That's awesome Meece!!
Sunny here too........finally!!!
-
Good for you Meece!
Easter - we are heading up to the cabin with some friends. Going to do lamb chops on the grill with a persillade (parsley, lemon zest, panko). It's one of my favorite recipes.
We have been without a sofa in the family room since we moved in and today, it finally arrived. Love it. Room and Board is great and everything we have purchased is made in USA which we try to do.
Counting down to April 8 when I hold my girl again - love hearing her say my name
-
Congrats!! Now sit your ass down!
-
That is great, Diane. I am counting down days, too. I will have my little Patch in just two weeks from tomorrow! Life is exciting.
-
enjoy Rain..
Going to my SIL's sister's for dinner on Saturday....they do Saturday so everyone can do their own thing with in-laws on Easter....nice idea......I use to go to my in-laws years ago, but when my family got to big 6 kids, we stopped getting invited, yet my MIL would invite the rest of her kids cause they ad 1 or no kids.......my husband cared, I didn't....
So started my own thing, and did it for years , t;hen got tired of asking and hearing either "'nothing, and had to keep asking"....or....it would be "oh I'm not sure if I ate with you last Easter....I will have to check"........so I said "enough of this shit..........guess who isn't cooking holidays anymore...........ME...........I do xmas eve,and that is it......and it is huge......I usually go with my youngest daughter..........I'm sure that makes everyone else perfectly happy........
Then Thursday the 4th of April, on the plane, and off to Chicago............I am so friggin scared, it is not funny........yesterday I got a text from my comedian oldest son.........it went like "Hey Mom, how are you........getting close huh........just wanted you to see the weather for the day you fly out from Philly"............big f/n picture of the forecast for April 4th...........windy, rain, and snow showers.............then a .....lol, lol, lol................the last thing he said was.......Hey girlfriend, your gonna do great........gonna kill the bastard.............
Now I have to figure out how to pack' 'the friggin clothes, so I don't look like I slept in the for 2 days before the wedding...............I have a question ......HAVE YOU EVER TRIED SHOVING 15lbs OF SHIT, INTO A 2lb BAG...............ok, I'm done bitching........ -
YOU CAN DO IT DUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soccer at 6, I want to nap instead. lol!
-
Meece & Diane....what a good happy April you will have......seeing your cutie pies.... soon welcoming the new ones.......Hugs....♥
ducky....Just think this way you survived the latest scare with your daughter...take the flying as a celebration......Why you have to squeeze everything in a small bag.....Are you only bringing carry on
That's almost impossible ....just the stupid little things can fit there.........
Linda.....I was in and out today....spring was here......did wash....walked and walked
finally i'm home ready for my leftover chicken and will make some broccoli.........
-
At this time, 6 years ago today, I got the call from my BS, "You Have Breast Cancer."
-
checking in before I go to bed....chemo well of course the port would not cooperate an they had to get the blood out of my hand.....off next week, he gave me more anti nausea medicaiton cause what he is giving me with chemo is not working...so have to take the compazine and zofran together....
have a good night off to get beauty sleep and more.....bbl if I wake up from the steroids and can't go to sleep...3luv you guys...
Shiela is isn't about the hair cut, it is about a grandmother taking it upon herself to cut the GD hair without consulting the parents and then thinking and saying it all over FB along with others that too bad, deal with it........they find nothing wrong with and now they are threatening my daughter Jamie and myself.....grow up, how old are you.....really!!
-
Sheila......;I have the Vera Bradley largest duffle bag.......I don't own a piece of luggage....if I go to the shore I take my shit in a plastic bag from Acme...lol.,the leave it all down there, and bring it home at the end of the season...........everyone says "don't use your Vera Bradley, you will get sick when you see what they do to it......so it would go in the overhead........its ridiculous.........oh well.................
-
Ducky...Just make sure you don't have any liquids over 3oz......including shampoo or make up
Deb...Happy Celebration my friend....♥
Sandy....Just take care of yourself...you come first.....
Good Night Ladies......Tea and Survivor time.....
-
-
Deb ~ Congratulations on your 'versary date!! Six years, how wonderful!!
Diane ~ Meecie ~~ To hold those little ones again very soon........ such precious moments.
-
Deb...6 years...happy celebrating!
Sandy, hope you are sleeping OK...don't see you here so maybe....so glad you have next week off.
Ducky, am so glad to see DD gets a good report. One good thing about flying is that once you are up the sun is almost always shining...you will do fine. Sure you can't borrow a suitcase? It takes a lot of discipline to use just the carry on!
Sheila, I love my progressive lenses - can see distance and read anything...I just don't like that fact that I need them.
Easter plans - going to DD's in NJ with DD's families from CT and DC. My son from Chicago will be here...we will have a crowd. It will be fun for the kids...yard is a playground and SIL always sets up bouncy house.
So happy for you, Diane, Meece, Val, to be seeing the grandkids.
Today I went to CT to grandson's class to teach about rocks. The kids were great until the end when I gave them free time to play with the stuff I brought...it got wild. I think the teacher was glad to see the day end. It was fun, but exhausting! I did one of those volcanos with vinegar and baking soda. I was going to sleep over but DD told me kids were going to their dad' and she had a date....so, back on the ferry and got home at 9:00 pm.
