The top two pictures are precious, the bottom one is the truth and nothing but the truth so help me God.

So far I've survived the evil chemo. It was a non event, except in my head. Nurse missed the port on first try, its a little swollen since its brand new. Trying to drink like a fish....water that is.
Hope for some sleep tonight. Lights out ladies -
take care chickie and drink drink drink
-
Love the mark twain poster! Chick, hope tomorrow is good to you and no crappy SE's present!
-
Thinking of you, Chickadee. Hoping you feel as good this morning as you did last night, with no evil side effects.
(Yikes on missing the port! That would suck. I never quite got used to my port, but it did make chemo so much easier. I hate getting stuck, and my spaghetti veins hate it even more.)
I've been watching the news from Detroit from afar . . . our former mayor was convicted in his corruption trial yesterday. I was never a fan of the guy -- couldn't get past his homophobic comments in his first mayoral campaign -- but it was still a sad day. Sometimes I think the word "charisma" is overused, but Kwame Kilpatrick definitely had it. As I said, I was never a fan, but on the few occasions I was in a room with him, I had to keep reminding myself of that, because he really had a way of drawing you in. He was a rare political talent, and to squander that talent in such a squalid and venal way . . . what a waste.

Chick - wishing you a good day and no SE. May you swiftly become very boring.
I've missed a lot of posts. E - was having trouble last week. E- Hope you're doing better and your beautiful boy is keeping your spirits up.
Wishing everyone a beautiful Tuesday, and thanking everyone for all the messages.

Alexandria
I read "We Band of Angels" years ago at my mother's (WWII nurse) urging. What an amazing group of women.
Please accept my condolences. Your loss and ours is significant. Yours for losing your beloved MIL and ours for losing this amazing participant in history. -

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your MIL. I read "We Band of Angels" years ago at my mother's urging. She was a WWII nurse and wanted me to know this story.
What an amazing group of women. What a significant loss for all of us.
My prayers are with you and your family during these difficult days. -
Sorry...
I am trying to post to another thread and twice it has posted here. Have no idea what is going wrong. -
Amused as ever by Faux news. If they continue as they have they will end up in as much division and derision as the GOP. Learned my Fox news loving BIL thinks we have a communist White House. He got a little p-o'ed when I burst out in gales of laughter but I couldn't help it. His face was so serious. I felt like telling him to go back to his planet and I'd stay here on mine. SIGH !!! Some days it doesn't pay to speak to your relatives.

Jackie: I think a lot of people don't even understand what communism is. It's really why it's funny.
-
nor do they understand what Socialism is.... and the same group of people who are all about personal responsibility for people are all OVER government help for companies... so confusing.
-
Chicky, just read your post. Hope by now you have had an incredible night's sleep. Glad the chemo was a semi-breeze.
I slept 11 hours last night! For some reason Aromasin has the opposite SE on me as it has on others.

A little truth to share:

-
-
Yes linda and a little more food for thought:

-
Waving at chickadee and hoping you stay feeling good!
Paul Ryan is a one trick pony. And he is wasting taxpayer time and money feeding his fantasy when he puts a totally false assumption into what should be a thoughtful and reasonable budget submission. Nero ... fiddles ... country burns ... comes to mind.
I like this ...

Jackie ... love Maxine!

Wabbit, love the wolf proverb!
Ryan seems to already be on the 2016 campaign trail. Some people just don't learn. Pathetic.
-
The Cherokee saying/quote is so true. Of course, it helps that I have some Cherokee heritage among many other kinds in my biological repertoire. I too think Maxine tells it like it is, period.

I know this is going to be big....don't know how to re-size.....pertinent though !!!

-
Good morning my fellow statists!
-
LOVING these pictures - hoping Chickadee still has her feathers today, too.
-
I see that some leaders in the GOP are still taking to their looters versus makers arguments. It's not really about budgets....just making the rich richer, and often looting our own US Treasury to do it (i.e. unnecesary wars). Paul Ryan did vote for TARP. Oh, I was wondering when I would get interested in politics again...
Chickadee - I hope you sail smoothly through this new chemo. Many {{{hugs}}} for you.
Enjoyful - I hope you found some relief from your pain. You are so beautiful on your beauty boy.
-
I've been wanting to do this for a while, but don't know the best time - a roll call/howl out/shout out/sonar transmission to threadmates we haven't seen for ages but who have logged in from time to time, so may read this.
I include underwater forms of communication in case this call reaches OTTER while she is taking a quick dive - OTTER, missing you loads - yes, we are commie pinkos but we love you. :-)
ANG7 - for this we need a squall of some kind to see if she can be reached in the sky ANG7 - where are you!!!!
And GRACIE1 - I've seen you on other threads - wish you'd come back to this one, and so, so glad you are doing well with your treatments! Calling GRACIE1!
RILEY - Although I don't know if she still logs in - love to hear from you!
There are likely others....Can someone join me and see if our calls get heard all over the BCO savannah?
-
Add Juilieanne (sp?) and Allyson...and I'm sure there are more.
-
Kam-I see you are fighting an uphill battle on another thread. You are the ONLY one I can see there, BTW.
Wasted energy, I'm thinking.
Mary
-
Also, Annettek with her wonderful flying goat and great posts - where are you, Annette?
