Day #17
Yippee! Finally!
Today I am grateful to all the people who made this vacation possible! My supv, my boss, my DD (who is babysitting my furbabies) my DS (who agreed to come over and shovel while we're gone) my temp, my mother who bought me this trip for Christmas and of course my DH (my best friend) who stayed on an even keel this week while my emotions ran amok. Wow. Is that ever a run on sentence.
Grit love the tattoo.
-
Red, have a fabulous time! Don't think of us, just enjoy.
Gritgirl, thank you for sharing your beautiful tat with us. Does it make your smile when you see it now?
Ziggy, just heard smoking is even worse for health than previously thought. Even more glad you gave it up
-
Gorgeous tattoo! You all have the best tattoo artists in that neck of the woods (ex: Vinnie Myers).
Today I am grateful that (drum roll please) my DIL (whose mom is BRCA 1 positive), is BRCA NEGATIVE! Yay hoo! Sooo relieved for her and our two little granddaughters.
Red - Savor every minute!
-
Grit - love the tattoo! It is beautiful
grateful to have a job where my time is very flexible and was able to have breakfast with a good friend this AM, now to work!
-
Lucy - Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
gritgirl that's very pretty. You can't even see the mastectomy scar. What an awesome idea!
Today I'm grateful for another Friday with my MIL grocery shopping and the fact that I came in under budget, by $13, but hey, I'll take it.
-
farmer. Great news.
Red, enjoy the vacay.
Nel, I'm grateful for an understanding job too.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I feel much better looking at myself in the mirror. I hated that scar and the constant reminder. Nice to feel good about my breasts again, although I am still angry at them for trying to kill me.
-
Grateful that today the skies were blue and the day was sunny, though cold.
-
gritgirl, your tattoo is so beautiful. So glad you shared your photo with us.
-
"clickchick....what kind of camera do you have?"
Thanks for asking Nihahi...it's a Canon 5d mark iii. I've just picked up a manual, so soon I may actually know what I'm doing with it
Meanwhile, I'm having fun playing around. Just took these hawks mating in my yard the other day.
-
clickchick. Gorgeous
-
WOW what an awesome picture clickchick....beautiful!
And your tattoo is gorgeous, gritgirl! Really, really beautiful.
Well today I am thankful that one of our bco gals is OK, after we had worried all afternoon that she had been in an accident. Turned out to be just a mixup! Whew.
-
I know right? So worried!
Clickchick that photo is excellent. You have true talent!!!!
-
Forgot to mention that I made wyo's oatmeal recipe last night and its quite good. (Except I had to wake up with an alarm to turn it off!). Our SAM'S doesn't carry the cherries, so I am now making a diff recipe from that site, that has apples and the steel cut oatmeal. But I'm making it now so I can put it up before going to bed. Nicer to wake up to it being nice and warm, but prefer to sleep late. SO glad wyo shared that with us!
-
clickchick - great picture! Saw some baldheaded eagles the other day (on my roadtrip). They are HUGE! Wish I had a camera that day.
-
(I retired last spring after 38 years of teaching. The young teacher who replaced me had a minor surgery this week.) I am grateful that I could go and take over her class, giving her one less thing to worry about, AND I am grateful that I did retire because that was a lot of work!
-

Ziggy, you must be feeling so much better-that is so great, keep it up we are all proud of you!
RedReading, enjoy your holiday and have lots of fun!
Click chick, great photo! I love photography as well and find I look at things differently now-almost like I put much more effort into "finding" a picture
Today I am grateful for being able to go out with friends for breakfast, it was nice to catch up on things.
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!
-
Thanks for the positive comments on my picture, ladies--I appreciate it. The backyard is my happy place. I just go out there with the camera and my 2 pups and the hours fly by.
-
Thanks for the camera info AND thanks for sharing that incredible photo!
I am grateful to be able to see all the beautiful things in nature.
-
I am grateful that the leak under my sink was a minor problem and the contractor's crew fixed it in about ten minutes.
-
I am grateful that the wind change that bought all the smoke from the fires has turned again and made it easier to breath. I'm also grateful that there are wonderful people who volunteer to fight the fires to keep us all safe.
Click, love the pic!
Red, have fun and enjoy your vacy!
-

Day # 18 I am grateful that my Darling rubbed my feet for an hour today, it was bliss!
-
An hour?! Very nice Rakovina. My DH does foot rubs but never do they last an hour - I would be in heaven.
Grateful that our Aussie sisters are safe from the fires burning there and that the winds have shifted away from Chrissy.
Also grateful to be heading out with my sister for the weekend to see her son compete in a skating competition and spend the night at another sisters place.
-
Morning ladies!
I am grateful for pretty days and the energy to do winter clean up chores around our property.
Click - We have a blue heron that visits the farm pond. Someday I'd love to get some pics of him. (We call him Jasper) Also for you Canadians, we have some of your geese wintering over here.
