Sad but true, Blue.

When they've milked Bengazi for all it's worth and more, the next great charge will be that Hilliary built a time machine and went back in time and killed Lincoln, and blamed it on John Wilkes Booth, an early teaparty member. Just to give a wing of the GOP a bad rep!
-
Speaking of Hilary:

-
So why wasn't Shrub impeached for not being prepared on 9-11? Or lying about WMD in Iraq? Or exposing the identity of a covert operative? Or employing torture? Or wiretapping without court authorization. Or ... oh hell, I don't have all night.
-
Chaplain, did you hear it on FOX? Wonder who leaked it.

-
Ain't giving away my sources, but I would die a thousand times before I exposed my delicate self to Faux noos!
-
Jackie - absolutely laughed out loud at the parking ticket pic - good one.

Hey, Chick, you and I may have some serious jousting to do. I will make all eyes I can at NED.
You pridemates are better than any med, and word - that's a LOT. Where would I be without you.
Ann: Luckily I have superb psychiatrists and oncologists working closely on the TAM issue.
Not yet as active or energetic as I'd like. This damned neck brace is chocking me, and my natural reticence to take narcotics is keeping me in pain. I am going back on then and sleeping without the neck brace. No need to play the hero.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all cub owners:

-
Good morning, so nice to see Our Lioness is awake b4 me. DO BE CAREFUL of Tamoxifen, it was the "psychological" SE's I was afraid of, actually relieved, when refusing, paws in the ground, to change my antidepressant to take it, I was started on Arimidex. MUCH rather do the workarounds needed to avoid physical pain - than suject my carefully balanced emotional/psychological life to the unknown SE's of T.
So - if you have the option - couldn't you do Lupron, or surgically change, so you could use an AI. Just thinkin...
Jackie - some of the BEST postings - I missed tham last night, early to bed as usual - and listened to the RAIN, oh, joy, RAIN, everything is turing g-r-e-e-n, 'cept lilacs which are, well, lilac.
So good to have Lioness back in lair....
-
It's Mothers Day here too - roast lamb for dinner - yummy.
Athena - thinking of you - sending big hugs across the seas.
Bad news for me today - a friend's son has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. He's 30 and works for the same company I do. Holy F$%k - why does this sort of thing happen? We have given them the names of a couple of oncologists - one of which pioneered bone marrow transplants here. Hopefully he will get the best doctors - at the moment he is in a public ward at the main hospital here, but he also has the choice of using his private health insurance and choosing his own doctor. This was so sudden - serious pains in the stomach on Friday morning - and bamm. Makes all of our imagined troubles look like nothing.
-
Oh, Suzie, what awful news.
Sunny - my Tamoxifen tale is almost comical it's so pathetic.
I tried to kill myself partly because of its effects. In following mental health support group protocol I will not say how I made the attempt. But my liver was seriously impacted - and successfully treated. Now I have liver mets. Big twit. I wonder if one led to the other (though I know of no evidence to back this up).
Lesson: if you're going to kill yourself, either get it right or don't try at all. My situation was unusual in that I was acting while in a manic state, not a depressed one, so the entire action was more of an impulsive psychotic act than a frank attempt. Also, Lupron may have played a huge part, as may the psych meds I was on at the time.
Still, TAM it is, everyone is in the know, docs know what to watch for, and I am premenopausal anyway. Nothing for it but to make the best of a rotten situation - but with love and concern and professionalism, much changes.

"Lesson: if you're going to kill yourself, either get it right or don't try at all."
Lioness, I know it is no laughing matter at all, but I confess to giggling anyway. We hung with an old delta force guy some years back, who explained that defenestration is only reliable if you are 6 floors up. It became a standard joke that if we were only on the 2nd floor, we would have to throw unwanted people out the window 3 times, etc.
The beloved of a friend of mine died during a manic state. He thought he could fly. He couldn't.
-
Suzie so sorry about your friend's son. If they put one quarter the money into beating cancer that they put into the Iraq wars, maybe we could kick cancer's butt once and for all. Find the genetic switch and turn it off. That's what I'm hoping will happen - for all my friends here, for everyone suffering.
Athena - glad that you failed.

