grateful this AM to be at the Cape for the weekend, just me and my pup. Quiet, restful, no expectations from anyone to do anything. Now if the sun would come out ant the temp would go up!.

Day #74
Today I am grateful that my last day of full breast rads was yesterday. Now I have the weekend to let my burn tone down a bit before a week of boosts.
Nel, so glad you are getting some downtime. Hope the sun emerges!

-
Grateful for spending the day with DH just goofing off. We hit a few estate sales today and I found some wonderful cookbooks published in the 60's and 70's for a quarter or fifty cents each.
-
I am very grateful that I went over to spend part of the afternoon with a friend who is recovering from hip surgery. She had two pot roasts cooking in a big crock pot for company who was supposed to arrive this evening. While I was there, they called & had to cancel.....so she sent me home with one of the roasts! Whoo Hoo, no cooking for me tonight!
-
Ruth, lol. Good for you!! No cooking for me either! My ex invited me and my DH for dinner.
-
Yesterday grateful to have spent the evening with girlfriend just sitting around the kitchen table talking late into the night and today grateful for a lovely sunny day with a nice sea breeze
I just made a cup of tea and I sure wish I had a piece of cheesecake to go with it.....
-
Day #75
Today I am grateful to have spent an hour on the phone with a friend I've had since I was 11. We don't see each other too much now due to distance, but whenever we chat, it's like zero time has passed.
-
WOW is it really day 75 ,......
Grateful for spending time this weekend with my sister in law and her hubby .......we had a good supper
and great conversation ........I had a half glass of wine which i had not had in over a year ......it was great !!!
( I get migraines from wine so I stay away from it )........also grateful for the leftover cheesecake !!!!!!
-
I have got to get some cheesecake - craving after reading all here.
Grateful for a great evening with friends last night and could I just say it is easier to do the limbo with one boob. You can angle in and under much easier! Had a great time last night. Tired this AM, but all good. Hmm do I leave the Cape today or tomorrow? Decisions, decisions.
-
lol Nel.... glad that you found an advantage in having one boob...someone else mentioned an improved golf swing ....cus nothing was in the way .......

-
Yes, Barbe said that Pooh! Looking forward to finding out if having half a boob is good for golfing too. Lol.
Limbo eh? Hmmmm - never was very good at that. Maybe I'd be better now, Nel.

grateful that I did not kill the golden retriever that I am dog sitting, I went to the gym this morning and while I was away she managed to knock over the two trash cans in the kitchen and proceeded to have a fine old time, she had bitten through the cat food cans, taken paper bags and cups into the back yard and shredded it everywhere, tromped tea bags all over the floor ... Get the picture, I was mad but really it's my fault cause I know she's a very naughty girl, but she's so pretty that she looks at you and you just have to laugh!!!!
-
-
HBcheryl- I am laughing about the bad girl golden. My sister has one like that too, she acts like she has not eaten in years. My sister has to always keep an eyeball on her.
I am grateful for good energy today and the beautiful bouquet of gladiolas I found at Trader Joes for on $5.99 Little bit of spring for the house. Photo attached.

-
I am grateful for a nice, relaxing afternoon at home.
-
Jazzy they're lovely.
-
Jazzy...love those flowers.
hbcheryl...that sounds like something my baby Buttercup would do. She gets into everything but when you see that face your heart melts.
Today I'm grateful that my oldest is home for spring break. Selfish I know, but I'm grateful he's here instead of in Florida with his fraternity brothers. I think I've saw one to many spring break movies.

-
I am grateful for my Irish great-great grandmother!

-
hbcheryl,
Thank you for sharing the adventures of baby sitting the golden retriever! My dog Chloe (in heaven for 2.5 years) decided she would "help" with the blanket I was crocheting by dragging it around furniture and unravelling half of the blanket. I caught her with the blanket in her mouth and her tail wagging! She was so proud of herself!
Thank you hbcheryl that made my day!
-
I've been away for the weekend so have missed two days and this is the third so here goes.......
Saturday......I was grateful to be able to attend a dinner that had a twenty piece swing band as entertainment.
Sunday........I was very grateful that I didn't do too much damage to myself as I insisted on dancing to that swing band......hahahahahaha!.......it was soooooo much fun!
Today.........I am grateful to be able to sit around in my house, still in my pjs, relaxing......yay!
Pooh.....mmmm, you got me thinking I need cheese cake and I'm trying to loose weight......oh what the hell, I need to go do something so a cheese cake sounds like a good thing to me.......
-
ok, last week was one hell of a week! I am officially almost one week behind! Yikes!
Day 70: grateful my follow up appt with MO went so well! He's extremely happy with last Dexa (actually a bit better than prior one - said he wished all his patients had my numbers!) and gastroenterologist for pre-colonoscopy appt. Still confusion about upcoming weekend though
Day 71: grateful the weekend retreat is ON!
Day 72: grateful the weather in the mtns is much warmer this year than previous years so didn't have to pack snow gear. Laundry and packing went quickly.
Day 73: grateful I followed a friend up to the mtns (didn't get lost and had to concentrate on following and not looking over the ledge to see how high up we were). Asked for bottom bunk (still not comfortable with lack of upper body strength to hoist myself up the ladder to the upper bunk) and got it! Since mine was last minute request, so grateful that 2 of my roomies were ladies I already know and like (got to know them better).
Day 74: grateful we were given ear plugs as another lady in our room slept almost the whole weekend, snored very loudly and talked in her sleep (kept asking questions when I was trying to sleep).
Day 75: grateful for an awesome weekend! I won 2 prizes in the raffle draw (gave the big prize to a friend for her b-day next week) and passed the other prize on to someone else. Spoke with the same friend and smoothed over some rough patches. Was close to my parents so I stopped by there for a couple hours, had dinner with them, and get to spend a some time with one of their neighbors.
Grateful I am caught up!
-
Grateful for my daughters crazy sense of humor ......she put little yellow "post its" ( those little yellow sticky notes called "post its" ) on her boobs and walk up to me and said HEY MOM ...have you seen my post TITS...OMG I laughed so hard .......

-
Jumping on the band wagon:
Today I am grateful to be going back to work after recovering from my lumpectomy for the past week. I'm grateful that I have a job that pays a decent wage and provides me with good health insurance. Crossing my fingers that I'm not going back to total chaos.

-
Welcome ChristyJ.
Day #76
Today I am grateful for a little bit of money that came my way today. The mortgage is safe for another 2 weeks without having to dip into savings! Yay!!!
Cheryl, I have a golden lab 2.7 years old, so I know Exactly what you mean. Although it was my shepherd that snatched 9 of the 20 steaks I had marinating on the counter for a dinner party and was out the door before you could say boo.
Maddy, so glad you got to go on the retreat after all! So glad you had a wonderful time. How like you to give away your prizes.
Chrissy, a swing band -cool. Pj day - cooler. Lol
Pooh, I have got to do that at work! They have a great sense of humour so I think it will go over great! Your daughter is too funny!
