) or slow loading or whatever.
I will try Ruth's fix on the BOLD and ITALIC 'S area. Never had to do that before. I'm on a Window 7 using Outlook Express.

The reason I posted about zandersgirl is that this is only her second post, and it is kind of hard to post to it given the pages of extra lines, so I was hoping you all could edit it for her. Thanks for everything! You mods are Awesome!
-
Thanks farmerlucy! We made the edit you suggest - should be easier now!
It's just a guess, but it might be that she wrote the post offline, and pasted it into the input form, including a bunch of extra blank lines.
-
BCO has been working the fastest it ever has form me today. No perceptible hesitation at all.
-
Great news, chabba! We're still finding some delays, but glad to hear there are improvements.
-
Good speed for the first couple "visits" to threads, then it slows down again like before. The longer I'm on, during a session, the slower it seems to get.
-
Similar complaints as nihahi. If I am too slow or make a long post odds are it will take longer for it to load an release me to go on.
I will however say that fortunately....I never experience the long ( two or three mins. or more ) delays that others reported so my frustration level was less than most. Noticed it most when it happened when I had a over-all time limit for needing to leave for work.
Jackie
It is as in the above post, pretty fast when all is short and to the point. Not always feasible.
-
Thank you, nihahi and IllinoisLady. We'll pass along your observations to add to the techs' trouble-shooting/diagnosic info.
-
Good Morning Mods................I am one of the Slowsky's too.....first thought it was Fios since they were pushing people to upgrade to a faster speed for $10.00 more a month, but now realize it is on BCO that it happens mostly................going from thread to thread has never been so slow....................realize you have been told by everyone, but though I would let you know about our area.....Phila., Pa....thanks....
-
Our tech team continues to work on it, and appreciates the much-needed feedback!
-
Thanks for the fast response time today! Was on hold for almost an hour (non-BCO related, of course) and got to have something productive to do while listening to awful hold music.
-
When it's slow it's become really slow.
-
Hi Marple, we share your frustrations about it not being slow ALL the time but when it is, it is very slow
again thanks for your patience and feedback.
We will continue to update you guys on solutions to this

Hi Mods. Twice today I got a message.....can't remember word for word, but the jist was "We're sorry, but the website you are trying to access has too many users at the moment. Please try again later". Weird. Don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.
-
Thank you leggo - we'll let the team know, and be on the lookout for that message too.

I was getting that message on and off the past few weeks. But, if I immediately tried to access the site again, it would always come up....
-
Good to know, thanks nihahi!
-
A couple times when I've submitted a post the whole site has disappeared & I've gotten something like 'this website had been moved' (can't remember the exact words). I then am able to go right back in but my post is gone......happened this very afternoon.
-
Ruthbru, and everyone, if this happens again, could you grab a screen shot or make a note of the message, and where you were when it happened (thread URL or its title), so we can give as much detail to the techs as possible.
Thanks for letting us know!
-
Slow today Mods and could not edit my post/quote in Illinois Women like I have always done before.
Jackie

Jackie - thanks for letting us know. Unsure about the editing difficulties - will check out. Slowness continues for us as well. The Mods
