INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Mine seems to be OK and I have a bunch of windows open. Odd thing about mine is Saturday morning seems slow. DH says people on the net finding something to do.
-
Probably!
-
LittleGoats.... Saw that! Like 8 inches of hail.... trying to clear it off for a soccer game.... they had no power, so the under-ground lines, that helped pull the moisture out weren't working.... They're still talking about Tornado's.... Mostly around Colo. Springs, and in Eastern Color.
-
Dang this pain on top of my head. It comes and goes but when it comes it's a doozy. Just not sure what to think about it. Just when I think I may have a few days of clear sailing.....UGH
-
Checking in! Still on page 448 and trying to ketchup!
Thanks for all the well wishes! All went well! I am some eating ice cream on my screen porch looking at my baby doves that hatched while I was at the hospital! I'm a little lazy but nothing hurts anymore! Thighs were tender when I woke.
Surgery went great and my doc is very excited. Had the best Gas Man ever too! My fin is slightly bigger now the fat needs to work it's magic! Hit the table a little after 1 and was sitting up in recovery by 3 then home by 5 cuzof the stinking traffic!
AFT for tissue regeneration after rads but befor TE to implant recon alphas not been done at my very large hospital before. I am the pilot patient I guess! My doc actually sat down and read the very large stack of studies and articles I gave him. He said it was fascination and cutting edge!
Guess I'm trying to change the world with you Sas!! If this works well for me then they are going to be willing to try and help so many more women after rads, not just with recon but pain and muscle issues as well. So please cross fingers and send up a prayer! Obviously I would like this to go well for me, but I am thrilled to have been able to move my PS in this direction. That was no small feat BTW! He likes things black and white in his Little box. This is way outside his comfort zone and I so respect him for moving forward with me while I solve this fin issue!
Golfer! I am hardly wonder woman! I did manage to get all the kids to the next grade level though! LAST day of school today! WooHoot!!
Sas, don't worry about Friday! My 2 boys are helping and carrying everything to deliver. Believe it or not I already have all the shopping and cooking done. We cooked steak and chicken for the 100 last night. God love the G Foreman grill! All I have to do is make a couple of pans of salads and I'm done so I can collect my $900!
Ok girls, anesthesia brain isn't helping me remember who has what right now plus I am still behind! Back to reading!
FBB great turn of events,
Annie Mae, hope, recovery is going well and your mom is starting to feel better!
Hugs Susan! I know people mean well! They just don't always think ahead. I am sick of people saying wow, you really look good. (for a cancer patient! Is what is implied) Thanks, what the hell were you expecting frankenstains bride from hell, a zombie, what? And if i looked like crap would you share that too? I know they mean well and are trying to help/support in their own way, but sometimes silence on a situation is a nice touch!
Maddy, I asked them to check the brain function. Awaiting results. They said they were ordering me a jacket to wear. It's got really long sleeves and a couple of buckles!
Ok girls.....I'll keep reading and be back. Sorry I didn't get to all personally!
-
4... Happy you r home but it doesn't sound like you r resting..take care of yourself and your "fin". Heal up !
Nettie...so sorry about your head/scalp pain..I can't remember..have you talked to your docs?
My scalp pain was always like when you change your part. That kind of achy. Yours sounds much worse than that. Hope you can get to the bottom of it and I hope it is just a little easy to fix problem
-
Quatre - you do better after anesthesia than I do without it. Congrats, rest up. Glad your cooking is all done for you catering job. I'm doing good to cook a day or 2 ahead. I love to cook but absolutely hate to clean up. Matter of fact dishes have my name on them right now including full dish drainer and dishwasher. Seriously take care of the fin. The rest will work out. AND yeah to last day of school.
Oh and I don't see the need for a jacket with buckles.
-
444444 Don't wrry u should be resting anyway--u still have work to do, how the hell do u do it.
OMG Chevy that's what we had last night huge hail and tornado warnings, except I thought I read tomato warnings, so I thought Chevy's fine--then I reread it when everyone is acting concerned. People have not seen this size of hail in ever time so it's strange--just stay safe.
Teka that was hysterical I LOLed out loud.
Damn this job is taking alot of my time up --more and more---it started out so nothing like 2 calls a day maybe--now there is a period of time when they are right after each other or I go to the bathroom and I have a voice mail.WTF And Thanks Chevy for telling me to put it on speaker for the phone , TV sound is off and I have my door closed, When my Katie Kat wants in she puts her little paw under the door and waves.
FBB sorry for the flashback, what a ride u had. On the horse I mean.
-
I am resting, I promise! My but has barely left this chair on my screen porch. It's my favorite room on the house. Even have a folding hammock. Itmisgetting unfolded tomorrow for sure.
I knew I prolly was cray cray for taking that order Friday but it is really an ash order with large profit margins! Plus they are a really good customer and the principal himself actually called!
