Maryah....Shianne is right, OMG....so much to deal with....sending prayers up for your
grandson....open heart surgery, can't imagine at such a young age, I'm so sorry, and your daughter....sending prayers for her also.....((())) -
Maryah, hugs and prayers for your grandson and daughter!! So glad you're able to help!
I can't wait to meet everyone!! I've never tried choc. jujubes, either. I will have to bring these addicting peanuts from a nut place (Wolfie's) in my hometown of Findlay, Ohio. It's hard to describe, they're coated with this crunchy, savory coating and they are sooooo gooood!
Is anyone else coming in Wed. night? My reservations are for Thurs. (when we thought Michelle was running Friday.)
Love and (((Hugs)))....Sheila

Love peanuts!!!! The Canadian girls will be there Thursday morning. Depending on what time we get on the road lol. I think it's about a 3-4 hour drive from Chicago. Im trying to figure out a way to bring a creation of my DIL she does amazing cakes and pastries etc. just not sure how well they would travel for 4 days. Or if they would even make it to Iowa lol.
-
I booked my room for Wed - Sat so if I get there early, I can just check into the room. If anyone else gets there in the AM, feel free to use my room for the day to wash up, drink, change clothes, drink, eat jujubes, jello shots, pee, etc.
-
love, love peanuts. In fact would be easier to say what I dont love eating. No idea when we get there... all I know is I fly into Hamilton on July 13. Shianne I am like you, cannot wait to meet everyone. So excited about this. Now I remember how I felt when I was a kid at Christmas.
-
We are scheduled to get to Iowa on the Thursday .... We will have so much crap with us ... Jujubes, chocolate, wine ....
-
Marayah, I'm not coming - just lurking here because I'm sooo jealous. Just want to tell you though that my sister developed the rare myastenia gravis, and underwent major surgery while 4 and a half months pregnant with her 2nd child. They could not give her anything for the pain after surgery because of the baby, and she just had to suffer through it. It took time, and my mom had to take care of her baby boy for weeks when he was born months later, but she recovered completely from it to this day. That baby boy is now a strapping, handsome, 6 foot five 21-year old young man . . . hope that makes you feel better. Best wishes to you in all your challenges!

Liefie ~ It does and thank you so much. Ezra, 4 years old, was born with Tricuspid Atresia, so this will be his 3rd open heart surgery to occur sometime this summer. Dr. K is presenting his case to the Pediatric Cardiology Surgical Board within the next two weeks. At first, they thought Nicole's symptoms might be psychological (post partum (Ada was born 10/7/2012, my BMX was on the 16th), working, dealing with Ezra's declining cardiac status and his typical 4 year old energy, and my diagnosis/treatments) since they became more pronounced over the fall and winter.
Most of the tests came back inconclusive to confirm MG, but we're still waiting for the results on one last rare anti-body test. She'll have to have one more MRI (for the possibility of thymus tumors as a cause), but the neurologist started her on medication five days ago as a means to confirm the diagnosis and she fells 100% better and is not up to the full dose.
-
Marayah, you certainly have your plate full at the moment - wow! It is a lot to deal with. Just glad that your daughter is feeling so much better. MG is certainly a rare condition. My sister's upper body was so weak that she could not even comb her hair at some stage, and her arms were basically useless. There is hope, and once the docs determine what to do, she wll be fine. Big hugs to you all!

You ladies are KILLING me!! First of all... I don't drink. Will there be virgin pina coladas served by any chance? And NUTS!! YUM but I have Crohns disease... I'm not allowed any nuts or seeds. (I cheat and eat maybe 10 sometimes but that's it). AND with my diet... chocolate jujubies (I've also never had those)... Shit man, I'm totally FUCKED!
