Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas! (being Jewish we don't really celebrate, but do have a family dinner together)
Trying to eat somewhat healthy but failing miserably - will get back at it soon.
-
Hi, CookieMonster!! And Everyone here!!! Yes, let's get back on track, starting Jan. 1st!!! I have been exercising, every day, but my eating is bad once again!! I know what to do ,but need to just do it!! Love having you all here for inspiration and motivation!!!!
-
Hi ladies, I'm not waiting for the 1st. I've been on the treadmill twice this week & eatting better. Although I have been finishing up the Christmas cookies.....unfortunately my splurging for the holidays has sent me up a few lbs. :-(. I didn't really think I could eat that stuff & not gain. Oh we'll....I'll have to work a bit harder. I have surgery scheduled for 1/29 so I am very determined to loose at least 5-7lbs. I am hopefully having my last surgery, finally getting my revision & nipple reconstruction. I think it will be good for my self satisfaction & better body image. Thanks for the encouragement & motivation I get from you ladies. HAPPY, HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!!!!
-
Tenaj!!!!! Good for you, and prayers are coming for a very successful surgery!! Happy New year!!
-

Hi, CookieMonster, Wishing you and your wonderful family a Very Happy New Year!!!! And to everyone here!!!!! Kathy My last night of snacking, he,he,he!!!!!
-
Hi ladies, hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I've been back to business & so far it's working. I'm down a few lbs since Christmas. Unfortunately I gained 5 since Thanksgiving. My surgery is in 4 weeks & I would like to loose at least 5 lbs. I will try my best. I've been doing the treadmill regularly again & eating better since the cookies are all gone, having green tea with all my meals & drinking lots of water.
I had a day date with my DH today to go to the movies. I was very good, no candy or even popcorn. We saw The Hobbit....like it :-) -
I started back at tracking my food yesterday. I put on about 5 pounds over the holidays too. Got to get that off and a bunch more. DS has soccer practice a couple days a week and I'm planning to walk while he practices, did that tonight, and it was good.
We took DS to see The Hobbit - he quite enjoyed it.
Keep up the good work tenaj! And best wishes to the rest of you too.
-
Hi, CookieMonster!!!! Just reading your posts is motivating me once again, thank you! You are doing great!!!! Also having a bone scan and realizing I again was blessed, has made me more determined!!!! I will be thinking of you as you prepare for surgery!!! 4 weeks, 5 lbs. sounds great. I will try to stay on track with you!! Boy, having a grandbaby is so wonderful. Lily weighs 13 lbs now. She is my weight training, he, he,he!!!!!! She loves to be held!!!! Glad you got to see the Hobbit!!!!
Happy New Year!!!!! -
Hi Kathy, that sounds so cute with Lily. She's growing so fast. How was Christmas? I know she's little, but it such a fun exciting time for all :-)
I'm down 2 lbs since Christmas, so far so good.
CookieMonster, your son sounds like he's going to be a soccer star with all those practices. Good job with the walking. Thanks for the support.
Have a great evening! -
Hi, Tenaj, Happy New Year to you, and great on the pounds lost! You motivate me as well!!! Lily loved looking at all the Christmas lights. So much fun!! How are all wedding plans comin
-
I weighed officially today and was only up about 2-3 pounds from my last weigh in - in early December. At the doctor office fully dressed including shoes and having eaten a small breakfast, I registered at 5 pounds up, so suspect my at home weigh in was pretty accurate.
I had lunch out today, but wasn't too bad. Will keep on tracking and hoping things improve from there.
-
My son booked the reception at a nice hotel in Philly on Sept 7th. My daughter is thinking around May-June '14, something very small. Immediate family only, perhaps stay at a
B & B on the coast....Newport, Cape Cod, Maine.....it all sounds great....whatever she decides. She's very busy with her research/job/school & it's not really their type of thing for a big wedding. Thanks for asking. It will certainly help to keep me on track. A lot like you we're to me this past year. I lost over 10 lbs with your encouragement, the first time I've had success in forever! Wow...this is starting to sound mushy now. Lol....I just want you to know I'm grateful for your friendship. Xoxo
Did you have the bone scan? -
Oh CookieMonster I HATE those doctor's scales!!!! What's worse is that they don't take anything off for your clothes!!! Really??? Lol....I hope your visit went well.
-
Hi, Tenaj!!! Sept. 7th, will be here before you know it!!!! I love your daughter's wedding plan!! Elegant but simple !! You are now motivating me again for continued weight loss!! Thank you for your wonderful friendship!! Yes, I had my bone scan, and everything was fine!!! Thank you for asking!!!! CookieMonster, I always take my shoes off, before a weigh in, he,he,he!!!! Was everything else good at your check up??
-
When I weigh at home it's always first thing in the morning, while I'm in my PJ's and that's it.
This was a pre-op visit for Thursday's surgery, I'm cleared so onward we go.
-
COOKIEMONSTER!!!! Thoughts and prayers coming your way for Thursday's surgery!!! Please let us know how it went whenever you feel up to it!!! Will this be your last surgery???
-
CookieMonster, you will be in my thoughts & prayers. Keep us posted on your recovery.
Kindergarten, I am so very glad to hear your bone can went well!! :-)
I have been exercising on the treadmill just about everyday & eating much less. The scale has been stuck except it went up a bit this AM. Darn for having a little something extra yesterday. I've been trying to organize things that I have gotten from my mom's house, (trying to fit in these chores on my mind before my surgery), and was cleaning some special bar type glasses she had. Anyway...these beautiful cordial type glasses seemed like the perfect thing to use & toast my mom since I had an open bottle of Bailey's in the fridge since Christmas. It was delish!!! But the scale didn't like it, so no more toasts for me for awhile. Lol
Have a great day everyone. If your checking in ATeamNana, "hello" hope you had a nice holiday & are not too crazy going back to work.
Rocket, I hope you're feeling better & on the mend quickly. -
Dear Tenaj, when is your surgery? You will be in my thoughts and prayers!! Good for you, on your working out on the treadmill and eating less!!!! Yes, ATeamNana, miss you! Rocket is on another thread as well, and she is doing better, but still needs prayer, miss her here as well. Love all you ladies!!!!
-
Thanks, I'll post when I'm home and not too groggy. This should be much simpler than my previous stuff, we're even going to try using twilight sedation instead of general - they say the recovery should be easier.
I hope eveyone else is healing up and feeling good and eating well and exercising? Is that too much to ask?
-
Prayer & healing wishes to you CookieMonster.
((((Hugs)))) -
Hi, CookieMonster!! Please check in, when you are up to it!! Tenaj, is your surgery soon!? Have a great day everyone!!!!!
