bren, it's a shame u lost the property on Hilo' but sometimes giving up everything is worth shucking a terrible "partner".
So not looking forward to surgery, but even more sick of the pain I've been in. Shoulder replacement is a replacement of both the ball and socket. It's done by cutting off the top of the arm bone (the ball) and inserting a metal one with a rod that extends down into the upper bone of the arm. The socket is a piece of plastic that is apparently glued in place. When the are in there I guess they'll also clean up any damage to the rotator cuff that has been caused by the big bone spurs.

Love the pics Blue. Especially the Pope Francis graphic. Right on. Hmmm, yes. About midnight tonight.....we gleet and inch??? of sleet first and then snow....maybe three or four inches. That is enough to drive on, but still worrisome to have ice underneath. I think the city will do some work ( I hope ) to keep it at bay in town......but if the township brings the snowplow out here.....that won't be great....they don't bring material to melt ice......so we'd be better off to have the snow left.
Hawaii sounds like heaven right about now. Enjoy GG.
Off to get a no-no at some fast food place. Just not going to cook anymore today.

Good morning everyone:

Jackie
-
Chickadee - you've had it too rough lately.
Wishes for your speedy recovery. -
Hi Gals,
Thinking about Chickadee this a.m. I checked her post in the Stage IV thread and she hasn't been back on-line. I'm really scared about how sick she is. I hope there is some improvement today.
Gorgeous day here .. mid 60's and the sun is out. Snow and freezing rain forecast for tomorrow. Sandy ... I'm with you, I hate winter. I am so sick of the snow, sleet and rain and freezing temps. These little bright spots in the weather just make it harder to withstand the winter.
Thank goodness for daylight savings time. Do you guys know when we change the clocks? For some reason, I thought it was this weekend.
Jackie .. you've been putting in some very long hours. Don't know how you do it and take care of your home in the forest. I barely have time to take care of everything here and I'm just working part time right now.
Gumby .. when do you leave for Hilo? Yes, I would rather be without that acre of land than still stuck with that horrible husband. My mother told me the day after the wedding that I should have it annulled immediately. I wish I had listened to her. I made a huge mistake.
Time to get busy on my mailings, or maybe not, might pick up the logs, limbs and twigs that fell down in the back.
hugs,
Bren

sending love & healing wishes to our Chickadee....pneumonia is hard without bc, damn, she's has such a rough time lately....
cold here, but nothing compared to what we're expecting for the next week, no new snow, but nothing has melted for weeks so we're still packed in.
GG - I hurt just READING about your surgery....when will you have it? Expect there's a lot of physical therapy after....good luck! Meanwhile, enjoy Hawaii...
-
More love and healing wishes for Chickadee. I hope they get the pneumonia cleared up quickly.
Bren, we change to daylight savings time on March 9th.
More snow and very cold here...seriously starting to think if this is going to become the norm I need to get one of those light box things to combat S.A.D.
-
rr - can't WAIT for DST. Even tho' we'll still have piles of snow on the ground, just so LOVE having more light at night.
Thinking of Chickadee. Pneumonia is such a difficult disease. Which also has me wondering, have YOU ( yes you!) gotten the Pneumonia vaccine. Think it's important, if you haven't. A very special person I know died of pneumonia, very young, he was in hospital in Boston, and they just couldn't clear it. Know there are different types of pneumonia, think the vaccine is only for one, but can't remember if it's the viral or bacterial one. Anyhow - ask you doc about getting the vaccine next appt. Or even CALL. They used to give them at same time as Flu vaccines, don't know if they do anymore.
Athena will be "watching" what all the stars are wearing tonight. Fashion season isn't fun anymore.....

I'm very happy to announce the birth of my third grandson, Benjamin Arthur, 7 lbs, 3 oz. I forgot my camera, so you'll have to take my word for it. He's very handsome! Pictures will follow.
-
-
Congrats Blue - we don't need a camera - I am SURE he's handsome!
-
Blue ... that is so wonderful! I'm very happy Benjamin is here. Is this your other daughter's baby or your son's? I know it's the first one for either of them. You must be so happy. Three wonderful babies.
hugs,
Bren
-
Josie's first! Off to see them!
-
Congratulations blue! We now both have three grandsons.
-
Blue .. Congrats to Josie! I imagine she's just beaming right now. Can't wait for the pictures. I'm so envious of you and Yorkie with three grandsons to love. I get to see my two boys next month ... so looking forward to seeing them.
hugs,
Bren
