    I think Craftsman is a style of bungalow...by the way, my favortie house style.  I lived in Seattle for a year and last year made 15 trips to Portland, OR for this damn BC.  Portland wins, hands down, for the quality and quantity of true Craftsman bungalows.  I was in house heaven!  Pasadena, California might be another goldmine of Craftsman houses.  My gf in Portland has a bungalow - steeper roof than ranch, front porch, french doors, wood windows, and I'm sure it has a style name, but not sure what it is....it was considered more of the "servant's quarters" for the giant houses down the street - including giant Craftsmans.

    As I kid, I coveted Ranch homes.  I knew that usually meant flatter ground which would be much better for roller skating and bicycle riding. Laughing  I like your new house-2-be....2 garages are important!! One story even more important!

    Thanks all. I like the house overall. When I was young i hated hip roofs as I felt like the house was frowning but I've adapted. We both wanted a porch, but that was another thing we didn't get. It has a fireplace we hope to convert to gas. One of Hubby's desires was gas heat and we needed a kitchen we could both work in as we like to cook together.

    The house is in Tacoma, and is very convenient to just about everything. It's not my dream house - that was our last one. This is just a good solid little one story home that we van hopefully make comfy. I've already started searching for new kitchen cupboard handles.....

    It's obvious where her brain is.....I'm certain she has been sitting on it and has done irreparable harm.  Of course, she has a number of friends ( TP's types ) that are just like her.  Some of the 'marbles' have rolled away never to be found again. 

    When they don't know what else to do they come rolling God in -- like he would really care.  For all I know you twit, maybe it is not so much the U.S. or Obama or whomever else you and your ilk like to point too.....maybe it is YOU who are being punished. 

    I'm really tired of the political mis-fits....from all sides. 

    GG...I like your house as well.....I think in my area it would be  ( by most anyway ) a ranch but what a large number of people are actually talking about is.....all on one floor. 

    I too like the way the garage is or what I could see.  There is a house here that I really like.  It has a one car garage ( not big enough for us....we have a four car right now ) but the neat thing is.....there is a roof build over the garage and side of the house  so that you have an enclosed parking area......very well covered and you can enter into the house from this huge carport.  So.....even if one of your cars is not in the garage....you still stay dry and comfy.

    Do you suppose Senator Coburn will propose reducing subsidies going to the oil and gas industry or big agriculture in Oklahoma to offset the cost of their tornado recovery?  As IF that would even cross his mind when there are kids and the elderly and the sick and the poor to snatch stuff from instead.

    We bought a bungalow style l920s house when I was in my twenties.  It was a big one and had obviously been built by somebody with money.  A lot of expensive wood trim, floors, 3 sets of french doors, built in nook benches, bookcases and cabinets.  It had been neglected for many years though and we eventually referred to it as the money pit.  I loved it but if I ever get another one like it, it will be after somebody else has done all the fixing up.

    Lunch time here and just watched the news from Oklahoma. We can get little tornadoes which cause damage but nothing like that.

    Crazy, will be in Ontario on September 9th driving up through Niagara and Oakville the next day. Had planned a trip this year so changed it to come to North America. I would love to meet some of my crazy friends for your side of the world. Will PM you.

    We have lit the fire as it is so cold here today.

    Yes, but not as often.  I had quite an episode yesterday morning, but feeling much better today.  Here's how it went.

    Woke up yesterday morning, peed and came down to take my meds. Vision started getting blurry, my left side went totally wonky, my bladder let loose while I was sweating profusely. Well maybe I had a mini stroke or my stimulator is on the fritz. Didn't call 911 cause if its my time, its my time (didn't want to spend my BD in the ER!).

    I still went out for dinner and had a fabulous time.

    There's a recall on some DBS units.....hope mine isn't one of them but would explain a lot!

    BLUE BLUE BLUE do not be stoic about this - as Alexandria said, have it checked out!

    Terrifying to think of the "recalls" of medical implants - friend had to have her hip replaced AGAIN because of recall.  Darn.  Who tests this stuff??

