The plot is thickening by the minute! We need a thorough investigation of all evidence. Is Obama REALLY president or a mass hallucination? Was he born in the U.S. or Mars (after all they've found life there)?
-
Obama was hatched 50 years ago by the Taliban. It's like you guys don't read the news or watch movies!
-
Well, he is kind of an egg head.
-
Bwahahahaha!
-
Oh heck it was the clones.....

Hello all. Had a great Sunday! After church, met up with some friends for lunch and shopping. Am so looking forward to tomorrow and watching the inauguration of President Obama. Woohoo!!!!!!
Alexandria, I did not watch the video you referenced, but I feel badly that you were hurt and offended by (from the sounds of it) the vile nature of it.
Mary, your story about the men's "prayer" breakfast.... Wow, just wow. I can't even imagine my minister being political in the pulpit, let alone being extreme in his views. (And if he did, that would be the last time I'd worship at that church!). Bravo to your husband for his response!
Linda, loved the rant!
So, it's conspiracy Sunday (you ladies, crack me up!).....hmmmmm.....which conspiracy is it today???? ; )

-
I did not know that Obama is a lizard! That explains so much.
My brother speaks Arabic...does that make him a Muslim terrorist too? -
Can't remember if anyone posted anything about this, but if not, file this under the category of "Ya can't make this stuff up!"

Belinda...I did see that and no you definitely can't make it up.
Wasn't there a t.v. show at one time that had as part of its billing...'where truth is stranger than fiction'. Just is a phrase that popped into my head as I scanned that piece again. Sure would be nice if a lot of people could believe the truth/facts that are in front of them and not do the "clever" rearrangement so it can seem like something entirely different.

Possible captions to picture of people running from gun shots at gun shows:
So, still waiting for all those armed people to jump in and stop the shooting
What? You're running away?
And this is how not to teach gun safety.
Responsible gun owners drop gun.
-
Jackie, yes "truth is stranger than fiction!" I wonder what people (centuries from now) will think of this era and some of the wackadoodles (e.g. NRA) that inhabited it. I use the past tense of inhabit, because, hopefully, the NRA will not exist centuries from now (or sooner! : )
-
Alexandria, lol!
-
Definitely a great Sunday............ : )

I do NOT like her hairdo at all. Unelegant, unfeminine. Like a Balenciaga dress. :-)
ETA: But she is still chic and wonderful in the important ways as well.

Good morning, all. Thrilled to have the day off! What a beautiful day! Happy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Happy Inauguration Day!
Some quotes to start our day:
"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies. Forgiveness is not an occasional act; it is a permanent attitude." –- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and consciencious stupidity.” --Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.” ----Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom." --Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”--Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
"Sooner or Later, All The People of the World Will Have to Discover a Way to Live Together.” --Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Athena, please don't diss my man Balenciaga!

More from Mr. B:

-
I like FLOTUS's new hairdo, but then again I like Balenciaga too!

But I do have to say those bangs are going to be too hot in the summer heat.
-
I think Michelle's hair cut is cute, but I'm generally not a fan of bangs, just from a maintenance point of view, if nothing else.
-
John Lewis is fighting back his tears of joy today!

Belinda....loved those quotes. I leave daily quotes on a couple of the other threads here and have done it now for several years, and I am moved by the ones you chose to share.
So glad that both these 'great' days will be celebrated together. Really great to see President and family going to the church this morning across the street from their home. I noted the changes and how the oldest daughter is nearly as tall as her mother.
Not sure how I feel about the new bangs Michele has but do like the soft page-boy effect -- I'll have to look for awhile longer I guess. It is going to be a fantastic day all together. I'm glad to see the formal exchange that will put us into the last four years of Pres. Obama's leadership. I so hope it will set the pace for what and who will come next.

BREAKING NEWS! ROFL

-
Listening to the Battle Hymn of the Republic with tears in my eyes. Didn't plan on watching, but now i'm transfixed.
-
Those are lovely, Momine, I must admit.
-
Athena, see? Told ya!
Seriously though, he was a true master and draped on live models, not dummies. I have always found his clothes extremely feminine and elegant. -
Did somebody mention the Lizard King?
-
Momnie, I will show you what I mean when I get home and have a better computer. I dislike the modern collections.
Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson sang so beautifully at the inauguration. It was lovely, I thought. Michelle looked close to tears. Obama.....I hope some of his words go heeded. He is too wise for pundits to understand him.
-
I only heard Kelly Clarkson in the background while 'computing'. Wasn't that 'God Save the Queen'?
