sunny - Hi! We have missed you! Yay on the 3 year cancerversary!
-
Aw, thanks SpecialK!!
-
Happy dance for you!
-
Hi Sunny- Great to hear from you and that's wonderful news about the scans! No decision yet if the next get together will be back at the Cheesecake Factory or someplace else but keep watching the header for the info. Monday's child keeps us up to date on what's happening.
Pam, sorry your BCBS plan was out of network
, you must have a different type than I have. My BCBS plan considered Moffitt in network, but for some services my copay was 25% rather than 20%. Its mind boggling the expenses of having bc.
-
Hi all anyone in the Clearwater/Tampa area want to get together for lunch in the next week or two?
-
I can maybe make a Saturday lunch. I can't do any Mon-Fri because of work....Just had a three day weekend, hooray, but back to the old grind in the morning.
-
zappons - I am around most of the time but I think the majority of ladies on this thread work during the week. I would be happy to lunch anytime!
-
While I do work full time, I can meet for lunch during the weeks. It will just depend on client conflicts. I cannot do anything this Saturday as i will be land locked for Gasparilla!
-
If I'm not wrapped up with Jacob and his High School then I can make it during the week. We fish on most weekends.
Going in for body scan on Thursday.....scanxiety! -
Best wishes Thursday, firework!
I am a maybe as well. I work full time, but am generally on the afternoon/evening closing shift. (Yay for getting to sleep in often!)
Got my appt for tattoos in March, which will be my very first medical appt of the year.
-
firework - good luck on the scan - hard not to be anxious!
dll - when you get the tattoos are you complete?
-
SpecialK, I still need some fat grafting to fix a flat spot where I had extra tissue & skin removed & the muscle underneath was shaved down. My PS was tempted to pull the implant over to fix it back in August when I had it swapped out but decided to play it safe. Your PS did a beautiful job on your fat grafting!
-
firework,
I'll be thinking of you tommorrow. It will probably be a long day. If your scan is on the floor where the Arts in Medicine room is, that's a nice place to wait after you check in. Pretty music, lots of artwork to see and things to make if you feel like it. I learned how to fold an origami crane.
Monday's child, landlocked!!! Watch out for all those pirates....
-
Thanks Lee!
We're going to stop in at 8:00 then return at 11:00 for the scan. I'm hoping to go eat a big breakfast somewhere near Moffitt........we'll see.
I know the second floor you're talking about, I've studied the art work very closely while waiting!
Look forward to seeing everyone soon.
Lorraine -
Hope things went well, Firework.
Watch out for pirates, MondaysChild!
-
Firework...good wishes to you! Monday's Child - Hoist 'em high Matey!
-
Results are in..........no Mets!
My arthritis is just that bad.....Arimidex multiplies the pain 10 fold!
Thanks for all the support!
Lorraine -
wonderful news for you! I do so hear you about the arthritis. my hands have been hit hardest, which is where it all be began for me in 1983.
-
Lorraine - Great news that there are no mets! Sorry that the arthritis is that bad, though!
My petscan is tomorrow, and I should know results on Friday. Needing some good thoughts as I deal with the scanxiety
-
Lorraine, great news!
-
Yay fireworks!
I agree about the Arimidex really ramping up the arthritis pain. I'm always reading the AI threads hoping to find something that works for the SE's. I can deal with the hot flashes but I am not dealing well with this joint pain. Wish cheescake made it better....
.
-
Yay, firework!
Sorry about the arthritis you ladies are dealing with, though.
Sending positive thoughts your way, nbnotes!
-
firework - yay!
nbnotes - sending you positive waves for the PET!
dll - I am so happy I did the fat grafting - so far all my fat seems to be holding on - of course, that is true of all the fat on my whole body, lol! I am doing myfitnesspal (you do it too, right?) - love it! Have lost 4 lbs. so far!
Ladies who have pain on AIs - I went gluten-free and take a daily Claritin and I swear it helps - at least it did for me!
-
Yep, SpecialK--I love MyFitnessPal. I am down 25 lbs since June (even with my holiday overindulging). I appreciate all of your insights & info on the fat grafting. And congrats on the weight loss!
-
dll - my holiday indulging is WHY I am doing myfitnesspal, lol! I have only been doing it for a little over a week. It is making me a lot more conscious of what I am eating. Since I can only walk until my PS lifts the exercise restriction (2 more weeks!), I really see the value of burning those calories with 90 minutes of seriously fast daily walking. I am more motivated when I get to log it in! It is so awesome that you lost 25 - that is major! I was sad for a minute, well maybe longer, because I didn't weigh myself when I set up the login stuff - I put down what I weighed the last time I checked - I decided the next day I better be accurate and I weighted 3 lbs. more than I put down!!! So, I was already behind!
-
hi ladies! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! Everyone sounds good! Special K I need to check out what you are doing....I've been walking but should probably make it "official" and check it in for extra motivation.
MondaysChild...I was thinking about you this weekend....was it wild around your house???
Hope everyone is well!
-
Zappons, I'm in Clearwater and would love to do a midweek lunch sometime!!!
-
ameron - www.myfitnesspal.com - I'm hooked!
-
nbnotes, it's got to be good news Friday. NED !
SpecialK, thanks for the link. I think I'm going to have to check out MyFitnessPal too! I need some serious motivation to exercise.
-
nbnotes,
Sending calm vibes to you today. Have a great weekend, bundle up -Florida style!
