    OK, it's been a rough couple weeks at work, and I've done way too much comfort food seeking.  Where am I going to dig up some motivation to do better????

    ((NM)) while external forces can help, what really matters is what's inside your head.

    I happen to be currently motivated by summer vacation plans (macro-motivation) but it comes down to each moment (micro-motivation).  Will I eat a donut or not?  Should I get up from my desk and stretch my legs?  Water or soda? 

    Every decision is an opportunity.  As I feel better and see improvement, it gets easier to make the healthier choice.  I still make bad decisions but they tend to be the ones I make without thinking. 

    If that doesn't help, how about knowing it's only 18 days, 9 hours, and 20 mins 'til Spring!

    Yeah for Spring!  

    I know I need to get more exercise.  That's what I need to work on.  But the day to day, minute to minute choices do make a big difference.  

    I think I need to settle on a single, baby step goal, work on that for a week or two, and then move on.

    One good thing about small decision points is you can control "now".

    I'll be gone the next two Fridays.  Going to a conference for work for a few days then headed to FL to move mom.  Will fly down then drive her car north ahead of the moving van.  It's a big change and I hope she adjusts to life in an apt.  I found a nice place that has indep. living (for now) and assisted living (should she need more services in the future).  Been working on getting everything ready.

    Happy belated Birthday, Ainm, and keep it up birdies!  It's almost Spring!!  ♥

    NM I wish I knew what to tell you.  I read food labels and buy the option that's better (or less bad) for me.  For example, I bought some Girl Scout cookies today and chose Cranberry Citrus Crisps (serving of 4 cookies has 150 cal, 40 of which are from fat (27%) over Caramel Delights (serving of 2 cookies has 130 cal, 60 of which are from fat (47%) or Lemonades (serving of 2 cookies has 150 cal, 60 of which are from fat (40%)).   Four cookies is a more satisfying snack than two cookies, eh? ♥
