Went to the markets this morning and then we went to Steve's golf club for a Father's Day breakfast - yummy - now I'm really tired, so I might have a nap after lunch.

Skarsgard was up for the role of Illya in the Man from UNCLE movie that was being talked about a few years ago - and that's not currently being made.

Meant to ask - has everyone seen the picture circulating of President Obama studying papers, sitting in a chair on the patio at the White with an empty chair next to him: Caption, President Obama meeting with Clint Eastwood.

I've emailed it to several  - in case anyone knows how to post a picture here....

That empty chair was a perfect representation of the fictional (Muslim, socialist, demon)Obama they have created to mislead people.  That person does not exist.  And he would never respond with a 'f*ck you' either ... I think they were thinking of Cheney on that one. 

I didn't ... and don't ... expect miracles out of any one President.  I think the train is back on the tracks and running the right direction.  I do not want to see it derailed again for the benefit of a few ... with the majority left to pay the price once more. 

We are waiting for our storms to begin here.  Later than they originally said but any minute now.  Guess they must have hung out over you in Illinois longer than expected Jackie.

One of those priceless things for sure.  I am usually on here later and since this is the third part of BC. Org I have begun to post on, I almost always go to the others in order.  This morning I watched "Meet The Press".  I think I'll always miss Tim Russert, so many times I don't watch anymore.....but as it was righ after the convention. 

Couple of major speakers for the R side....the noted Mr. Gingrich, which would also be one of those I'd award a rusty nail.  Talk of course, about how Pres. Obama has failed......and I thought, yes Newt....and with whom.  For at least three yrs. of his term my taxes have been fine......in fact, the last two years I have gotten money back ( not a major windfall ) but I stopped having to PAY in on a yearly basis.  That says so very much to me along with the fact I'm allowed my voice right now.  Yes, I have had disappointments with this Presidency and there will be more.....but I've also had so far, four years where I didn't wonder what would be taken away from me next.   Think that pretty much says it all.

We had another major deluge yesterday here....not the softer, slower rain predicted.  More today, but I do think the brunt of this has moved on.  Not sure we did much for our water table.  Settled several inches of dust though.

Jackie, I watched MTP too, and appreciated Tom Friedman not getting into a "pissin' " fight with Newt, TF just said: " I am a Planned Parenthood supporter." ( paraphrased) he went on, end of paragraph, period.

How can Carly Fiorina go on about a "woman is more than just the abortion issue" - when if a woman IS GOING TO BE MORE, take a greater LEADERSHIP role in our society: economically, politically, she has to BE ABLE TO CONTROL HER OWN BODY and plan her own choices about parenthood.

Echo's of Gloria Steinum, who said, probably about 40 years ago:" If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament."  Maybe we don't have to use that language today, change ALWAYS starts with someone willing to make waves, but the sentiment is still the same.

Rant over....have a sunny day, and I hope those getting the rain are doing well, fields absorbing much needed water, maybe able to get some Fall crops in.

{{{{{{Kam}}}}} - it all gets better from now on.  In a strange kinda way, I'm happy for you that you didn't think the surgery was going to be as difficult - LESS to worry about, seriously.  AND, AND, AND - now that you're on the other side of it - and hopefully PROUD OF YOURSELF for doing this and taking such GOOD CARE of yourself - your healing will proceed.  I also hope you've got some Percoset

WHEW...so glad for you it's over.  Yikes, I do HATE the anticipation of surgery.  Seriously, it just freaks me out - and I've had so much, you'd think I'd get used to it by now.  Main reason I haven't had these bothersome little poached egg sized implants sliding into my armpits removed - just can NOT face more surgery, even an easy one.

SO - you're been thru a LOT....PLEASE be proud of yourself, and rest, rest, Percoset, and rest...