Linda, hope you are feeling better...great that you are keeping up with the gym.
Time for sleep...........
J
Sheila, loved the dining pit on the beach! -
Congrats Deb...
Yay joan have a wonderful time, excellent...
Hope all of you are well....and yep I am up been up since 1030, it is now 341, it is ok, nothing to do but get some food in here, or rather George needs food....Easter, nothing problably, 2 kids are still in Florida will be home but tired I am sure, not sure what the others are doing....
HUGS TO ALL THAT AREN'T HERE!!!

My DS played in a soccer game last night. With 2 seconds left, he tried to score, collided with another kid and went down HARD on his ankle. Swollen, bruised, can't wait or put any pressure on it. Woudn't go to ER because he has MCAS tests today. (A mass test all students must take and pass in order to get promoted) DS calls MCAS Mass hild Abuse SYsytem. lol
I just dropped him off at school with crutches. SPoke to Nurse who will watch him. Gotta call his Dr today and get him seen. Bummer!
Easter plans sounds great. Hope you all enjoy!
-
Oh, Linda, so sorry! It's frustrating when kids can't miss these tests even when there is a very reasonable reason to.
-
Thanks Meece. Off to Doctors at 1 to see whats going on. Send some heat my way!
-
OMG Linda it is always something with these kids, the twins used to take turns breaking stuff and we were on a first name basis with the place....they knew it wasn't me...hopefully it will be ok, and the season just started righ...
Hi peeps, how is everyone?
-
This is the time when the 2 seasons over lap until the end of April. SO we have soccer on Tues practice, Wed night games, thurs practice and sat games.
Hope you got some more sleep Sandy. I saw that you were having sleeping problems still. Did you talk to a doctor?
-
Linda....What a shame.....I hope he'll be better soon........hugs
Good morning TOL.......
i need to find myself..........
♥
-
Where did you go?? LOL!
-
-
That is just the pits Linda - hope it is quickly taken care of.
Sheila - I know where you are.
-
Hope it is nothing serious Linda.
-
Ouch - sounds painful, Linda - hope it will heal up soon. And I hope it doesn't hurt so much that it affects his test. I don't envy you their soccer schedule...I'm glad I'm not still doing all that running around. I give you a lot of credit. My father played soccer for UMass -he was always spraining (or breaking) his ankle(s). At one point, I don't remember the circumstances, a guy drew a caricature of my father. He had one ankle bandaged up, crutches, a tennis racket under his arm(he played tennis too), a soccer ball bouncing by, and a collar on his neck with a leash with a small drawing of my mother...and a sign nearby that said "to The Drake" - which was a bar, I think, (that my parents frequented - lol) that has closed around the time my cousin was going to school there.
Ducky - glad you got good news on DD. lol - weather forecast for day you are flying- I like to make fun of the things that scare me - makes them less scary. Hope the weather is calm that day for you. ((((((HUGS)))))))
Deb - congrats on 6 years!
Joan - glad you finally got to do your presentation - you're a great mom and grandma.
Diane - I can't believe that woman said that! (I usually refer to an adult female as " a lady," but she certainly doesn't deserve to be referred to as that.)
Diane and Meece - so happy for you both to be seeing your grandbabies soon!
Sheila - did you get your new glasses yet? I don't like the on and off of reading glasses - I sometimes think wearing them all the time would be easier - but when I wear my 3/$2.99 Ocean State Job Lot reading glasses for any length of time, the skin on the side of my nose itches. My body is too sensitive.
Sandy - sorry the port is giving you problems and that you couldn't work. And aren't sleeping. I'm not sleeping either - too stressed from work and have had headaches/migraines. I couldn't tell if I couldn't sleep last night because of the headache or if I got the headache from not sleeping... Not working again 'til Monday (though I do have a LOT of online training to do) - so hopefully I will be able to sleep. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do this job.
So...DD did not do well on her quiz on Monday - which I guess makes it easier to decide to drop the class. So now she will take it at the community college this summer (assuming it isn't full already) - but the class starts before we would be going to NY with my parents. So I told them she could go up Sat-Tues but then she would have to go home. My mother then remembered that she didn't want to go(when I called to tell him(them) that I got time off to go, she said she didn't want to go, but never told my father - or she told him and he made reservations anyway, hoping she would change her mind by then.) So he said he was going to call to cancel. So now we aren't going at all unless we go the 1st week of August between when DD finishes class and needs to go to band preseason. But I'm not sure that the cabins will be available that week by the time my mother decides she wants to go. Ugh. I feel so bad for my father. Well, maybe the kids can go fishing with him a few times locally over the summer instead. DS was disappointed to hear we aren't going. Usually "D"H and DD go fishing with my father at 5:30 am (blah) and DS doesn't want to go. He said he wanted to go this year...guess he decided too late. I hope we can go in August.
((((((TOL))))))

What an aswesome picture of your father Chris! That could be my son! My schedule Chris?? I am exhausted reading yours!
It's not broken, a level 3 sprain which is the worst. Still can't walk. Using crutches. Of course he wants to know if he can hang out at the Stadium tonight. lol
Thanks everyone, for your concern.
-
Sorry sorry sorry for all you young mothers whose children are injured or didn't do well.......♥
-
