Whoopie Goldberg is one of my favorite people, period!
Ok, Chick, get ready for more featherless chic:
The same Gucci show featured this:

-
In fact, some of the most chic looks over the decades have not shown hair. Here is a retrospective:

Princess Caroline, who is my fashion hero, had alopecia and was forced to wear head scarves for months:

But she, too, was beautiful with or without hair:

Turban chic:

Sophia Loren:

And we could go on....

Athena, I had a hat like the Gucci one during chemo. It was a cheap version from Zara, also blue. It always cheered me. I had a small, blue turban-type thingy that I wore under the hat. I also had a huge, blue again, diva hat of straw for the summertime. Lots of people had no clue that I wore it because of chemo.

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week.Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor’s office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn’t have any time to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn’t going to be able to make the full effort.
So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment.
I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I’m sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away.
I was a little surprised when the doctor said, “My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven’t we?” I didn’t respond.
After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day was normal .. Some shopping, cleaning, cooking. After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out from the bathroom, “Mommy, where’s my washcloth?”
I told her to get another one from the cupboard.
She replied, “No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it.”
Never going back to that doctor again……….. never.

Blue, I don't know how many times that's happened to me.

"Hey Steve King: In the Name of Christ, Lay Off Malia and Sasha"
"Dear Congressman Steve King:
Jesus, in the Gospel of Luke, has a message for you.
Today, the representative from Iowa—famous for such gems as saying that minority students “feel sorry for themselves" and comparing immigrants to “dogs”—launched another in a series of unprecedented attacks on President Obama. But this time, he picked a more personal target: the president’s two daughters, Malia and Sasha....."
"......Let’s be clear: when an outlet like Breitbart publicizes the private location of the daughters of the president of the United States, breaking all prior press precedent and Secret Service security protocol, Breitbart is putting those two girls in danger. If he were alive, I have to imagine that Andrew Breitbart, the website’s namesake and father of four young children, would not have stooped so low....."
".......Congressman King professes to be a fellow Christian, but is doing great disservice to the Gospel with his incivility and divisive attacks. I have to imagine that more people are driven away from the message of Christ because of his behavior than the other way around.
Perhaps he is familiar with these words from the Gospel of Luke: “It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little children to stumble.”
Jesus’s message. Not mine."

Here's hoping.....
"Yes, an assault-weapons ban is dead. But, argues Michael Tomasky, a decent gun bill still stands a chance of passage—provided five red-state Democrats do the right thing."

Well, they're all for individual rights and responsibilities and look at any curb as an unnecessary intrusion.
The thing is, we the government don't act in a vacuum. We act because there's a need or collective right that must be ensured. We have laws that recognize just that - you murder, we take away your right to live a free life. Why doesn't "you commit a crime, you can't own a gun" naturally follow?
I am so confused.
-
-
And you get to look like an Easter egg also! Well, an elongated egg.
-
I call that "Peeps Fashion."
-
Love the bonnet!
