I'm grateful the curtains I ordered online were true to color and look great with the new paint color in the dining room.

Day 93: grateful I got to see a friend I haven't seen in a while. We text almost daily, it was great to get a hug. Between my BC stuff and her medical conditions (heart probs, asthma, skin cancer and other stuff) we keep the medical profession in business.

    Day #94

Today I am grateful that my DD has just celebrated her 4th anniversary of sobriety. What a difference it has made to her life!

Susie, yay about the curtains. I think I would have been too nervous to order them online.

Maddy, hugs are so important! How are you feeling? ((((Maddy))))

Pooh, really, it's kind of scary! Are you sure you're not my sister by another mother? Glad you got that haircut fixed. We always feel better when we look better. And vice versa I suppose.

Red, we live in a very rural area and the closest big store ( Kohls, Penny's, Target) is an hours drive over the mountain so we order a lot of stuff online. It's kind of a trade off for living in the woods.:)

Today I'm grateful for the rain, hopefully it will wash away the pollen so my nose will stop running.

Day 94: grateful for an inspirational email from a sweet aunt. Actually, she's DH's (late) uncle's ex, so it's amazing she's still in my life. She has the most uncanny ability to sense when I'm in need of inspiration and sends the message I most need to read (hear). She won't allow me to stay at a low point for very long

grateful that my sister survived a rather tortuous family get-together with her in-laws....and that the weather forecast is cautiously optimistic.

April 5th- grateful for the fun time I am having in Texas visiting old friends and places I have not been to in years. Bonus was I met a Dallas Cowboys legend last night, Rayfield Wright, at our dinner club outing. Super nice guy, got some fun pics too!

PoohBear, we have snow and high winds today. I am so tired of winter!

Maddy, your aunt sounds lovely. I'm glad she is still in your life.

Honey, I love reading too. I have an e-reader now tho, so no library for me.

Nel, thrift shops. Yay!!! Love em.

Onco, that's funny. I'm staring at my empty little boxes right now.

Jazzy, good for you. I hope you have a great visit.

    Day #95

Today I am grateful that I got to see some relatives last night at my nephew's bday party. I only stayed for an hour, but it was nice.

I'm grateful that I was able to participate in a 'Kids Against Hunger' event in our town. 399 other volunteers and I assembled 180,000 packets (a scoop of fortified soy powder, a scoop of dried vegetables, a cup of barley & a cup of rice....when water is added, this will become a nutritious casserole that will feed 12 people), half of which will be distributed to regional food pantries & half to hungry children around the world. Very cool!

Oh Ruth. How wonderful! I need to see if our town does anything like that.

I think any town can. It just takes a local group to organize things. Our Kiwanis group works with the Kids Against Hunger people (it's a national...or maybe international organization, you could google them). Local service groups, churches, and individuals donate the money for the supplies and volunteer to do the packing. I know they had packing events in towns all over our area today.

*I just googled them myself, and they operate both in the US and Canada!

I'm grateful that even though severe weather is moving in, we are not in the red area so hopefully no tornados, just heavy rain. Spring has arrived in Georgia.

Day 96: glad I got myself out today even if just to drive around, sitting in a park and reading a new book. Wish I would have had How to Be A Friend to a Friend Who's Sick. Would have helped with many so-called "friends". Now I have a strategy.

Thanks once again to my BCO friends!!