Susan, I don't even feel my fin! Doesn't hurt just smarts once in a while. They say the fat transfer can actually return feeling and sesnsitivity to area.n time will tell!
Nettie, when my hair was shedding I felt a tingling and aching on my scalp. I have had the same thing with it growing. It feels like when you wear a pony tail a different direction and and is being pulled against the grain so to speak! I think it is because so much is growing in at once. The growth schedule is all outta whack! Lately it doesn't hurt, just itches like mad at times!
LilGoats! I am very lucky when it comes to the anesthesia. Plus the guy I had today sat and we really talked. It was fascinating! He asked did I have a medical background! It was cool learning that much more about it! I too HATE dishes. My husband does them all! As for cooking I am never this far ahead! And ask my kids, I never get them fed! SO happy school is out. It's not the buckles on the jacket that worry my, it's the long sleeves they tie behind your back!!
Cami! Tornados are scary! I used to live in NE kinda near PhyllieWithTheAnkleJewelry. Well my college roommate emailed me photos a few days back. Her house is ok but her parents and one of her brothers and family lost their hoses and a lot of stuff on their farms in the tornado on mothers day. What a mess. I'm glad you are all ok. I used to live near you and know how crazy at weather can be too! You should be resting too but you are always answering that phone!! We are just some hard working girls!! How do you do it??
still trying to ketchup with each of yo and still a couple pages back. My eyes are starting to close though and I have my loverly post anesthesia Phone Sex voice! Just one of the perks!!

I feel like I'm falling apart and it doesn't have anything to do with BC. I've had a sore ankle for months, so my PCP said to go see the orthopedic PA. And by the way, check my blood pressure because my last readings were high (done in oncology, so what did they expect). Now I have an aircast to wear everywhere except bed and while driving (I couldn't drive with it on). And with a ton of readings, my BP was 150 to 184. So now they've doubled one of my BP meds. And I must have refused to let them use my right arm about 10 times. So I may start wearing the medic ID that tells them not to do that or to give me penicillin.
Nettie, I thought that might be a catahoula. No one up here has head of them, but the lady I babysit for is from LA and she knows. Her baby had a Geaux Tigers onesie.
Does the new Breaking News at the top bother anyone besides me? It just seems too much like advertising.
I grew up in Oklahoma in tornado alley and never saw one. My grandfather lived on a ranch as a child and watched a tornado pick up a house owned by a Native American. It took it about 1/2 mile away and sat it back down intact. The man had to live in it where it ended up because he couldn't move it back.

Tang: ""I'm sitting here this morning in my home office literally pouring sweatdown my bald head. Can you believe my MO said she didnt know why I was having hot flashes....really??""
Why do oncologists seem so clueless at times? I think they like to minimize any and all side-effects. Can chemotherapy cause neuropathy? Maybe, just a little bit. Should an aromatase inhibitor make me feel like I'm celebrating my 101st birthday? No, not usually. Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit but I get the impression oncologists tend to just gloss everything over. Maybe it's a trick of the trade. "I'm injecting you with all kinds of poisonous sh*t but don't mind me, the man/woman behind the curtain"
Okay, rant over.
I'm sorry you're having hot flashes. It sounds like you're in chemopause. Heck, I went through menopause at age 43 and never had as many hot flashes as I did the first three months on Arimidex.
-
it's NOT slow. I was on this morning, now I have 3 pages to read!
-
I don't like the banners either. I thought I hadn't seen them before. So they're new?
Would a scalp massage help with the pain? Don't know if that would make things worse.
Susan, no I don't feel like a survivor. Compared to some of you I've had it really easy. Makes me feel guilty. I know that doesn't always make sense but that's the way it is. I wish things could be so much better for you guys. I'm in my quilt guild and know of 4 others who've gone through BC, I'm the newest. One gal has not said one word about it or to me. I know from someone else. Plus this person passed a painted rock on to me. Everybody handles it different.
4, glad to hear that things went well. Keeping finders crossed that it all end up great. I may have to have fat graphic when he redoes the girls in the fall. Will depend on how much fat I have when I'm done with the weight program. As of tonight I've lost 15 lbs over the last 6 weeks. The doc told me I may be sent active to the powdered version of the shake, to try a day or two of one type only and see how that does. That's the plan for tomorrow.
Ok, many of you should be in bed by now, it's 10 here. Night owls!
-
glad the weight is coming off..that has to make you feel good and make us proud of you...you go gal
Sorry u don't feel like a survivor. For me, after 12 years of this...I get to choose my adjectives.

Night night owlettes
-
Susan, hope you get some sleep, heading to bed.
Like your titles. Hadn't thought about. Kick ass would be a good one. Got Really good at being a couch potato this past year. now have to get my "exercise" in every day. Should be at 420 minutes a week by July 30. Never liked exercising!
Night.

have a wonderful morning owlettes
-
thank you Susan!
