You guys are bad ... I love that about you Laughing

2 of the globe lights in my bathroom are burned out.  I'm getting the hair/make-up thing done more quickly now.  Coincidence?  I think not.  Don't know if I want to replace them or not.

Hope you get some results today blue.

Waving 'hello' to everybody ... must go do stuff now.

Feeling a bit better.  The osteopath noticed that my pain not only stems from the herniated disks, but from adhesions from my oomph.  Aren't I lucky?

I'll try anything ladies, once!  hahahahahaha!

oh, dear, I see I should have been MUCH more specific, ain't youse ever seen da peppermint candies, ROUND, in plastic, all ya gotta do is remove the plastic...very sanitary, and yes, you have all figured out the beneficial SE's.

Oooohhhh...Blue - know what you mean about the adhesions - adding a few other surgeries to your list, when I had my gallbladder removed laproscopically 4 years ago, the lovely surgeon said it was like trying to navigate a MAZE.  Nice woman took some of the adhesions OUT with the gallbladder.  Wonder if your's could be removed laproscopically?

I had a friend who had to have a complete hysterectomy because of adhesions. It seems we just can't win with our lady parts sometimes.

Blue - what did you think of the osteopath? Hope they didn't do anything painful.

Blue, adhesion pains can be quite painful.  I really suggest that you give acupuncture a try.  It has worked wonders for me. A lot of my issues are due to scar tissue from surgery and tx.

On the discussion of dhs, I have to say that I have a dandy.  He does all the cooking.  Is not adverse to sweeping and vacuuming.  Does all the outside work.  Has taken over our finances, and my mom's, since my dx.  Best of all, he is very understanding and supportive.

Oh yeah, he also makes great brussel sprouts at least 3 times a week!

Very gentle!  But it may take a few visits.  She's referring me to someone closer to home.

Chickadee ... everybody is going to think you are losing your mind when you start giggling when you see them now :)  I think candy canes would be easier to work with but what do I know.

Hubby just went out for pizza.  Didn't really want pizza but don't want to cook either so I let him have his way.  Have to do that ever so often or they start getting irritable anyway.

blue ... have they got any ideas about what to do about it?   ETA ... and while I was typing you popped in.

Thanks Pip.  I'll have to ask about acupuncture.  Might interfere with my DBS.

She tried to work it out yesterday some.  It's right on the nerve going down the front of my leg starting from pelvic region.  Sciatica usually goes down the back, but I'm special.......have both.

Just saw the saddest thing. Popped down to local supermarket to get a couple of things I forgot and as I was paying, a worker came running out going "full trolley" - a woman with 2 little girls had left the shop with an overflowing trolley and hadn't paid. Luckily, they caught her in time. How sad to subject your children to that - they must be desperate. The checkout girl told me it happens all the time and that they put all of the expensive items at the bottm (like meat). Unfortunately, by the time they unload it, the perishables can't be put back on the shelf.

Hi all, Have been lurking but not writing. You ladies sure know how to make me LOL, I gotta admit! The banter that goes back and forth shows such good friendships have been evolved. Yeah for the good side effects of BC. It makes me sad to think so many of us have the mother/daughter issues. I'm right there with ya! My mom is great, 82, going strong and our relationship is awesome. She complains about every ache and pain but I just feel lucky to still have her in my life (plus she lives very far away ... LOL). My daughter, however, is another story. I hear from her every day, I love you, is there anything you need, etc., etc. But when I ask her if she can take me to chemo it's "well, if you can't find someone else to take you ..... " She's one of those that says all the right things but doesn't follow through. Blames me for all her problems even though we didn't adopt her til she was nearly three and her birth parents were drug and child abusers. I love her dearly and look forward to the day she decides to let go of the past and move forward. I KNOW that things will turn out right for her in the long run so just have to hang in there so I can see it happen! Nothing would make me happier than seeing all my kids become self-sufficient adults. Blue, just can't imagine living with the pain you are forced to live with. Hope so much you can get some relief. Really, now, peppermint enemas? I'm another one who will never look at a peppermint in the same way. Riley, your moving day is my daughter's 31st birthday. I'll be thinking of you. Hope all goes well. Scoot ... where are you hiding?? Have a great weekend, everyone!

I've decided I have one smart cat. After 2 days of me putting her out in the morning, she tried to outsmart me again. On Friday, she was hiding under the dining table and ran downstairs when she saw me - she usually goes outside while I have my breakfast on the front verandah. Luckily, I managed to catch her and put her outside. Today, she didn't even come upstairs after I got off the computer - just stayed in her nest. It is really windy - fair enough. Currently hiding under the bed since I threw her out before I went shopping.

    Hi everyone,

I've just caught up on reading.

       Blue, hope you're feeling better.

I will never look at candy canes the same.

On mother-daughter issues - I had a pretty tumultous relationship with my mother, who died 4 years ago.  I loved her very much, but she drove me crazy, probably because she was crazy, but sweet in her own way. (At one point she had 72 cats in her house.) Still, I miss her.  My daughters are wonderful, but still, at 25 and 20, a little too dependent on me.   The most problematic relationship in my life is with my sister.  Long and depressing story.

Anyway, I have a job interview with the public defender on Monday.  Very excited.  While I've been practicing on my own, a job would mean some income security and BENEFITS.

Best wishes for a great weekend, everyone.  Off to get my Saturday morning liberal fix from Chris Hayes.

aw, guys, I was just doing a bit of "snark" on Ye Olde Cancer Cure of Coffee Enemas.  Well, maybe it wasn't a cure, but still.  And I was thinking of those little "round" ones, honest.  Ok, won't mention again...probably...Tongue out

Acupuncture - thanks for reminding me Pip.  That was one of other other things it helped - many visits of having a "porcupine" on my very full of surgical scars stomach(s) - and WOW -  most of the pain, ropes of scar tissue, are gone. Funny how we so quickly forget pain.  Really, Blue, if it doesn't interfere with your PD, I hope you'll try it.  I was so grateful to be able to actually HAVE the gallbaldder surgery laproscopically, but it sure was the "final straw" for adhesions.  Whew, 5 entry points, and it's true, the docs DO remove the actual gallbladder thru the belly button. ( I know, TMI, but for anybody who ever wanted to be an "innie" there's a waySealed)

Glenna - sorry you are going thru a "phase" with your daughter, I'm a firm believer in time as a healer.  But it STINKS when someone we go to for help, isn't there for us.  Yuck.  I still think that hurts me the most.
