    He does!  hahahahaa

Athena, beautiful gowns.  Sadly no where to wear them nowadays.  Even the Opera is pretty casual these days.

I've been sleeping all day.  Had two molars filled yesterday and it knocked me out.

Ta Da!!! I'm home from 4th & final AC #4!!!!!

Starting on March 1, I have 12 weekly taxol. I thought the nurses might put on silly hats and dance & sing for me. At least give me a cupcake. But, they said, they don't do that until I'm done with taxol.

If I have to wait that long....I want Hunky Firemen, not nurses!

    Blessings

    Ta Da Paula!!!

FYI: To your previous question, I am an atheist but I do approciate your prayer. I would translate it as "keeping me in your thoughts" And you are in mine too - hope this final dose doesn't put you out as much. Congrats!!

Blue, I have nowhere to wear gowns either. It's sad how casual life has become, isn't it?

Paula-if that doesn't make you feel better, I don't know what will!

Thanks, Blue. It sure makes my day better! On the playground today, we had a nosebleed, a fight, and a dodgeball argument, all in the last 30 seconds of recess. And none of those events involved the same students. So glad it's Friday!

Especially when the kid gets hysterical and starts spraying blood and snot all over the place-sort of like a sprinkler...

    The hunk patrol! Tongue Out

    Paula, congrats sweetie!!

I love the beautiful dresses, but really like being casual most of the time. However I still obsess about being color coordinated. Sigh. Drives my DH crazy. He is totally impervious to the colors he combines.

Mary - that reminds me of bullying. I was watching a program last night about a 13 year old girl who was cyberbullied to suicide by the mother of a friend of hers. Just awful...

Haha - the hunk patrol! Man, give me some Taxol if that's what I need to get me one of 'em!

Work = still up in the air. I am NOT good at dealing with stress. (Crazy people aren't as a rule.) Apologies in advance if I innundate this thread with lion pics. :-)

Blue Wendel is so darn cute. What a great pal he is going to be!!!

Sigh !!!!  Glad the work week is over and I have a couple days to wind down and relax a bit.

    See you all later.

All packed - just killing time until the cab comes at 2:30 (I've got to wait 5 more hours???).

Took Poppy to the vet to board and she cried a couple of times on the way. Usually she only cries when we get there cos she recognises the area. I'll miss her too much.

We don't get in to Christchurch until 11:30 at night but our bodies will think it's only 8:30 - that'll be fun. Very apprehensive about the bike trip even though I read that if you can ride a bike you can ride that trail. The weather forecast for that area is quite cool next week with some showers. I can see me getting in the bus:)

I'm taking my little computer with me, so I'll try and keep in touch and let you know how brave I am.

Suzie: Have a wonderful trip.  I've wanted to go to New Zealand since LOTR.

    Paula: congrats.

Blue: love the cardinals.  Is that a College of Cardinals?

So I got my critique back from the writing contest.  It doesn't appear that I'm one of the two people who will be automatically sent on to an agent.  I was critiqued by the author of thrillers.  Some small polishing needs to be done, but here's the main comment:

Let me begin by stating, bluntly, that I believe your book (the
first 51 pages, at least) is ready for review by an agent or an
editor. It’s nicely paced, the characters are interesting and the
story was engaging enough to command my interest throughout. I read
the submission in a single sitting and have no major criticism to
    offer.

Sandy, remember that Sylvia Plath's "Bell Jar" was initially rejected. Also, you've got heaps of readers right here.

If I had to name the authors who have self published I'd never stop. Including James Joyce.

    Enjoy your trip, Suzie!

Thanks girls - final panic worrying our bags are too heavy - moved my toiletries out of Steve's bag back to mine. His golf shoes are heavy - I still can't believe we are taking his golf clubs. Still there are some gorgeous courses there and it would be a shame for him not to play them.

Yorkie NZ is 3 hours ahead of us, so when we get there at 11:30pm it will only be 8:30 at home. Coming back we leave at 8 in the morning and get back here at 8:50am, so we get the whole weekend to get back to normal.
