Blue - the one you put up yesterday about labelling food in the corporate fridge - I found it online and printed it - now stuck to our work fridge which also happens to have a sign insisteing food be labelled.

JMO but I think ( some news person said it first ) Ryan is a used up tied to be something has been. He would do more good filling water pitchers and glasses. That might be useful. I think 2014 and beyond could tell quite a story. The McConnells, Ryans', and Boehners' are not going to last long----going down with the Republican ship.

Kam, that's right. We can fix everything by raising taxes, especially on the 1-2%.
-
Huffingtonpost about sums it up:
RYAN BUDGET: $4.6 Trillion In Cuts... Medicare Vouchers... Huge Medicaid Cuts...Budget Would 'Devastate' Food Inspections, Housing Assistance...Education, Infrastructure On Chopping Block... Huge Tax Cut For Highest Earners... 'Class War On Behalf Of The Rich'... 'Solves Inequality Like A Flamethrower Solves A House Fire'

Ryan - longing to yell - what is it about losing an election where his budget ideas were front and center that he doesn't understand?
-
The gentleman (or hero) that filmed Mitten's comments on the 47% in Boca Raton will be on The Ed Show tomorrow nite.
Alexandria - seems like doubling down on stupid to me.

Answering the shout out-thanks for noticing. I've been reading but not posting much. February 7th marked the 1st anniversary of my cancer diagnosis. Then one week later, Bailey, my 15 1/2 year old yellow lab/golden retriever, fell and hurt her back leg. She couldn't walk anymore so I had to make that awful decision. I love all the canine and feline pictures-they make me smile and cry at the same time. Athena, the fashion shows are great. You are amazing women. I am glad I found you. Hope you are having a good week in spite of the aggravation coming from DC.

Oh, Juliaanna, I'm so sorry for your loss! We've all had to do that at one time or another -- be responsible, loving petparents -- and it just rips your heart right out of your body and stomps on it. (((((Juliaanna))))) But I'm glad you posted to say hi!
Apparently the regressives are not only sore losers -- they're delusional sore losers. They have gotten so much mileage out of repeating lies so often and so loudly that a certain dim segment of the population believes them that they have become victims of their own propaganda. They can tell themselves over and over again that the American people really do like their ideas, they just didn't like ... um ... I dunno what -- their presentation?
What part of "the last president since Eisenhower to be elected TWICE with more than 50% of the popular vote" do they not understand? The part where he's black? The part where they don't like it and won't accept it because ... waaaahhhh, they don't like it! What part of MANDATE do they not grasp? That's the danger in screaming propaganda ... you go deaf and start believing it yourself. Here's something else they don't seem to get:
They drive on the same roads and bridges, too. Maybe they're willing to bet that they're not on one when it collapses. Again.ETA: Sorry for the weird HTML stuff in there. don't know how to get it out, since it doesn't show up in "edit" mode.L

So true, HappyLibby. They are still soooo angry about losing the election. They will hang onto any kind of negativity they can for the next few years. Such a shame.....
Still hoping the Republican party can get their act together and get rid of the extremists who continually bring them down.

Just something I ran across:

-
((((juliaanna)))) - yey! Nice to see you. Don't be a stranger.
I am so, so sorry about your darling dog. I had to give the order to euthanize my golden lab, Athena, without having the chance to say good-bye. I had to make the call long distance, speaking to the vet, who had come out of the OR just to report to me. They had opened her up in exploratory surgery and found her insides riddled with cancer.
So very sorry about you loss.
I am loving the articles/pictures.
Ryan is the closest thing republicans can manage to a so-called economist, and his maths isn't fuzzy - it is non existent! It's like having a maths teacher who can't do his multiplication tables.

Reposting here:
I've been wanting to do this for a while, but don't know the best time - a roll call/howl out/shout out/sonar transmission to threadmates we haven't seen for ages but who have logged in from time to time, so may read this.
I include underwater forms of communication in case this call reaches OTTER while she is taking a quick dive - OTTER, missing you loads - yes, we are commie pinkos but we love you. :-)
ANG7 - for this we need a squall of some kind to see if she can be reached in the sky ANG7 - where are you!!!!
And GRACIE1 - I've seen you on other threads - wish you'd come back to this one, and so, so glad you are doing well with your treatments! Calling GRACIE1!
RILEY - Although I don't know if she still logs in - love to hear from you!

Yes, I too have succumbed. Easier to find a "cartoon" to represent people like Ryan. I can't imagine anyone thinking for a minute that they can go up against what about 90 percent of the people say they want. I know that there is some hope if you just keep saying something long enough, but there are 90% of people who are going to just keep saying it too...and if Mr. Ryan is unable to do the math for his budget....maybe he should just look at the percentage of people who have said they don't want it.
Love your cartoons, Blue.

Interesting blurb on Raw Story about Hamnity being upset that the economy is doing ok right now. Well, that just tells it all about where people like him are. Of course they want to see failure.....so that the left/Dems can be wrong about things. It was never so much about if we are wrong...it is always about if we ARE right. Now that being said, the sheer numbers that say the rt./Repugs are wrong should make one a bit less inclinned towards upset and on to being realistic and work from that aspect. No wonder the Repulicans and Fox News are garbage pail fodder so often.