    Speaking of "recalls" - not nearly as serious - but after almost 6 years, my silicone implants feel very, well, constricting, just tired of them - ready to be FLAT ( almost flat now, as requested  very, very, very small, sorta like little poached eggs) and more under my arm than on chest...anyhoooooooo.....wondering if anyone has had silicone implants removed, and is it a big deal?  Can PS do it in office?  Really want my pec muscles back without this weird thiingie underneath....any body know about this procedure?

    I'm feeling much better today.  Ray called my son yesterday (after the episode) and he was over in a flash (he lives 3 minutes away).  By that time, I was just over-heated and he stayed with me until he felt it was ok to leave.  I promise if I feel anything today I will call 911!

    That graphic about the pretend movie is entertaining; however, I really wish that people who make those things up would take care of grammatical niceties and notice the difference between "its" and "it's".  Those sort of errors make me miss the message.

    Gosh, if I miss a couple if days it takes hours to catch up. Blue, I hope you will get your device checked out. Glad you were able to enjoy a nice birthday dinner. I do not envy those of you moving (Pip and GG) but know once it's done it will be worth the effort. Love the house, GG. Wish we had a basement. We downsized 5 years ago and I'm still trying to make do with an attic space after having a whole house basement. At least it's a walk in attic! Jackie, love all your graphics .... Keep them coming!! Wabbit, I often wish the other side would give it back. It drives me crazy that the repugs keep throwing it out, louder and louder, and most of us (especially me) are too dangled polite to give it back. I admire you gals that get into "discussions" and wish I had the confidence to do the same!! Enjoyous - are you able to ride yet? Lawyerboss will be a horse person soon. How could he be around Sampson and not become a horse person?? Sun, I waited over 10 years before reconstruction but often wonder why I just didn't go flat. I had the tummy tuck recon and loved having a flat tummy but unfortunately it didn't stay flat. I'm sure someone will have answers for you. I'm heading for Austin, tx tomorrow. Annual girlfriends weekend with friends from my days in manhattan, ks. We meet somewhere every memorial weekend. Lots of wine, laughter, reminiscing and catching up with women I've known for 37 years. I'll try not to fall too far behind while I'm away. Btw, I love the block feature but admit I am sometimes curious as to what is being directed at my friends here. Not curious enough to unblock, however!! Chemo day for me. Have Imodium, will travel!!

    thanks river rat - off to read...they have beome more an annoyance than they are cosmetically useful!  Think I needed them after BLM - but no more...just LOVE LOVE not having to wear a bra - but genuinely feel I'll feel better with them OUT, OUT, OUT, damn spot...

    Sun - I am completely flat.  Never did recon.  It's a very individual choice, but I'm physically comfortable and comfortable with my appearance.  It's the rare person who notices - only my gay male friend of 30 years - other than that, people just don't notice.  There's a number of threads on being flat and fabulous.

    Alexandria - I am not concerned at all about the "cosmetics" - think it would have been too much of a shock after BLM to go from how large I was to nothing.  PS was marvelous about following my wishes and I am VERY small, never wear a bra, but I had a wide rib cage, there is little projection and more under my arm on one side LOL - so just so TIRED TIRED TIRED of noticing these thingies under my muscle...down ward facing dog has never been the same Frown

    SO - I posted on the Forum river rat linked me to - my BIGGIE question -  is it easy to remove them?  Expect cuz they are getting so uncomfortable, it will be covered by my insurance as I had bc - how can someone who has so much darn sugery be worried about this - well, Ye Olde Final Straw - wanna be DONE DONE DONE with surgery.

    BTW - to all with inflammed lungs after Flu, bronchitis, this steroid inhaler is working wonders - forgot how much I like breathingLaughing without coughing...

    We're getting thunder boomers - and it's steamy summer warm - still thinking about the people in Moore OK, and how does one starat over after that kind of an experience...THANK the gods & goddesses for FEMA.  Always think of our Chickadee when I think of FEMA nowSmile
