Ok - one really weird kitty - she's decided she wants to sleep on the laundry hamper in our bathroom. She spent last night there and is there again tonight.
Blue - Wendell is gorgeous - same colour as Poppy, which is what they call "blue"

Garden gumby, it has turned very cold here in Maryland. Wishing I was in Hawaii about now!!

Happy birthday, Enjoyful!!
Loving Hawaii. Susie, Kauai was always my favorite island for visiting, as it was so beautiful, but I haven't been there for many years. I'm still trying to get hubby there. He fell in love with the Big Island on our first trip and now it's almost always our destination. We usually also go to Oahu, though, as our son and his family live there. This time, though, they will visit us here. Which should prove to be interesting. It's been many years since I've been around 5 year olds full time - but we should still be able to put enjoy our son - even though he does still act like he's five years old!!!

We are hoping to be able to move here eventually, but whatever happens will happen and I've turned into a bit of a fatalist as I've grown older.... For now, off to Costco.

A wee story about Hawaii: DH and I went for two weeks way back in 1973/4. We actually did up 3 islands, Oahu, Maui and the big island. We stayed at a luxurious hotel (KuiLima) on the northern tip of Oahu over New Year's. Unknown to us, while we were living it up in the main dining room, Pres. Nixon and his entourage were in another part of the hotel -- a stopover, on the way to the far east-- and the Secret Service foiled an assassination attempt! We learned about it the next morning.
By the way, the entire trip, including meals and airfare, cost us a grand total of $550 each. We had a wonderful travel agent at the time!

I DO NOT look like a RAT!!!! OKAY????

Yep ALL GONE!
Gonna go play with my new ball and terrorize Lilah.
-
Ahhhh, Wendell the Wonder Dog!! What a sweetheart! Hope Lilah falls in love with him
! -
Oh my goodness!!! Did I pick exactly the right minute to come check on you guys or what ... how cute he is. So ... what does Lilah think about His Puppiness?
-
Blue - he is gorgeous. I hope the Daddy is happy now - what a Christmas present!!! He is the same colour as Poppy.
-
He's full of beans! Lilah, her highness is keeping her distance. Chicken shit! LOL!
-
Just so cute Blue! Are those tan little booties on him? So when your husband went to pick him up, was the other puppy still there? Did they mesh right away upon seeing him in person? Love love his colorings, ears and round eyes!
-
What a cutie! Thanks for posting his pictures.

The other puppy was gone. He loves us already. Just put him in his crate. He's like the energy bunny. I haven't laughed this much in such a long time. He has Virgil's eyes.

I can so pick it up with my mouth!

Told you!
-
Oh Blue
What a sweetheart.
-
Oh Blue, he's too cute! Now I want one!!!
Blessings

Puppy love! I'm so envious. Love them when they are so little and full of mischief. Enjoy!
-
What a sweet little boy! I love his little alert face!
Happy birthday, Enjoyful -- enjoy!! -
Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It was a great day, complete with a surprise party at the barn, all arranged by my sis.
I wish I could turn 50 every day!
E
P.S. Blue - LOVE that little guy! A great choice. -
Enjoyful ... yeah for the fun birthday!
-
What a nice birthday surprise, E! Glad your sister did it up big for you!! Blue, Wendell is soooo cute!!
-
Enjoyful/Scoot - I hope you have many many more birthdays.
Went to the markets and bought 2 jars of that pain cream. The man said it is not sold in the US. I gave the product a big wrap when 2 potential customers came along. They were impressed by my reccomendation and both bought some. The man gave me 2 small pots for free after my sales efforts. I also bought some magnesium drops to take under the tongue - did some research when I got home and it has many benefits. I've been getting a few leg cramps at night and it is supposed to stop that sort of thing - we'll see. Got a big bunch of bananas but no fish - they didn't have much. Also passed on my usual fudge as I still have heaps from last time. I got there at 6:30am and it was stinking hot - I am really starting to hate this country. The humidity is killing me - we just need a lovely big storm to cool the air down.
-
Blue-he has a little bit of "hound of hell" look to him-in a cute way.

Susie-that just seems to odd to me to have it be so hot at Christmas time. Frankly, I'd like to try it sometime. Here in the Seattle area, we very rarely get snow-it's usually a gray, wet, Christmas and it looks like this year will not be any different.

Enjoyful -- You have our permission to turn 50 next year too!
Susieq -- How terrific that you've found very effective pain medication! Now, because it's quite cold here (but no snow) I almost envy your being too warm! On the other hand, really hot days here in our summer leave me feeling like a soggy, lifeless sponge, so I do feel your discomfort. Merry Christmas anyhow!
