thanks for the cheesecake btw Lee. no chocolate this time for me.
-
Hi Ladies, I am planning on joining you Saturday! Hubby said he would drive me and amuse himself at mall
How do I locate all of you once I arrive? Tried to post avatar pic, but not sure it worked.
Hugs! -
We need a like button here! Pam
-
Yes, we do need that Like button. We'll be the female group that keeps doing the yakkity yak thing.
-
If we are sitting inside, we will probably be sitting to the right, the side where the bar is. That worked out well before since the little ones aren't seated on that side and we can bc talk ...without having to whisper.
and DLL will be wearing sunglasses
.
DLL...A counter at work? Tell the truth, you were out dancing in a mosh pit.
-
Ow DLL are you ok?
-
I'm fine. I just look like I got into a fight. Lee7, we took our boys to the 97X Next Big Thing last month & a huge mosh pit broke out. I am too old for that, I think.
-
DLL, I'm glad you're ok.!

Hello all,
My next appt with my Onco will be this month. I've now been on Arimidex for a year. Same SE as everyone else. Only thing the NP had suggested earlier was to try Femera. I asked if the make-up differed between the two AI and she said no.....so, has anyone felt better switching to a different med? BTW, I was post menopausal.
Lorraine
You may see the same post from me in the 40's-60's group. -
The AI that is a little different is Aromasin. I've only been on Arimidex and I'm coming up on 2 years next month. I've considered switching to see if I could feel any better on a different AI but when I asked my onc about it she suggested I should try Tamoxifen to help my bones. I didn't want to go on that one so I said I'd stick it out on the Arimidex. edited to add......the SE's are no fun.
-
firework - I switched from Femara to Arimidex after 6 months because I developed a "trigger thumb" on my dominant hand. MO offhandedly said let's try a switch - the thumb improved a lot so I stayed on Arimidex. I have some joint pain - the usual - moving helps it, so I get a little stiff on a long car ride, or when I first wake up. Other that that, not bad.
-
I had daily and multiple headaches on Aromasin so was switched to Femara. Thankfully, there's been only been a few headaches since then and easily controlled. As for my hands, they weren't great on Aromasin and have progressed while on Femara. Considering this was a pre-existing issue I can't say the AIs caused it. Have the aggravated it - quite possibly.

Hi TB Sisters. Due to a bunch of things I must attend to, I won't be making it on Sat. Have a great time!
-
Omeggo, sorry -- we will miss you.
I am recovering well 3+ weeks post-stage-2-DIEP, getting some energy back. Looking forward to Saturday!
-
Lee7, Bush was amazing--we just saw them in Ybor over the summer as well.
Sorry we will miss you this time, Omeggo. Ann, glad to hear you are doing so well so soon.
I just got the call to schedule my tatts in March. That will be my first medical appt of the year--it feels so great to have finally made it to this point. Now maybe my finances can start to recover as well.
-
DLL66 -- by whom and where will you get the tats? I'll be planning on it in a few months if I don't need a stage 2b. The NOLA ladies usually go with Vinnie, who is based in Maryland but goes to NOLA about one week per month, and does amazing art. Because it's a new insurance year, I'd have to pay the whole thing as an out-of-network charge, so if there is someone excellent in network I might think about it.
There is a PS in Lakeland who is trained to do them, but I don't know how nicely she does 3D.
-
annalive - there is someone at Moffitt who does them (my PS send peeps there) but I don't know anything about the quality of their work. There is a BCO member in Sarasota named facecrafter who also tattoos. Momof3 also knows someone in Oldsmar. I still have my originals but need to enlarge the areola on the left so it matches the one on the right so I am interested in this subject too.
-
I am having my tatts done in my PS' office by his RN. Michelle @ Requiem Body Art in Spring Hill also does them very inexpensively & she does beautiful work (she did the Fire Horse on my shoulder that you probably didn't see yet). I am sticking with my PS' staff due to my history of being a problem child.
-
We will miss you, Omeggo.
Our reservations are made and listed under "Tampa BCO". Same area in the restaurant as before. See you TOMORROW!
-
I looked at Facecrafter's website -- oh yeah, now I remember seeing her on the forums. See you ladies tomorrow!
-
Oh my gosh, look at these salads!! I'm going to have to order one of them tomorow.
-
WOW! They look great! Look forward to seeing eveyone tomorrow!
-
It's almost Tomorrow!
-
Lee7, those salads are so NOT moving me off the great pasta selections and carb overload. Keep trying.
-
Those salads do look amazing! I don't get to the Cheescake Factory nearly enough. So looking forward to it and seeing everyone!
-
It's tomorrow already...Cheesecake and good company!
-
Another wonderful get-together...with Cheesecake! To those unable to attend, you were missed.
-
I was so happy to meet everyone today! Thanks so much for making me feel welcome!
-
I can't even look at the cheesecake pictures I posted earlier.....I'm still recovering from a sugar high! Thanks for sharing.... they were all so good. And the company, as always was wonderful. Missed all who couldn't make it, and enjoyed meeting you, zappons!
-
So great seeing everyone today! Would love to have spent more time with each of you, I'm all for having an informal house get together. As I've said before, my house is small but all are welcome!!
Every get together offers an opportunity to exchange journeys as well as tips for getting through. I'm constantly receiving new suggestions on medication as well as some good old folklore remedies for these SE. Most importantly, for me, is to look at all the beautiful faces and feel completely relaxed and reassured. You are all my people, I belong here-we belong here. That's a great way to start a New Year, Happy New Year 2013
Lorraine