So many pages behind, just a quick stop before sleep.
DD was impressed by this:
-
That's funny 2nd the cats running out of toner.
I hope you are ok Chevy and didn't get blown away in the storm.
Today was better day. Annie Mae is eating and drinking water and went outside to go potty
)
Soooo tired tonight. Got my iron infusions set up to start next week on Thursday in the chemo lab.
Going to try and get sleep. Hope you are all doing well.
-
Good news, Pawprint. Those are good signs. Get some sleep.
-
Some of the hail the drivers had to go through yesterday! Tornado's spotted everywhere... but in our area, not far from Coors Field, and near Old Elitch's we only had a little rain...
Paws.... glad little Annie Mae is recovering! She is one sweet little dog!
Morning 2222nd! Your cat is beautiful! I sent that one "toner" picture to my Daughter's!
Susan.... Yes... I love to get together with DD#2, almost every week on one of her days off, and she either brings over lunch, or I make something, and we sit in front of the TV, and watch one of her movies! Usually a Shirley Temple film, which she LOVES! DD#1 sent her a whole series, so she is in "heaven" watching those sweet little stories... It is our "Movie Date"....Ha!
We didn't usually take time to spend "together", until after I got hurt... I mean we would always meet for lunch or go shopping, or she come over here, but now we have time to just sit and talk and enjoy a movie together, and be with each other! It's like she is taking care of ME now...
-
Tang, yes I think those shows are fascinating also.... Storm Chasers, and Ice Road Truckers! Also Deadliest Catch ... Was that what it was called?
I mean watching paint dry is even better than watching or hearing anything to do with the Kardashian's!
So how many of you are going to watch their wedding this week-end, or is it even Televised? Probably not, because they need to get the money from a world-wide broadcast that is probably in the future.
Ask me what I think about ANY of them! And all because of a porn-tape that little Kimmy "accidentally" released?
And is Mama Kris any better than the rest of them? I mean, to live in front of camera's all the time, and do the stupid out-landish things those girls DID is just bazarre!
Even if you don't WATCH them, their antics are in books on every check-stand, and broadcast on entertainment channels.... Okay.... I'll leave them alone...
MostlyM! I love your "flower-owl!"
Uh-oh.... Nettie has that pain again.... Let's hope it is better by now...
44444444444! Glad you are home, and dove-watching! How fun! You are a "Pilot-patient"? Is that legal?
Glad you had the nerve to plan your own surgery! You followed through, and got someone to buy into it, and it worked!
You must be taking over for Martha Steward, and Julia Child all rolled into one! Oh, and the Road-runner!
Cammi! You little turd! You heard "Tomato" warnings? Yes.... that figures! But mine were all covered... course it wouldn't MATTER, if a Tomato actually came through here, right? Would have probably blown them into Kansas or somewhere....
You lock KatyKat out of your room? I remember our cat used to do that when we were in the bathroom... Ha, ha! Well, they CAN'T knock, so what else are they supposed to do?
-
-
Dang It! I just lost my post :-( Thought it had submitted. Guess I need more coffee!
Good Morning Girls!
Annie Mae, glad you are feeling better and going potty outside! Find some time today to cuddle up with your mom and have a nap!
I'll return after ketching up, still pages behind.
Damn mouse still won't scroll. I went to get batteries and had a DUH moment! It has a charger! Why the hell am I out of bed anyway? No school today. Going to get even with husband for that alarm clock!!
-
-
4.. Sounds like you r feeling better today...yeahhhhh. Still b good to yourself. Good luck tomorrow with the feeding frenzy
Nettie...hope you have a better pain free day today with your head
Paw...you have to have some relief with Annie Mae wearing a little, drinking and yeah potty outside..she has to feel good about herself too. Snuggle up today
4444 greatt pics of morning doves...love them. This is the first year I haven't seen any nests around me. But I have 4 bird feeders in my small yard and 2 bird baths. So when the babies can follow their moms, they all line up on the fence waiting to get fed and chirping away. Can't wait...love to watch them from the screen porch. I knit in a glider and watch my birds...my daughter teases she is going to put in the home.
Have a great Friday owlettes..
Have a long work day....yuck....then tests at 8 am tomorrow..another yuck...
But it is a beautiful 70degree day here. And my salon is in the house next to a big window that looks out in my backyard...of course at my birdies...so it is a great environment to work at
Ta ta
Hi cami and 2nd and all those I forget about when I get down this far...sorry:(.
-
I know you have been lying awake at night wondering why baby diapers have brand names such as "Luvs", "Huggies," and "Pampers', while undergarments for old people are called "Depends".
Well here is the low down on the whole thing. When babies dirty in their pants, people are still gonna Luv'em, Hug'em and Pamper'em. When old people dirty in their pants, it "Depends" on who's in the will! Glad I got that straightened out so you can rest your mind.
