Athena, The mother of all vacancies!
-
I'd like a special brownie myself. It's been a bad day for pain.
-
If you all come to my house here in Washington State, I can legally bake you those brownies and give them to you. I can't legally buy what it takes to make them, but I can HAVE it, so I still need someone to give it to me. But we can consume them without fear.

Mary
-
Mary, can you grow your own? Imagine, a brownie tree. Or do they grow on vines?
-
You can't grow, buy, or sell, but you can HAVE. I think you can grow a limited amount if you are a medical marijuana dispensary, but I'm not. You can buy if you have a "green" card.

Perry? Great job? Dang I must have awakened in a parallel universe.
on second thought I not up for a pol. Argument tonight, suffice it to say, To me he's all hat.......thank heavens the voters saw through him. -
Mary: But that makes no sense!
-
Paula - Herman Cain? I was going to say you had me at Palin, but don't you remember Cain's interview with the Milwaukee Sentinel? He showed an amazing display of ignorance about current events for someone running for POTUS.
-
It's Medicare's fault. That's why it makes no sense!
-
OH I keep underestimating Medicare's reach. My bad.
Speaking of bad, Paula likes who she likes. Don't try to convince her otherwise or we'll just get into arguments and everyone will go away angry. Just take the Medicare happy pill, eat a brownie, and relax.
-
I can agree to disagree with Paula and that's that. I'm glad she can come here and disagree with us on some things and still be civil. She probably won't change my mind politically, and I won't change hers, but I enjoy talking with her. She doesn't call me a libtard.
E-the new pot laws don't make a lot of sense, I agree. There are things that need to be worked out for sure. I think its main purpose was to free up the resources that were being used to prosecute cases of possession of a small amount of pot. Now the police can focus on other, in my opinion, more important things.
Mary -
E, sorry you had bad pain. Please see if you can try acupuncture. It saved my life, literally. I was at the end of my rope with pain. It went from a 7 to 10 pain level constantly for 6 months. I tried every med. Oxy wouldn't even touch it!
ETA - He even put my slipped disc in place with suction cups.

OK, responding to video over the wall. i had family who were at Auchwitz. It is extremely offensive. Watched Jon Stewart who had the perfect answer to people who think that if the Jews in Germany had had guns, the Holocaust wouldn't have occurred. France couldn't stop Hitler, and france had guns. The Soviets, who also had guns, couldn't stop Hitler - until it started to snow.
It was people's blind hatred of those who did not share the same faith, the same characteristics that allowed the Holocause to happen. It was other people, who seeing the hatred and biogtry, who hearing the raving of a lunatic who said in the 1920ies that he would kill all the Jews, said nothing and voted for him to become Chancellor, just as when people hear hate speech now and threats to kill people who are different, they say nothing.
OK, going to go kick a wall now.
That video needs to come down.
-
I'm not offended. As I said before, we can agree to disagree. I was really making a point that Obama's race doesn't bother me. I was really liking Cain until the truth started coming out about him. The same with Palin. My eyes were opened.
I was really unhappy about Clinton's affairs too. He was a pretty good president, but my thought is, " if your own family can't trust you, how is the rest of the nation supposed to trust you?"
Those brownies are sounding better & better. I have a friend in Littleton Colorado who has the card. She had it already for fibromyalgia, but now that she's fighting stage IV ovarian cancer, it really is a plus for her. She said, she didn't know how she'd survive without it.
Old Hippy -
I mentioned earlier that Robin Roberts was returning to GMA on Monday. I was just checking my DVR. She's actually on there Sunday, tomorrow from 9-10 am.
She will also be on Monday.
Goodnight. Time for this gal to go to bed. I get up at 7:30 for church.
Old Hippy -
I adore Paula, but thought she hadn't seen this really funny video. I was mostly reminicing....I'll go back in my hole now.
-
I didn't watch but 1 minute of the video. I agree Alexandria. Some people will stoop so low!
-
Alexandria-you could PM the mods and see what they think, or you could report the post yourself. Though the couple of times I've reported something(and it's really only been a couple of times) I've been put on restriction myself. I agree-a video with that premise is very offensive.
If you go to Snopes, it debunks the myth that the Holocaust happened because Hitler took away people's guns. http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/disarm.asp
Mary
-
Don't you dare Kam!
-
Kam-I remember that video of Herman Cain. I thought it was funny!
Mary
-
Mary - I PM'd the mods, we should all do the same.
-
Yes, Susie-I think PMing the mods is the better way to go.
Mary
-
Kam~I just now watched the funny Herman Cain video. He was surely lacking in foreign affairs wasn't he?
But remember when I mentioned him & Palin in my earlier post, I said I liked Palin AT FIRST. My eyes were opened to both of their short comings.
Thanks for the video. Even I got a chuckle out of it. He must have been really embarrassed.
Goodnight
Paula -
Paula-Thought you were getting up at 7:30 for church!
Go to bed! I'm getting up at 6:30 myself for the same reason, but it's only 9:30 here...Mary
-
So glad our service is at 10:30 am, and I'm 10 minutes away. Good night all.
-
Soteria, that must be the video where poor Herman isn't quite sure which country Libya is. That was so very bad.
Palin kept my poor old Republican husband from voting that year. He just could not bring himself to vote for that woman. He had abstained the previous year too, unable to vote for Dubya a second time.
-
I ended up not getting to bed until 1:00 am. No good reason. I took my Ativan, because this is still decadron days, but I usually take an OTC sleep med. I looked all over my end table and couldn't find it, so I assumed I had already taken it.
I had a very restless night, so I finally got up at 6am to find my OTC on the kitchen counter. Grrrrr.
Anyway, staying up, having coffee. The Best Part of Waking Up is Folgers in My Cup and Jesus in My Heart.
I will nap after church. We usually do anyway.
Yes, Momine, it was the video where Cain didn't seem to know anything about Libya. How embarrassing!
I'm angry at all of DC right now. John Boehner is from my Ohio, and I was glad when he replaced Nancy P. but Id liked to kick him in the crotch about now. He's become an EGGHEAD!
I had AC #3 on Friday. I cut my long hair the night before #1, buzzed it the day before #2. I get my tx every third week. I have never lost the stubble. Even in my hats, there's no little hairs, and my sister & husband swear its growing back, though very slowly.
Have any of you ever heard of this before?
I know there are those on some of the threads who believe, if you don't get every SE, then chemo must not be working.
Have a Blessed Day Y'all
Paula -
Paula, while on AC I did lose all my hair, but I have heard of people like you who didn't lose it all or had it start growing back. (We are all so unique! : ).
I also had several sleepless nights the first nights after receiving treatment. (And I was one of the weird ones who didn't take any sleep meds or other meds....just the anti-nausea). Hoping you can get a good nap later and a more restless night tonight.
This one is for all you hippies out there!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hw3oxJvSRj0
Going to enjoy some more coffee, then off to church, too. My favorite minister will be giving the sermon. He is just so inspirational!
We've got a gorgeous day here, and then it will start getting bitterly cold this week. Brrrrr : )

Video is still there.
I think we owe the 55 million soldiers and civilians who died in World War II better. This is akin to having a video about Holocaust deniers. And yet I have seen posts moderated out for much less.
If I have to report it and be put in restriction, so be it. Can't stand around while lies are propagated. That is how evil and lies grow.
This is arguably the most offensive material I have ever seen on BCO.
