The right-wing talking head is at it again. Sarah Palin,who recently made comments at the NRA’s annual meeting saying water-boarding is how we “baptize terrorists,”respondedVia her Facebookto clear up the controversy of her asinine comments. And she isn’t backing down (shame, she did so as Governor):

“Actions to stop terrorists who’d utterly annihilate America and delight in massacring our innocent children? Darn right I’d do whatever it takes to foil their murderous jihadist plots – including water-boarding. Whatever one thinks of my one-liner at the NRA rally about treating evil terrorists the way they deserve to be treated to prevent the death of innocent people, it’s utterly absurd for MSNBC to suggest that I could put our beloved troops in harm’s way, but we’ve come to expect the absurd from that failing network. If you want to talk about what really harms our troops,let’s talk about politicians who gut our military’s budgets, or a president whose skewed budgetary priorities slash military benefits, or an administration that puts our vets on endless waiting lists for care that comes too late to help those who’ve paid the price for our freedom, or those who break bread with those who think it makes no difference how our military heroes died in Benghazi or anywhere else trying to protect America. Those actions are a heck of a lot more harmful than declaring an appropriate message our enemies should receive. If someoverly sensitive wusses took offense, remember the First Amendment doesn’t give you a right not to be offended. Perhaps hypocritical folks who only want Freedom of Speech to apply to those who agree with their liberal agenda might want to consider that the evil terrorists who were the brunt of my one-liner would be the first to strip away ALL our rights if given the chance. Yes, let’s talk about the politicians who gut our “military’s budget.” If you want to know who the politicians are that are cutting our military’s budget,look no further than your Republican counterparts who let the Fiscal Cliff reigndown on us in 2012, which automatically cut $500 billion and an additional $487 billion due to the 2011 Budget Control Act. If you don’t want the nation’s already bloated military budget to be cut, maybe you should stop putting up a front for the GOP.

Moving on, let’s talk about the “president whose skewed budgetary priorities” that has “slash(ed) military benefits.” Not surprisingly, you’re dead wrong again, and your empty little head can’t even do a friggen’ Google search on the issue. It’s just one click away, you dunce!Remember the president’s $140 billion request for FY2013 for veterans services,which was more than double what it was in 1980, when the veterans population was a third larger than it is today? Did that slip your mind? Also, remember howPresident Barack Obama proposed a 10 percent funding bumpfor the Department of Veterans Affairs for the 2014 fiscal year. That’s a budget of over $152.7 billion dollars. He may have “skewed” budgetary policies, but the Department of Veteran’s Affairs isn’t suffering.

And did it slip your mind that Republicans filibustered the Veterans Jobs Bill in 2012, a bill that would have created jobs for up to 20,000 veterans, was blocked on a procedural point, arguing that the bill was unpaid for (aw yes, I forgot, they love to offset the costs) even though it was paid for. Thanks for giving them the jobs you people have been promising all of us).

So Sarah, it IS the liberals who thank the troops. It IS the liberals who thank the vets. We’re the only ones who actually care about them!

And FYI Governor, the “liberal wussies” that won us World War IIvehemently prosecuted those who took part in water-boarding.The United States (still under control of a Democratic House, Senate and presidency) participated in the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, generally called the Tokyo War Crimes Trials. America saw to it that leading members of Japan’s military and government elite were charged, among their many other crimes, with torturing Allied military personnel and civilians. Their biggest crime? What is now called water-boarding.
