I Come to the Garden...

Good heavens. Has she been out of the country in the last couple years? Hope they get a handle on that fast.
-
No, she had bariatric surgery 10 years ago, and had to have it reconnected in January because of too much weight loss now but she had been fine for years.
-
Bree turned a corner yesterday and is now in guarded condition. Drs found multiple ulcers which were why she needed so much blood (5 pints). She will be held at the hospital until mid April to pull her through the malnutrition. Her dad picked up a bug and is not allowed to visit her until he gets over it.
Thank you all for your prayers, they are working!
I was informed yesterday that the woman I have been substituting for will not be returning to work. They will be flying the position in a couple of weeks. Just because I have been doing the job since November doesn't mean I will get the job, but please help me pray for His will to be done here and that I will accept whatever the outcome.
-
Meece, multiple prayers coming your way!!!! His will be done....
-
Praying for His will to be done Meece
-
Ohhhhh, I hope that's already the answer to prayer Meece! Will be praying!
-
Praying here too, Meece. Also prayers for Bree's continued improvement.

Thank you, everyone. The Assistant principal hinted that I have a very good chance at the job. But I will be up against union workers and that is difficult.
Bree was placed back on the ventilator last night. She's not out of the woods after all.
-
Hey everyone: been out of commision (as usual) for awhile .with a bad infection this time my lungs.. I'm so happy about bree, Meece But, now that they know, she'll get the proper tx.. Praying for your family daily, Meece, and new the job!
During my time out; we lost my father in law. He died peacefully at home, where he wanted to be. I couldn't make the tri,p so DH at least had my oldest there with him..
I'll pop up again, gals.. 3jays

I personally am doing as well as can be..but am worried about my daughter..has a tubular pregnancy..treatment has started ..waiting for results..need all the prayers she can get!
-
Valsa, prayers going out to your daughter. I didn't know you could successfully resolve a tubal pregnancy!
-
me either. Must be new technology.
-
after a laparoscopy the conclusion is that it's not a tubular pregnancy...but she is under observation
-
Valsa, I can't believe they would chance a laparoscopy on what was potentially a pregnant woman! Wow, your DDs been through a tough patch. Does that mean she's not even pregnant at all?
-
yes..sad but true..
-
Giver her a hug from us to her!!!
-
thanks all for your support..this took a heavy toll on me to as I am recovering from my surgery and still struggling with a lot of issues..but then this is life eh? One day at a time as the song goes!
-
I would ask for prayers, ladies.. My MS is progressing at a disturbing rate. I "failed" on the Copaxone, and its the only one I could take, because of estrogen based cancer. I'm trying really hard to lean on Him, and trust this is all in His plan.
Wishing you all a Blessed Easter.

3jays, quality of life might over-ride the risk of breast cancer at this point. It would have taken years to build up the DCIS, couldn't you consider the drug that worked and just monitor your breasts more closely? I know my own body fat is feeding my hormonal levels but I just stay vigilant as I just can't seem to lose weight and in fact am gaining as I try to lose!!! You have never left my prayers, sweetie!!
-
Cherie 3jays, I'll definitely be praying for you. I so hope the doctors will find something you can take that will help and agree with you too. May you have a Blessed Easter, the season of the greatest Miracle of all.
We've just returned from a Tenabrae service at church, the most solemn and powerful service of the year. The confirmands and their mentors each read Scripture of Christ's Passion, and at the end, with the church in darkness, my daughter sings "Were You There". The last verse is done acapella. Oh my. Then we leave silently. My husband and I, and others too, weep all through the song. This service truly shows the Gift we have been given in our Savior and what He did for us, so undeserving.
May you each have a Blessed Easter, my friends.

I LOVE that song Kathy. Any chance it was recorded and you can send a link?
-
Happy Resurrection Day my Garden girls! May Our Lord Jesus Christ hold you close today as you celebrate his life as the Risen King!
-
Amen
-
Thanks for the thoughts, Barbe. But in my mind, I'm NEVER going to take a chance with BC again. I'll die of ms before bc, I hope..
Cathy, the service sounds absolutely beautiful! thanks for telling us about it, and Huurah for your daughter singing!!!

Hi, 3jays. Hope you had a nice Easter too. I cooked but the kids helped out by bringing side dishes so it wasn't too hard. All had a good time, especially us grandparents.
Joni, no the service wasn't recorded although I'd love to have a recording of my DD singing that. She hasn't been singing except at church since the birth of her daughter 8 months ago. She double majored in vocal performance and elementary education and teaches music at an elementary school now.
Yet another funeral to attend tomorrow at church, a 77 year old man who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Our minister always opens funerals by saying that our church has lost another saint who has entered the Church Triumphant. I like that.
Hope all are well and busy.

Just checking in to see how you girls are doing. Glad winter is gone and Spring is here. Time to pull those weeds.
I had my annual mammo on the one remaining breast last Wednesday. I've been called back for more pictures and an ultra sound. I'm hoping it is nothing. I can't imagine dealing with breast cancer right now. I could use your prayers as I' haven't been feeling well. I have suffered with canker sores since February (big ones, more than one at a time) so eating has been difficult. I'm being checked for iron deficiency. I work full time so I need energy. I feel faint most of the time, and begun to have head aches. Pray that the doctor can fine the cause. Like all of you, I just want to be well so I can work and take care of my family.
(((hugs & prayers)))

Many, many healing and good wishes prayers coming your way Hindsfeet!!!! Please keep us posted. You are not alone....
-
Valsa, I am so sorry that your daughter is going through this. I pray she will be pain free soon.
Three Jays, so good to see you, but sorry that you are experiencing a progression ofyour MS. I can totally understand not wanting to go through BC and tx for it again, but I do not know the symptoms of MS so I cannot make comparisons.
Barbe, I can so relate to weight gain. I feel like the only way I am going to lose weight will be to fast 6 days a week.
One of my coworkers who has been very supportive of me since I started working at my current position is going in for surgery to remove a brain tumor tomorrow. Please keep Lisa in prayer.
I feel very good at my job. Last Friday the administration sent eight of us to a special lunch for Administrative Professionals Week. The school secretary asked to pray the blessing over the food and everyone participated. We spoke of religious things and no one was offended. I really feel like I am supposed to be here. Yesterday DH spoke to the AP to see if I was on the interview list for a different job. He said he didn't want me on the list because he wants me to get the job I am doing now. I hope it all works out. May His will be done.

May 21st I am schedule for a biopsy. There were no calcifications just spotted a new lump. I asked the rad doctor if they would do a MRI instead of a biopsy as I do not want an biopsy...unless I absolutely need it. It cost about the same for a biopsy as a surgery. I highly doubt it is anything.
-
Dear Lord, please be with Hindsfeet as she awaits the biopsy. Please help the doctors choose the best test for her that will reveal the answers she needs. Be with each of us as we start a new month. In Christ's name I pray, Amen.
