Thinking Out Loud.....

Oh Sandy - sorry it was so tough this time. You are quite the fighter, girl!
Based on our comments here about our Easter color choices, there perhaps should be a study on whether breast cancer increases your desire to wear black. Hehehe!
Last night when we got back, I was exhausted - lined out my various meds and missed one which I didn't know till I took it about 20 minutes ago. It was a sleeping pill. My day is now shot - I will be out like a light shortly, I bet.
-
Checking in with all of you....better today, now I know what the 3rd week will be.....Easter was awesome, wonderful family and dinner, what about you?
-
That's awesome Meece!!!
LOL Diane, sweet dreams!!
I'm here Sandy, I feel like I took a sleeping pill. Easter knocked me out. Hope you are feeling better.
Sheila???
-
I'm awake now - where is everyone?
-
I'm just checking in before bed. Have a good night. Hope I can get some sleep. 2 hrs last night. Terrible joint pain from tamoxifen all night. Much better today so maybe? Night night.
-
lol, Diane, that was early! WHat time did you get up?? It's going to be a long day for you.
Going to get my MRI now. Fun continues.
Feel better CHabba!
-
I forgot to take my sleeping pill last night and was awake off and on all night long, and by 4 am I was done trying to sleep.
Work was fine yesterday, but the elementary schools gave their kids Monday off, and the staff said they were low on High School attendance because the older siblings were most likely home babysitting. I sent 4 kids home sick and had three new enrollements to check immunizations on and that was the extent of the 'work'. I re-wrote the procedures for a substitute in that position because I couldn't stand the gramatical and spelling errors on the paper the FT employee left for me.
Today I train at a different High School. I had to turn down a different assignment which would have been all week long. But I will be more desireable once I know the different positions.
Sandy, please take it easy.
Hope everyone has a good day. It seems like the boards are quiet lately, anyone else notice this?

Good Morning (((TOL)))

