Jackie, I am too. I recently downloaded a meditation series of his onto my Kindle. They are wonderful!
-
Another huge favorite of mine -- I have many.

Has anyone read "The Return of Merlin". Chopra at his best!

Athena, dear lioness, I hope you are safely ensconced in your den and licking your wounds. We've missed you.
"dipshidiot"--what a great word! I'm going to try to use it 3 times today to firmly ingrain it in my vocabulary. It's not as vulgar as the one I usually use when I yell at certain politicians on the news.

OMG a chocolate kitty ... adorable!
Got thunder and rain here. Jake dog is scared of booming noises. He is currently impersonating a growth on my leg.
-
My beautiful German shepherds were beautiful, fierce dogs, who were terrified of thunder. I had four of them over a period of 30 years. I remember being on bedrest and sleeping on the pull out couch downstairs (21 years ago) when it started thundering. I woke and found a German shepherd on either side of me, quaking with fear.
My dogs are all gone now, but every time it thunders - I remember them.
-
I love the cat too. None of my dogs are upset with thunder, but I have so many I'm amazed. We did have a yellow Lab --- her name was Yiddy visit us often and she really freaked when the thunder came. She would scoot in so quick....and we were not supposed to let her in. Orders from her parents, but she dug her feet in and there was no way you could budge her as long as the weather was loud outside. I really felt for her. She was left outside a lot and would come to our house knowing we were almost always home.

Sunflowers - thank you for sending the link about people signing up for ACA (Obamacare). We are planning on using Cobra when I retire to cover our medical until we reach medicare age, and am soooo thankful. Before Obamacare (and after breast cancer) I would have NEVER been able to get insurance had I chosen to make a move away from my current employer.
I do NOT understand the antipathy on the part of most Repubs for Obamacare. I think they don't actually look into it, but simply hear other members of their conservative group pan it, so they jump on the wagon. I mean really... I can somewhat understand people not wanting to be forced to buy insurance - but the truth is that those people are already costing the taxpayer dearly. Exactly who is it that they think pays for people who go to the emergency room (the most expensive health care there is) and cannot pay? It's us. Which really is less expensive? (Since it always seems to be about cost, not care) Paying for someone who has had ZERO preventive care (because they couldn't afford to go to the doctor until it was REALLY REALLY OBVIOUS that something was wrong - and then the only place they could get help is the local emergency room) or helping pay for insurance so they can get preventive care. It seems like a no-brainer - and since this was originally a GOP plan, it also apparently seemed like a no-brainer to the GOP as well - until, of course, Obama liked it...

The Daily Show did another great spot on this. The Fox news reporters kept saying "if" this happened and "if" they did this...still all in their own minds.