Beautiful if cool morning here but we will have sun today. Will enable us to be able to cook some rib-eyes on the deck.
Watched my favorite morning show this a.m. though I so miss Tim Russert. He was perfect as host of the show. David Gregory is just ok to me. Doesn't have that Russert style -- perception not as sharp to me or something.
Anyway...a lot about Benghazi. Those ( mainly Repugs ) who want it to stand that there was a cover-up get to see that..while for those who knew there wasn't have not been shown otherwise. JMO, but the fear-mongering obstructionists are still ruining themselves and their party and not much else. Same buffoonery, different day, a couple of different characters. It truly is time to move on.....the mileage on that one was over some time back.

Athena...sounds like you will have careful monitoring with your Tamoxifen. I have no idea as in reality I actually haven't talked to much of anyone who has taken it.....for all the people on these boards. The only person ( one of my best friends Chevy ) had to stop as it caused her to lose her hearing -- 100% total in one ear..50% in the other. What you have to do to try and save yourself.
On the Arimidex I use, I have to watch moods and talk myself out of my almost instant anger some times. It is not fun at all. Thankful that this November will be 5 yrs. and a decision will be made at that point whether to continue or switch to something else or do nothing. When we get closer. Anyway, I'm very aware that some of these drugs can wreak a little mental havoc on you and am glad that you and those administering your drug help will be on the look-out.
Suzie...sorry to hear about your friend's son. At times I am still amazed at how FEW people had cancer before I found out I had it, and how many are turning up now. Also, how many times I'm hearing about lymphomas and other types.
Even though we are sunny.....rain will come later in the week. We have a metal roof ( lasts longer for sure ) on our house and I am looking forward to being able to hear the patter of rain again. It is calming and soothing and can be a real sleep inducer. Unlike many -- I have mainly always been able to sleep and so credit my success with much of my health to being able to sleep soundly and heal which is so much of what sleep is about for people.
I do hope all of you are having sun today.

Suzie - my friend's son had/has ALL. He's looking like a survivor, though he had to get a BMT from his sister. This November, 2013, it will be 2 years since his BMT. He looks great. He is not a child, but was dx'd at 19. For some reason, ALL is easier to cure for those under 18, but my friend's son is doing great. The good part, compared to BC, there are not 100 different mutations causing it, so targeting is easier. The treatment is rough though and requires a lot of time being hospitalized. One of the bright spots for him is that he got his sister's non-allergy profile.
There is hope for your friend's son.Ironically, this is a child I saw being born and while we lived 100 miles apart, initially we both ended up at the same oncologist, dx'd only months apart, without knowing. He was quickly transfered to Standford University by my MO.
Athena - I can't express how good it feels to see you back posting and I'm so impressed with your attitude, resolve and candor. Your presence was greatly missed. All of you women who face these cancer challenges impress me!

May 11, 2013Fox: New Evidence Hillary Killed Lincoln
Posted by Andy Borowitz- More

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In what may be the most serious allegation ever made against the former Secretary of State, Fox News Channel reported today that Hillary Clinton was involved in the conspiracy to murder President Abraham Lincoln.
The latest charge against Mrs. Clinton was reported by Fox host Sean Hannity, who said that the evidence of her role in the Lincoln assassination came mainly in the form of e-mails.
According to Mr. Hannity, “If it’s true that Hillary Clinton killed Lincoln, this could have a major impact on her chances in 2016.”
The accusation against Mrs. Clinton drew a strong response from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R.—S. Carolina): “There’s been a concerted effort by Hillary Clinton to cover up her role in President Lincoln’s murder. She has said nothing about it. This is bigger than Watergate, the Cuban missile crisis, and the Second World War put together.”
Responding to the allegation, Mrs. Clinton issued a terse statement indicating that she could not have participated in Lincoln’s assassination because she was born in 1947.
“That’s what she wants us to believe,” Sen. Graham said.