Good Morning!
Meece - you are right - it is quieter. Maybe we are all at doctor appts, job trainings, or something....:)
We have had the same bedding for about six years. Yesterday, in my stupor, I switched the bedding to something I found at the Macy's sale. How can men not notice such things? I mean it is vastly different.
Time to get moving - I have a lot to make up for after yesterday's lost day.....
-
Thanks did....did more this morning than I have done in a long time....thanks Meece, love that you are doing that job, getting you out of hte house....
Hi Diane...Linda....Shiela...
Someone I went to chemo with and we sat next to each other to talk died and the service at gravesite is tomorrow...hate it.....
same bedding, meaning same colors?
Working tomorrow night, magical training (personally I think I am magical enough, been trained 3 times already) thursday and told boss that I would or could work saturday for some hours just not 145 - 830.....love this week off and am watching...in bed all day on puter and going to make a turkey sandwhich in a few, how is everybody?
-
Hi everyone!
-
Hi, been falling asleep each night...maybe too much chocolate?
Glad to hear Easter went well...I had my entire family together except for my son in CA. We didn't plan it...they just all came to NJ. It was fun...
Sandy, so glad you were feeling better and that your Easter dinner went well. And here's to your week off....but so sad about your friend.
I tried so hard to break the black habit...and after grabbing yellow, salmon, and bright green off the racks, I ended up with a black and white top...wore it with tan pants and light gold quilted jacket. It was a step in the right direction...
My house is filled with candy and leftover desserts. It is hard to deal with...
I am sitting at work and catching up on BCO when I could have left an hour ago. I have errands, then a few hours home before DH gets there...one of my few quiet nights.(((TOL)))
-
Sorry about your friend Sandy
Sheila......................are you OK??
-
6:05 pm.....
Making turkey burgers and rice
-
you sound thrilled!!!!!
-
Hi Linda and everyone else, thanks
-
Sandy - I changed from multi-color to gray - very obvious change. Sorry about your friend.
Sheila - I made turkey burgers last night! No rice.
Very sorry about Valjeans friend too. Sometimes you just can't understand the why...
Cooking up some sweet potatoes, peas, and grilled pork tenderloin....got to go...
-
When is this going to end, we just lost 2 chat room sisters, (Jill McCormick), luvmyself and (Anna Daly) Mazy, so sad.
-
I hope the CD47 - one drug to rule them all - study works so we can stop losing people to cancer... I thought someone posted that study on here a few days ago, but I can't find it now. (((((((sisters)))))))
Glad you are getting training, Meece - hope this job ends up being the perfect job.
Sandy - you ARE magical! lol Hope they give you just the few hrs you want for Saturday.
Sorry your sleep got messed up, Diane - hope you are back on track now. It is amazing how men don't notice anything.
Glad it worked out that you could all get together, Joan.
Hope you got some sleep, Chabba.
And that you have recovered from Easter, Linda.
Sheila - you are quiet - hope you are okay.
Well, after I got 4 1/2 hrs sleep the night before last because I stayed up late to try to finish training modules I needed to do before class yesterday (and finished with not a moment to spare before I had to leave for class!), I thought I would catch up with some extra sleep this morning. Well, no such luck. DD couldn't find her calculator that she needed for her exam she was running late for this morning(thinks she left it at Panera's). She had been studying last night with a different one she is not allowed to use for the exam so she didn't realize the one she needed was missing. So I started searching for DS's in his room, but of course there is stuff all over and I couldn't find it. (Not to mention I couldn't see well because my eyes were fuzzy from sleeping and the freaking energy efficient light bulb takes forever to light up!) I gave her a couple very basic ones - so at least she could do calculations, but she needed the log function for some reason (don't remember doing logs in general chemistry...not going up into the attic to try to find my notes...lol) Luckily, I called "D"H to bitch to him about how living like pigs has caused yet another problem - he was able to run to CVS and buy a scientific calculator and intercept DD and give it to her(he works near her campus and hadn't made it into the building yet so he could go back to his car quickly). See - bitching can come in handy - if I hadn't wanted to bitch at him, I might not have called him. I think there must have been some divine intervention here for that to have worked out.
And I was doing the modules at the last minute because I spent the time on Monday that I was going to use to do my online training stressing and making calls to try to find out if DD is now going to have a problem transferring to the main campus after dropping calculus. (You have to be "on track" for your major to change campuses early. Didn't know if dropping calc would put her off track - she's a bio major) She had just dropped calculus Monday morning- on the last possible day - and I went online with her to register her to take it at the community college this summer when I realized she would not be able to because Calc I is a prerequisite and she didn't pass it with a high enough grade to satisfy the prerequisite! And her advisor told her she could take it there! Stupid advisors. She should have known about the prerequisite. I told DD - this is why I don't trust what people say. You rely on them to do their jobs and they give you bad info and mess up your life. So I think she's ok to go to the main campus, but I don't know what she should do about taking calculus. Retake Calc I at the community college this summer(since she didn't really learn it the first time and get her bad grade off her transcript) and then take Calc II next summer? Would be nice if she could ever get a summer job... Calculus sucks.
Oh - and after I barely finished the training module and was in a rush to shower and get to training class, I tripped the breaker drying my hair (DD was drying her hair at the same time - duh.) So I was running around the house half dressed, yelling about how I DID NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS, trying to find the plug with the GFI thing to see if I could reset it - didn't work - then I had to find the extension cord I had at my dresser so I could use the mirror to curl my hair...Then I had to get gas and get to training...Somehow, I made it with time to spare... Hmmm...divine intervention again?
I misspelled training - draining. Yep - that's what this week has been...
((((((TOL))))))

Chris - I love the way you write about your life. You have humor and perspective writing about what is real for many of us - life and families are imperfect. I think you have a special gift

Leaving for Chicago tomorrow at 8.
Thought I was not going to make it....spent 3days in the hospital after thinking I had appendicitis, and after a ct-scan was told Ihad a mass in my colon.........even the radiologist did not like what he saw..........after another colonoscopy (had one 3years ago) it was a severe infection, with ulceration that caused bleeding. On medicine...stomach still sore and painful, but feel certain I will stop thinking about that once I walk through the airport doors.
I got Ativan, but a SE in the elderly is the opposite of calm........my age group can get aggressive, hallucinate, and it increases your "sex drive"...........watch your late news if you hear about an old lady raping the pilot on SW Airlines.....it's me.........hugs -
LOL Ducky!! So sorry to hear about your infection!!! OUCH!!! That should keep your mind off of things. Best of luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you, and the poor (or lucky) pilot!! Love Ativan! enjoy!
-
Ducky - sorry about infection but very proud of you for facing your fear. Good luck tomorrow! Let us know how you did
Hope the pilot is hot, hot, hot....
