Loving the big litty pics!
-
-
Jackie - congratulations.
Blue - I love the gucci dresses - my favorite colours all together, especially the purpley magenta fur collar, thanks Athena.
Pictures - I love them all - and ADORE one of the first of the little bitty dog resting in someone's hand, so that was so, so sweet.
I am still coughing, not all day, but enough to sound like a rasping frog when I try to talk - tired, seems the same as everyone who has had this - and we ALL had our flu shots. Guess about a week more for me...
going to br 50 tomorrow, PLEASE let all the snw melt, oh, it is SO time for Mud Season...

Enjoyful, looked up a gypsy vanner

Speaking of gorgeous, I came across an INXS concert on youtube. Damn! That Hutchence boy was very sexy.
-
Jackie,
This thread moves so fast, I missed your news yesterday. Congrats on becoming a great-grandma! I hope you get to meet him/her soon!
-
Momine, that's a name from the past....you have piqued my curiousity. Will go to Youtube when I can.
-

Awwwww

-
Will delete soon so as not to offend convention.
ETA: Done (for latecomers, it was essentialy an "I hate little loud humans" rant :- )
-
Dinner time, and I am thinking of Brussels sprouts.
-
I'm thinking lobotomy!
-
I, OTOH, am enjoying the quiet peace of blue lines. There is nothing in those blue lines that is interesting at all.
I might have Peeps for dinner. I wonder if the package is ripe yet?
L -
HL, the blue lines are peaceful.

Athena, was reading about the latest Adam Lanza news earlier today, too. So many things struck me and one in particular, in the list of what police found, was:
"A holiday card with a check made out to Adam from Nancy Lanza to buy a C183 (firearm)"
-
Funny stuff!
"2013 March to Madness Insane 16: #1 Rush Limbaugh vs. #5 Glenn Beck"
"It's finally here: the third round of the 2013 Daily Kos Republican March to Madness Tournament, aka The Insane 16. This round features eight epic battles as we crown the craziest Republican of them all and we're going to start off in the right-wing Media Region with one of the fiercest contests yet: #1 seed Rush Limbaugh vs. #5 seed Glenn Beck."
-
I may have put this in once before, but probably bears repeating.

-
I hope this will show up and work:
Hey everybody --
This morning, President Obama talked about the tragedy in Newtown, which happened 104 days ago, and brought a room to silence with a simple point:
"The entire country was shocked," he said. "And the entire country pledged we would do something about it and that this time would be different. Shame on us if we've forgotten. I haven't forgotten those kids. Shame on us if we've forgotten."
He was in the East Room, standing with a group of mothers who have lost children to gun violence. He was pushing Congress to act on common-sense steps to help protect our kids by reducing that kind of violence. Measures like eliminating background check loopholes that an overwhelming majority of Americans support.
"Right now, 90 percent of Americans -- 90 percent -- support background checks that will keep criminals and people who have been found to be a danger to themselves or others from buying a gun. More than 80 percent of Republicans agree. More than 80 percent of gun owners agree. Think about that. How often do 90 percent of Americans agree on anything?"

HL - you are too funny. Was thinking the same. Blue lines = peace.
Blue - thank you - I was trying to remember what our word was, we code-speaking secret thread, strange gangsters!
Bartender - what is your special for the night?
-
-
I think it might be a very dry martini with just one tiny brussels sprout for garnish.
-
Oooh, Belinda - peep in hot chocolate looks goooood! I never thought of that! I'm so conventional!
I think I will let the peeps ripen a little longer. I just ate a Russell Stover chocolate covered coconut nest for dinner instead. With a 16-oz glass of milk. I had a big lunch, so it isn't as bad as it might sound.
Jackie, I forgot to congratulate you on your first great-!

-
Oh Belinda - THANK YOU!
-
Busy day - vacc'd all of the floors. I have to fly to my daughter on Sunday - emergency - she broke her shoulder riding her bike and now her DH has been hospitalised (mental issues). She can't manage the baby by herself. Work was fantastic - I can use my sick leave. It's called personal/carer leave and applies to immediate family members you may need to care for. So, Poppy and Steve will be all alone for 8 days.
I've decided to stop taking krill oil - sudden eye haemorrhage and 2 big bruises on one leg - I remember scratching one spot yesterday (I'd been bitten by something) and now there is a huge nasty bruise. I take an anti inflammatary, so I think the combination of the 2 is making my blood way too thin. Can't get to see the doc being Easter, so stopping Krill oil is the best I can do for now. I'll book in when I get home and get him to do a blood test. -
Suzie, sorry to hear about your daughter and son-in-law. Safe journey. Glad you're able to get the time away from work to help care for your grandbaby.
-
Sandy - great cocktail idea!
Suzie, so sorry to hear about your daughter's situation. Bad things always seem to converge. Grrr!
-
Thanks Belinda and Athena - we always thought he had behavioural issues after that Xmas when he freaked out because I answered the phone during lunch. His mother and sister are both mental patients, so we're not surprised. Strange it took so long to manifest itself though. He's recently been put on medication but it appears he had stopped taking it. I am so lucky to work for such a wonderful company. I haven't got any annual leave left and I only have 3 days special leave left, so being able to use my sick leave is fantastic. We can't afford for me to lose a week's pay. I was also lucky to get flights at this time fo year for a price that was normal. I guess no one flys on Easter Sunday. I'm not coming back until Monday 8th April as it is also school holidays and the 7th was too expensive.
-
For some people mental health problems can worsen with age and/or also if they don't have consistent/correct treatment. I hope this leads to better care for him.
-

Stellar....I think we are not your kind of crazy. We are all getting along here and if that bothers you then my suggestion would be to just not come over here and read. You will not be changing us as we were happy before you got here and will continue on that way. Please don't waste your time and ours.
Jackie
