Wow ok hope it goes well sorry we missed you
-
My appointment with Vinny is Wednesday in Baltimore! I can't wait. Friday will make one year since Bi-MX. Happy to get this part behind me. Thanks to everyone for your posts on nips. The information has been priceless.
-
Good luck OBXflygirl - Let us know how everything goes!
-
Obx you are going to love his work he did an amazing job on me. I was so surprised how real it looked.
-
Thank you, thank you! I will let you know how it goes. Wednesday can't get here fast enough.....:)
-
Vinny is my new hero! It was virtually painless for me. I did take a couple Tylenol before. Figured it couldn't hurt. His work is amazing and for the first time in a year, I feel like my old self and whole. It is such a good feeling to look down and see areolas .... He shaded my nipples also.
It was a great day! He's easy to talk to and makes you feel right at home. -
Yay! So glad it went well!
-
Obx I love what Vinny did for me it has been 9 days for me now they are a bit flaky now following the instructions for care closely I think one more day with the ointment then I'm gonna start using coco butter
-
Carroll2..that's good to know as far as what to expect. I'm being super careful also. Hope the healing goes as well as yours. Thanks for the
Input. -
This thread is very helpful - thanks for the info! I have an appointment with Vinnie in 2 weeks. I had the tatts done in the PS office in April and they didn't come out well. I'm really happy with the implants, etc., and can't say enough good things about my PS, but the tatts came out very very light and look like make-up if you can picture that. I picked the color because I was afraid of them coming out too dark. The nipple was reconstructed (from scar) in Dec. 2012 and came out good - the PS kept saying "we lost projection" but that's fine with me! I'm hoping Vinnie can make the tatts look a little better.
-
Shore mine lost projection more on one side than the other and Vinny made them look even I love it
-
Bad Experience with Vinnie?
Has anyone had or has heard of anyone who's had a negative or not so positive experience with Vinnie? If so, could you say how?
Been reading this and the nipple reconstruction topic posts most of today as I'm recuperating from nipple surgery.
Wish I had read it earlier (and saw Vinnie's portfolio as I think I would have gone with the 3-D tattoos.
Now I just want to make sure Vinnie is a better choice than my plastic surgeon or her assistant before putting down a deposit.
Thanks a lot for any feedback!

I've not read one negative post about Vinnie. My PS does tattooing also but when I showed her his web site, she said "I can't do that" and said if it were her, she would choose Vinnie. The PS also said PS's don't use the same kind of ink as tattoo ink and Vinnie's wouldn't fade.
I don't know if it's true or not but I took her advice and went. I have CV flap nips and couldn't be more pleased. -
I'm hoping to get rescheduled with Vinnie again for my tattoos. I'm supposed to get a call Monday to set up a date. I'm hoping that this last surgery evened everything up. Right now it is but the months will tell for sure.
-
That was my way of thinking. I knew if I got tattoos when I was unhappy about the unevenness there would be nothing I could do after getting tattoos. Just hoping I can get in before the end of the year.
-
Got my tatoos over my cv flap nipples sept 10th and love them. They are just getting slightly light thin scabs now but you cat tell. My sister is here visiting and was amazed at how real they look. It was def worth the trip to go to him us we had a blast in Nola celebrating the new me

Just saw this on Youtube.....a tattoo artist - very talented - in Seattle who covers mastectomy scars. I do not know about areola tattoos, but if you are in the great Northwest or westcoast, you might check her out....

If you want this kind of tattooing to cover your scars from your battle I would encourage you to see her as she is the perfect person to see for this... I am so glad she is helping in this way!!! You all will love her... she is wonderful!!! vinnie
-
You're the best, Vinnie !! Thank you so much for your wonderful work last Wednesday. For the first time since mastectomy, I feel normal and whole....inside and out. Thank you, thank you ! Melody
-
Obx... It was my pleasure... you two were great! Richie says "Hi"...
-
You guys are getting me re-excited to get down to NOLA! Had to cancel my 10/9 appointment with Vinnie because my implants are not working out. Have to figure out what to do surgically and when, before I can make another appointment. Looking forward to Vinnie's tatts got me through the BMX and exchange...now I'm using it to get me through whatever is next! Thanks Vinnie!!
-
I called Vinnies today. There is a four month wait but after reading all these posts the wait is worth it. One question- Anyone have problems with their lymph nodes afterwards? I had 17 nodes removed and am afraid of getting an infection from the tattoo.
-
oxy, carroll..what helped with your choice or was that the plan all along?
-
Dipad, we are on the same schedule--just made a Feb appointment to see Vinnie myself.
I also had 17 nodes removed; never occurred to me to worry about infection. Oh well--I would think the risk would be similar to having it done at the PS office, and this will be a much better result.
-
hey there, so I sent message/email on his site late yesterday and then decided to call today too. I have not heard back from website/email and I called today at about 1:30pm and someone answered the phone and asked if he could call me back in a couple of minutes..that was almost 3 hrs ago..
so am wondering if this is a sign??
-
mamatwins that was my plan from day 1. I did everything I could to get back to looking as normal or better as possible. Not sure if they called you back yet but I would call them bak and see whats going on.
-
Just got a email from Brittney from the Center and she is going to put me on a waiting list for Dec. otherwise he is scheduling into Feb. for NOLA.
