Day #66
Good morning lovely ladies. This morning I am grateful for coffee. I know this sounds trivial but sitting in the kitchen looking out the window on a Saturday morning and enjoying a couple of cups of coffee is one of my small pleasures.
Susie, sorry to read about your loss. (((((Susie)))))
-
Hi Red ....Not trivial at all .....I am not a coffee drinker but a good big breakfast on a Sunny Saturday morning make me feel the same way. Isnt Happiness learning how to appreciate and be grateful for the little things in life ......

Today I am grateful for the sun that is melting the 5 feet of snow on my front lawn .
-
Grateful for the forecast of a 'warming trend'.
I think people who find pleasure in little things are the happiest people....life has many more 'ordinary' than 'extraordinary' moments.

-
I love this quote & think it fits well here:

-
Today I'm grateful that I found the tea shop in Canberra which had Apple Crumble Tea..........and that is what it tastes like and is soooo yummy I make a pot for myself each day........but I would love to be able to share it with you all.
Ruth, I love that page and it is soooo true!
-
Ruth great quote. Words to live by!
-
yes great quote Ruth ..I actually read it to my daughter and DH yesterday when i found it on another thread that you had posted it on ...I loved it !!
-
Ruth, thanks for sharing "Make the Ordinary Come True". I had never read those words before but they are wonderful ones.
I am grateful for dark chocolate which I can eat now and my hiaitel hernia does not rebel and cause pain after doing so.
-
Yay Honey!
-
What a great thread!
I am grateful for my eyes
today, and my feet to walk me to the store
my hands to type
tomorrow we shall see
1 day at a time

March 8th gratitude- lunch with a friend/part of my support system and a bit of retail therapy too!
-
-
I am grateful OncoWarrior put something about Daylight Savings Time on another thread I read, because otherwise I wouldn't have known. I looked it up a little while ago but must have gotten my wires crossed, as I thought it wasn't until the 29th! I have re-set my clock now!!
-
Day 66: grateful DD was home today (and could de-stress a bit). Also glad I got the live lizard out of the house - the one the cat brought in. Also, got a streak of energy and pulled a whole lot of weeds (ground soft from recent rains so easy to do).
Day 67: grateful a friend called and we had a long talk. Went out this evening and to attend a friend's presentation on a new business venture; lots of streets closed, many detours so glad I didn't get lost (with a little help from GPS in the middle of nowhere).
We're 2/3 through our 100 days!
-
Day #68
Today I am grateful to get that silly heart monitor off. Tough to sleep well with wires all over the place. I move a lot when sleeping.
Still don't get DST. Who is it better for? We have one province in Canada that refuses to change their clocks. It's primarily agricultural and I totally get it. Cows don't know DST and still want to get milked at the same time! Going to be a bummer going to work in the dark again.
Have a lovely Sunday ladies.
-
March 9th gratitude- grateful for the evening light that returns beginning today. Good for my extra walks I want to do beginning tonight!
-
We know many of the girls & families of the girls on our local high school basketball team & I'm grateful that they won their play-in game yesterday & get to go to the state tournament!
-
Grateful for this GIZMO .........its called a Girolle and its for shaving tete de moin cheese .........
I try to stay dairy free BUT just cant help myself when this is around .....I had this on toast this morning with scrambled eggs and home made salsa ....ummmmmmmm.......SOOOOO GOOOOD ....
2ndtime...lucky you ..I love pulling weeds out of the garden ....cant wait for the 5 feet of snow to melt.
Red... glad your heart monitor is off ..hope the data from it is all good !!!
-
Maddy I have a Rose blooming, can you believe it....
Susie I am so sorry for your loss.
Okay a couple of days behind.
Friday grateful for my health, Saturday grateful to spend a lovely afternoon/evening with friends sitting at a waterfront restaurant enjoying good food, good friends and beautiful sunset.
Today grateful that I'm able to sit in bed with my iPad and not even worry about the 'lost hour'
-
I am grateful today because the forsythia is out. Hooray for spring!
-
-
I am grateful because it was nice enough for me to walk outside today. Whoo Hoo!
-
Thanks for the hugs. My friend was 45, so young, which makes me think about the saying Ruth posted. I am grateful for those ordinary moments, because, when we look back it is those ordinary moments that we cherish.
-
Day 68: grateful that some OTC pills helped me feel better today. Was pleased (and shocked) that DD expressed appreciation for doing some things for her (laundry, got some things she wanted), as well as making a big Sunday dinner (sliced turkey breast, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and corn bread dressing) and me doing all the dishes so she get caught up with homework and paperwork from her 2 jobs.
HBC, saw your photo of the rose - beautiful! Turns out some of my roses have bloomed and died but I didn't know as they're on the side of the house, not visible by windows.
Red, glad the monitor is off.
Curve, I remember forsythia, haven't thought about that in years,
Ruth, glad you got outside.
Susie, sorry for your loss.
Pooh, that gadget looks cool!
-
Oops! Missed one again!
I am grateful for all the lovely ladies that I have met in reality and cyberly from BCO.........a true bunch of sisters that I look forward to seeing each day.
Today I am grateful for the tme to sit and do a bit more of this blanket that started as a throw and is ending up a bedspread!
-
Day #69
Today I am grateful for temps above zero - ok we're at 1 right now. Going to 6 today tho, and 7 tomorrow, then back to -18 on Wednesday.
Not grateful for daylight savings time as I am once again driving to work in the dark. Lol.
