Glad you got to see it, Notself.
-
Correction - Notself- that was the couture show - I had mixed feelings about that one. Here is the recent, (still can't afford it!) ready-to-wear Spring-Summer 2013 show:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVsfsV_H3zw
It's got such lovely, feminine tailoring.
-
Well I went and found a new avatar ... then got interrupted by a phone call and come back to find the lioness back amongst us. Showing off my new found avatar for a minute or two anyway
-
Love the Dior - the fabrics and tailoring are a wonder to behold however the anorexic models are not! Thought there was a move away from that but guess not - very sad.
-
OMG! The ready to wear is so much more vibrant than the couture. Thanks for the link.
-
(((((((((((Scoot/Enjoyful))))))))))) - big hugs from across the seas. We're all here for you.
Happy Wedding Blue - I'm sure everyone will look fabulous.
I'm writing to you from my new PC - I'm free of Win XP forever!!! Went and bought a new desktop yesterday and set it up this morning - only took 3 or 4 hours - god I hate being computer literate.
Just got back from my BIGGEST ride ever - 15.72kms WOW. Steve warned me about a couple of hills where I was going, but I didn't have to get off at all. The only place I had to get off and walk was to cross the main road. Got swooped on several times by a persistent magpie, but he didn't get close enough - love those cable ties. Got to get some for Steve.

-
Enjoyful...I am sad and mad for you right now!! Scans missed most of my critters too. Sounds like you have a good group of docs around you though.
Blue...beautiful wedding. The place looks familiar. On Dufferin Street? North?
-
Blue - how gorgeous! Your daughter is so beautiful.
ETA: Wabbit - You are the queen of great avatars.

-
Pip, it was at the Estates of Sunnybrook, McLean House.
I didn't get to wear my red shoes because my back was killing me, but I still had a good time. Very sore this a.m. so will ttyl.

Divine. Daughter. Dress. GRANDSON...oh, my, no words for that little one. WHAT A JOY!
Athena - hope the Moderators have learned to remove the "automatic ban" when a post is reported on this thread - there is no excuse for the stalkers still reading here - they're got their own thread, which I can't read, cuz everyone who posts on it is on my IGNORE list...tee, hee..
Ok, now someone report this post & then I'll get banned.

Pink October starts tomorrow:

Beautiful pics Blue - is that your grandson? What a cutie pie and your daughter makes a gorgeous bride.
-
Your pictures are beautiful, Blue. Sorry to interrupt the beauty with my skull post.

Feeling a bit crabby today. My daughter and her boyfriend are breaking up-the one we thought was perfect for her, the one we've accepted into our family like a son. He's being a total asshole and jerk. It's a side of him I've never seen and I am shocked and very disappointed.
(Plus I'm having cramps......I'm almost 53, for God's sake....when will my periods stop????)

Good Morning Everyone!
It's a chilly, crisp fall day here. The leaves are starting to change ... and the acorns are falling like crazy. Too bad the squirrels can't keep up with them.
Blue .. You daughter is stunning. I'm sorry you didn't get to wear your gorgeous red shoes. I hope you didn't have too much pain yesterday. Sure wish your doctor would give you some decent pain meds. I can't believe how big George is! He's growing like a weed. He's exactly a year younger than my Nicky.
Mary .. So sorry for your daughter. It's really hard on the family when our kids break up or divorce. Can't believe you are still having periods. I had my uterus removed a long time ago ... and celebrated the fact that it was gone!
I like your graphic .. cancer is not pink and it's not pretty. Breast cancer is not the happy little girl cancer everyone thinks it is. We know what it does to families and loved ones.
Hope everyone has a nice day.

YramAL - I'll trade you hot flashes for menstrual cramps!! My first natural menopause (55) was fantastic...this hormone blocker, ovary removal, not so much.
The new meme for the debate from the R's...."it will be a fair debate if Obama doesn't lie"...."if I don't spend all of my time fact checking".....another Rovian strike - accuse your opponent of what you actually do. This really is their own strategy to preempt Romney's necessary lying at the debates when he is challenged on his multiple positions on any given topic.
-
Sunny - glad to see you here.
Mary - with all the criticism pink is getting, I hope the movement dies eventually.
-
Blue - Sorry about the pain (and the shoes). Love the pictures of the bride and your GS all dressed up - so cute.
-
Mary....I had cycles into my 50's but as it turned out there was a non-cancerous tumor almost the size of a grapefruit causing the periods to just keep coming. When some changes in the tumor started showing up I elected to have everything removed so as not to worry.

Beautiful pictures Blue.
At 55 I was diagnosed. I had my last period 6 months before that. I would much rather have hot flashes than cramps or a flow that made me anemic.Of course I have had hot flashes since I was 40. I love being a girl!
Mary,I really am sick of pink already.
-
No tumor, thank goodness. I have been thoroughly checked in my uterine area since I am on Tamoxifen. Even had an endometrial biopsy. Every time my oncologist checks my FSH(I think) levels he is amazed at how NOT going through menopause I am.

-
Mary - I thought they want to supress ovaries if one was ER+???
Glenna - never had a rough period or one hot flash during menopause (cancer too, just post-menopause)....this Aromasin stuff is killing me with hot flashes!
Debate time remeniscing..
