Sunday night I decided to watch Desperate Housewives since it was the finale and I wanted to see how it ended....used to watch it all the time, but for the last two years, have gotten away from it when characters changed and it got too far-fetched to follow. So I watched the past two episodes on demand to sort of find out what was going on and then the finale. Then I was watching Game of Thrones at 11 PM and once again fell asleep before the end. To tell you the truth, I am just not as into it this year....loved the lst season, but they are changing things from the book. They did NOT steal her dragons in the book, and yes King Jeffrey was a wicked little brat and Ahole, but he did NOT have the prostitutes flogging each other. Maybe they are trying to add some spice and intrigue to the show, but for me it is not working. Then on Monday I watched the Big C, and Nurse Jackie on demand and also watched The Good Wife. I also saw some of the Bachelorette, but turned off the last half hour....supposedly she is nice and sweet, but that is not the way magazines are portraying her...say she's in it for the $$s and also upsetting her parents as well as the dead fiance's by being on there. And why do it in your home town when they can track down and harass your daughter? Oh well. I think somewhere in there I also saw some DWTS, but with me it is sometimes what I wake up to. Funny, but also sad. Just need more sleep than I used to and give in to it.
I think I will be watching some NCIS when I am visiting 3 Jays.
-

Spoiler, don't read if you don't want to know. I can't bear it if they kill off David McCallum. I've watched him since he played Illya on "The Man From UNCLE!" It's possible he just wants to retire. But I hope not! A couple episodes ago he spoke with Gibbs about his will. Oh dear.
There's an episode in the first 2 or 3 years where Sasha Alexander's character asks Mark Harmon's "Gibbs" who Ducky looked like when he was younger. Gibbs says: "Illya Kuryakin." Of course, Alexander has never heard of this and just gives Gibbs a quizzical look. It was so amusing.
MCCALLUM STAYING! Just read that McCallum has signed another 2-year contract with NCIS and the series was renewed for a 10th year. Yeeeeaaaaaahhhh!
It must have been just an anxiety attack, heh? I've had them and they can feel like the real thing.

Anyone have a guess as to how House will end next week?
-
No, but I wish I didn't have to kiss House goodbye. I've had a tv crush on him forever. I keep thinking it would be so nice to have Wilson for an Onc.
I can't stop watching Nurse Jackie. And I, too, am not liking Game of Thrones as much this year. -
We don't get Nurse Jackie and I just love Edie.
You are so right about Wilson as a MO but I guess he's going to die. I think House will kill himself perhaps when Wilson dies? They seem to need each other...House has such pain can't see him lasting without him besides he is going back to jail for 6 months.
-
i'm really glad to hear about david mcallum "ducky" , Maya.. i never even thought to look for an article!!!im "waiting " for part 2 of that episode with bated breath, and am as glad as you are...
totally obsessed with ncis, now. have it dvred on hd , 2xs a week, and still catching up on the old ones...im sad to see that there's the new change coming up , i hate now, where they split the year.. im watching fairly legal, and the new one about the 2 detectives in therapy, can't remember the name right now, and also liking "awake" its actually getting better, i didn't know how they'd keep up the premise.. i must say, they did a bang up job!!and the new american gypsies adds to MY "viewing pleasure" haha 3jays

