It seems such a claim was made but nobody has furnished anything to back it up.  Bad people can come from anywhere though ... doubt Canada is immune from having a few nut cases of their own.

I just watched the infamous eyeroll video ... LOL.  Lives there a wife who has never done the eyeroll thing when her hubby and another guy are talking and trying to get her involved in their foolishness?  Must not have been too bad ... the stinkeye did not appear. 

Some lip-reading expert on the news said that Boehner and President Obama were talking about having a cigarette before coming into the building. Apparently Boehner said something like, "Someone won't let you, huh?" to the president, meaning Michelle. I'd roll my eyes too.

I liked Michelle's "old" hairstyle better.  It was more elegant.  I agree that the red dress did NOT enhance her figure.  I'm not a fan of red pouffy dresses in general, though.

My thought as well.  Not that any of us saw all of the proceedings, but how difficult for Mrs. B.  No grace there.  I guess if you have to show disloyalty to someone....but darn, I would want to hold my head up while the ship is sinking.  No way would I wish to spend the day looking like I swallowed a lemon.    The Times They Are A'Changin' -----

had my tattoos done  yesterday - that was NOT fun.  and the stuff I have to put on them BURNS!!!!!  The weird thing (to me) is that on my reconstructed side I hurt and burn about four inches away from where the tattoo was done..... very mixed up nerves.

Athena - responding to your post from about four pages back - I never tried everything and never wanted to (be it cigarettes, drugs or behaviors).  I had SO MANY acquaintances who would say to me that I couldn't tell if I'd like something if I hadn't tried it.  Whenever they'd start to push me like that (in whatever direction) I'd know they didn't have MY best interests at heart, therefore they were not friends of mine.

I told my husband yesterday that I've always been out of step with the times.  I guess another way to say it is that I dance to my own drummer and depend on society very little for approbation.

I both loved and hated many of the dresses in the fashion show of the last few pages.  I've never had the svelte look that designer styles need.  When I was young I had the Marilyn Monroe figure (except I'm short), but with age - well, I'm fortunate that my husband likes my looks, but designers would throw up.

GG - I am the most "un-hip" and "un-cool" person I know.

Never belonged to my "times" either and was incredibly farsighted and responsible as an adolescent - I understood the grownups better than my peers. I never felt comfortable with young people when I was young, I hated rock concerts because I can't stand large boistrous crowds and even today I rarely enjoy small talk. Not "cool" at all!

These days I dress casually and my closet is on the boring, frumpy side. Damned Tamoxifen bugs bunny belly is still with me. When I was young I disliked casual environments and parties and clothes. I am a bit more laid back now but if I had to choose I would say I feel more at ease in formal environments than raucous ones. Totally un-cool!

yorkiemom - I kept laughing every time the camera came to Mrs. Orange, she looked down right ANGRY.  REALLY miffed, po'ed ANGRY.  Whew - glad I wasn't in front of that "glare."  There were a few photos of her at the luncheon, where you could almost HEAR what she was thinking, and it wasn't nice.

Loved everything about the Inauguration - esp. The Address:  Senaca, Selma, Stonewall - YES, YES, YES, YES....oh, my I do give thanks so often for having this human being as President of the United States.

Athena, it seems that way, although I must ask, how do you feel about Alexander McQueen? Are you inclined to diss him like you did Mr. B? Because then we might have problems
