RL - oh that Bundy is a racist, not surprising.   How much more backpeddling can the Bundy supporters do?  I saw one commenter saying us libs are "missing the point" and this is only about the Fed's actions [asserting their law enforcement duties] and nothing more.  Wow, way to pick your heros and villains you rightwing wingnuts!

Ofcourse they will have to publicly denounce Bundy's words, but behind closed doors those same comments have come out of their own mouths.  How they will handle it publicly will still be interesting.

Hmmmm, as far as Bundy and his ilk ( to the right ) go,  have mouth, will stick foot in it, constantly and consistently.  Enjoy your hero people.  As for me.....I think Bundy is so low he would need to stand on a stepladder to scratch a toad's belly. What a piece of work.

I just wonder if Hannity would charge into defend the thousands of hippies, without permits, that park their hooves onto federal "sacred" meadows to celebrate such things as the Harmonic Convergence or Summer Solstice every year on one federal forest or another?  No, because he does not SHARE THEIR VALUES.  He shares Bundy's values.  "An anti-government hate broker, a deadbeat" and a racist.  This is Hannity's crowd.

I enjoy this.  The scab is being ripped of.  Everytime their brand is exposed, their power is further diminished.

They're not cuddling together yet, but they're getting along well.  The other night I kept hearing Quinn playing with the CatIt toy (a race track with a ball that rolls).  I got up (to take my AI!) and there were both of them on either side of the track playing together.  Emma likes him to chase her.  She yowls - come chase me!  He obliges  She has lost nearly 2 lbs since he's been home and I even think her newly dx'd asthma is getting better. (I've also switched to grain-free food and I think she eats less.)  Good cat karma lately.

What a cuteness factor going on in the above picture of Quinn.  Glad to hear he is having a good time with his older sister.  Just think back to the first few harrowing days of the Emma and Quinn show of shows and how easy to slip into thoughts of " Is thing going to work ???? ".

Jackie - if you had been at my house in 2008 - 2013 with my other cat and Emma, you'd understand my perspective and pessimism.  It was 2 years of total misery until that cat combo worked.  What I've come to realize, now, is that even when they "got along," Emma must have been under a dark cloud the whole time.  Constantly watching her P's & Q's around my other cat, ergo, all of her stress illnesses and obesity.  I've seen her blossom in recent weeks.  Expanding her territory, playing again, and eating less.  Ironically, it was Ms Boo who succumbed to FIP in her prime.  Btw, after talking to a Vet tech recently, I'm convinced she was exposed to FIP at the Vet's.  In fact, that Vet tech gives her own vaccinations at home so as to avoid taking her animals to the Vet for that very reason.  

I went with a purebred in hopes of getting a personality type that would match Emma.  So far, so good. They really are a wonderful breed if this one is any example.

I can well imagine.  I've been in positions I never expected.  Have had to do a lot of weird things to make situations work out.  One of my foster cats would not use a litter box though it was just that she didn't want to use one with anyone else.  We finally solved that by taking a doggie pee pad and putting into Sugar's litter box --- nothing else, just the pee pad.  From that day on we were fine.

Of course, there would be issues here in a multiple cat situation......and I can't tell you how often  a couple of my 'monsters' love to pounce on anyone who screams and yells.  It's a gotcha thing and the 'monsters' just love the sense of being able to display their abilities.  We decorate around here with squirt bottles of water.  That usually cools some of the overt enthusiasm of those with great prowess.  We do pretty good, but they all have "personalities" and all different.  The thing that keeps us going is that the whole house is open and  so there is plenty of space to keep a respectable distance if anyone is not up to closeness. 

The only thing we have ever done is keep Autumn separate for eating, sleeping overnight, and litter pan necessities.  Since her former owner had all four sets of claws removed.....though she is far, far better than she was when she first came,  she still has times when it is clear she feels vulnerable.   I don't think she will ever interact as the rest, but the progress she has made is great.  I can be happy with things as they are.

Kam .. Quinn is so damn cute!  I love him.

Cool and sprinkly here today.  Glad I got all the mowing down for the week yesterday. Really need to wash the car as there is a layer of pollen covering the whole thing.  I am so allergic to that stuff.  Good thing Benadryl doesn't make me sleepy.  I think next week I'll go see my PCP and get a heavy duty allergy shot.

Finally stopped raining long enough to walk the dogs.  Everything looks so pretty and green right now.  The blossoms are still on the dogwood trees too.

Rained here during the night Bren.....but this morning -- fantastic.  So, rather than doing so much of what I had intended....I've been out of doors and took a two mile walk.  Likely I will get lazy and go have a nap and then get conscious enough to watch  Mr. Ed.  See how many more people have back pedaled away from Mr. Bundy....one of the rt. wing saviors who look so good at first glance and turn out just so blunderific for the left.

I really feel sorry for Mr Bundy.  He took an unfortunate stand on something that didn't exist and was held up as an example to the right wing.  He didn't ask to be their hero, but they (right wing news media, pundits, hatetriots with guns) slapped a cape on him and did it anyway.  And now he's shamed before millions for speaking his mind.

I'm not defending anything he said or did.  He's wrong, wronger, wrongest and a bigot to boot.  Most people of that sort have the luxury of shaming themselves privately.  But not Mr. Bundy.  It's really sad.
