Okay, so I'm bored watching the Superbowl. I'm rooting for the Seahawks
only because I'm a birder. I just saw it and it's not even a hawk! It's an augur buzzard.
They live in Africa on the grassland. An Osprey would have been a much
better mascot!

Here is my Superbowl Story, my daughters were watching the Superbowl and I was reading in my room, when my daughters screams, that's the bird.  Everyday when my daughter walks she has been seeing a bird along the lake side that she had not seen before and her pictures of such were blurry.  So they had a Seahawk and it was the bird that has been along the lake the last couple of weeks.  We looked up such in our bird book and yep, a Seahawk.

I havne't been birding or doing too much been really tired and sick with this round of chemo.  Love ducks too, Teka, I ususally have a pair of mergansers every year but this year nothing yet.  It just started to rain finally around here and hopefully the birds will start coming later as they migrate back north.

M..I would love to see a Seahawk, bird that is..

I saw this at the pond at the zoo..

I looked up Seahawk and it said osprey. My youngest GS can spot ospreys a mile away, also their nests. Both parents are avid birders and worked with birds for a living for years. They had jobs keeping the construction people away from the snowy plovers at Owens Lake.

I saw this guy flutter in the tree in Montana..

Don't know Teka...haven't see any indication of problems..yet...