Am I the only one who was disappointed in the season finale of Grey's Anatomy? I thought the death scene would come at the end of the show after a whole lot of effort to save someone. Also, I am sorry that Lexie was the one to go because I wanted to see her and Mark together again next season.
-
Elizabeth.. I am soooooooo disappointed..I was sure they would get back together again. I really liked the character Lexie. Oh well....
Who was it that was doing all the screaming in the beginning at the crash site? It was really annoying and someone told them to shut up.
-
I am also disappointed that it was Lexie...not that I wanted it to be someone else either. Why do they have to have such a depressing finale...what is the matter with happiness!
Schatzi...if I remember correctly it was Derek making all that noise.
-
candie.. the screaming I meant was someone at the plane before Meredith and Christina found Derek and it was a female. Maybe I was snoozing LOL
-
I think Arizona was doing the screaming and Christina told her to stop. Also, didn't it seem strange that they were missing for so long before anyone thought to look for them? Separating conjoined twins is such a major operation and surely, the hospital in Boise would have to do a lot of setting up before they arrived. I cannot imagine the hospital not knowing exactly when the Seattle crew was coming and demanding answers immediately instead of leaving a voice mail for Owen.
-
Elizabeth...ya I found the whole thing to be a tad unrealistic...Arizona would never NOT call Callie if she could. To send a voice mail is ridiculous. I have to keep reminding myself it's just a story. LOL
-
Downton Abbey is a great show on PBS.... Breaking Bad, great, Dexter and Boardwalk Empire. Modern Family is the best comedy. Best talk is Bill Maher. Best late night (after Johnny Carson of course) is Letterman. Mad Men is really good and nostalgic too. Guilty pleasure is Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Apprentice and Housewives of Beverly Hills....
-
I watched the Series Finale of House, M.D. last night. I'd give Hugh Laurie an award just for doing the American accent for eight seasons.
-
I was very disappointed with the ending of House...predictable that he and Wilson would ride off into the sunset...Hugh's accent was amazing. Sounds funny hearing him without it.
-
bevg49...Yay! Another Breaking Bad fan. The more the better; it might take an army to bring it back for a sixth season. Or maybe it's better to stop "on top". I hope they never jump the shark. Can't wait for this season and don't know what the heck I'm going to watch when it's over.
-
i was dissappointed, too, to see them ride off, but his last words "cancer is boring".....really???
yay!! True Blood starts this wed!!!3jays
-
Add me to the list of Breaking Bad fans.
-
Hi Elizabeth. Seems like it's been years since the last season. Like watching the pot waiting for the water to boil. Ugh. Counting down.....
-
Hugh Laurie was on MI5 in the early days, so I was accustomed to his British accent. When he moved to House, I couldn't believe it was him!
-
I decided to watch "America's Got Talent" last night. Now that my regular shows are over, I thought I would try it. I liked it!
-
Just watched the season finallie of House.I thought it was well done. I am also waiting for the next season of Breaking Bad.
-
Only 40 more sleeps until Breaking Bad! Actually 41 for me, because I can't stand commercial interruption so I'm going to have to DVR it.
-
I am not going to even bother watching the Game of Thrones episodes I fell asleep during and for sure am not going to watch it next year. The lst season I loved, it was what got me to read the books and the lst season really did follow the book. The second season, NOT.....I was always calling up my pal, Kathy who had also read them asking Did that happen in the book and I forgot? and she would say No, that didn't happen in the book....then she would call and ask me something. Well, I tell you they never stole the dragons in the book and the ending last night, that was not part of the book. And it wasn't as if it was not a good story, but I think they felt the need to add more sex to it or something and I swear I do not recall them using F.... all the time....did they even say that in midevil times? Nurse Jackie and The Big C are still two of my favoirite shows and next week True Blood comes back on and also I am looking forward to watching that new series about the news anchorman....it looks like it will be a good one. Why do they put all these shows on Sunday night is my question? For awhile there I was flipping back from forth from Desperate HW's, Game of Thrones, Nurse Jackie and The Big C....and Shameless when it was on. Stopped watching DHWs a year or so ago, but since this was the last season, I wanted to see how they were going to end it. Like to watch The Good Wife when I remember it's on.
-
If anybody would like to see all 18 episodes of Breaking Bad, AMC is running them all again beginning this coming Sunday, June 10.
The Pilot begins late night, actually Monday morning, the 11th at 3:12 a.m. I've set my DVR to record the series & am waiting patiently (??) for the new season to begin July 15.
So, if you'd like to enjoy a show that is exceptionally written with great acting, this is the time to see it from the beginning.
Marybe, I agree with you about Game of Thrones. I have found myself fast forwarding through much of this season. I don't like it that they are not following the books anymore. The books are much, much better. I only watch certain characters, Tyrion for number one. And, mean Joffrey & his b-y-otch of a mother, Cersei. I don't know why they think adding more sex & the F-word will make it better, do they think it will add more viewers when they change it from the book so much? Like I said, I've probably fastforwarded through as much as I've actually watched.
And, why in the world are most of the good shows on Sunday night?! Good Q, Marybe! And, they've moved Revenge to Sunday, up against The Good Wife. I missed most of Desperate Housewives because I record The Good Wife & when hockey season is in full-swing, I'm watching my Red Wings. Can only watch one show while recording another unless I buy another DVR, which I will not do. So, I will miss most of Revenge, darn them!!!
Falling Skies starts Father's Day!! And, I'm going to check out that Newsroom show, also, on the 24th. I'm even going to drop in on the "New" Dallas next week. Might be fun!
-
Valjean, did you see the new poster for Season Five?

Cracked me up!
(wow, my math was way off in my previous post....so many more sleeps!)
