Movie Quote Trivia

I didn't know there was an older version of Repo Men....cool....gonna have to look that up.
Don't know this one....hint please?
-
the older version is called Repo Man and stars Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton. It's totally different than Repo Men.
Hint - older children movie, comes on TV once every year, think snow/christmas.
-
Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
"My name is Kobayashi. I work for Keyser Soze".
I remember watching Repo MAN....didn't care for that one.
-
Usual Suspects - our FAVORITE movie of all-time. My DH quotes it with alarming frequency.
"I love you, Harry. You make me feel like a person. Like I'm me... and I'm beautiful."
-
I must admit, I needed help on this one. 1st thought it was when Harry met Sally but I have seen that movie over and over, this one I think is
Requiem for a Dream
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
-
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
"Danbury wasn't a prison, it was a crime school. I went in with a Bachelor of marijuana, came out with a Doctorate of cocaine".
Nancy, Keyser Soze get's thrown around our house a lot too!
I used to love Johnny Depp movies, but he's made some questionable choices lately, like that "Tourist" junk...I could barely sit through that one. Doesn't look like the new one got very good reviews either. He's lost my attention lately.
-
Speaking of Depp - "Blow." Another favorite around here (could Penelope Cruz have *been* any thinner?)
"If anything should happen to me... make sure Annette gets the car."
-
I know...hey? Skin and bones.
Donnie Brasco
"I think if people see this footage, they'll say 'Oh, my God, that's horrible', and then they'll go on eating their dinners".
-
Hotel Rwanda
Speaking of Depp, can't wait to see him in the Dark Shadows "Barnabus Collins" role. I loved the old Dark Shadows soap and would watch it every afternoon after school. I lived just 1/2 hour drive from the mansion they used in the "real" outdoor shots of "Collinswood".
"You got it Allison. You got it raw!"
-
Cry Baby - The only other musical I've ever seen except for the Sound Of Music, which my mom made me watch with her over and over and over....uugghh
One more with JD
"The light concealing cream goes on first. Then you blend, and blend, and blend. Blending is the secret".
-
Edward Scissorhands! :-) I actually knew that one cold! I'm looking forward to DS. The collaborations between JD and Tim Burton are always sublime. And oh goodness gracie, my mother made me see Sound of Music every year when it came to the theatre. The Germans are invading - let's sing and dance! :-)
"Observe, Lord Burghley, I am married... to England."
-
I know, such a dumb movie. Doubt I'd like it even if it hadn't been rammed down my throat.
Elizabeth - she is my favourite actress.
"The one ring to rule them all".
-
Geez, what was I thinking. That one's way too simple. Here's another.
"Of course you're having trouble reaching him. He's off saving the rain forest, or recycling his sandals or some sh*t".
-
All together now......"I am sixteen going on seventeen, I know that I'm naive, Fellows I meet may tell me I'm sweet, And willingly I believe"
"The hills are alive with the sound of music, With songs they have sung for a thousand years"
I am a victim too. I even still have the LP my mother bought all those years ago and we had to see the movie too.
Answer: Con Air
"I don't think we're in the food chain anymore, Dorothy"
-
Cleaning the bookshelf today I found the hard-cover souvenier program book that my mother purchased on the opening day of "The Sound of Music." It's filled with still shots from the movie, as well as explanations of different scenes and songs. I remember that she'd show us the book when we were kids, but never let us touch it lest it be damaged. Maybe I should use it to start the summer bonfire, hmm?
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
"I can't seem to stop singing wherever I am. And what's worse, I can't seem to stop saying things - anything and everything I think and feel."
No, nevermind, too easy. Let's try this:
"You know, pretending to be a man does have its disadvantages."
-
I've got that same book!....all wrapped in plastic. For as much as I hated the movie, I love keeping that book around as a reminder of how much I loved my mom. She loved it so, rest her beautiful soul.
Victor, Victoria
"Now, the next part is very important: They're going to take you".
-
Hmmm, I copied and pasted that quote and for some reason part of it showed up in italics. Weird glitch.
-
Taken
"Oh I'm going to hell for sure. Here he is, talking about his dead mother and I can't help wishng his hands were unbuttoning my dress"
-
Mermaids
"Oh, great. Valium. Not only will we be able to go to sleep, if we get attacked in the middle of the night, we won't even care".
-
just saw this movie on Netflix - 28 Days Later
"Live on national TV? Jesus Harold Christ on a f-cking rubber crutch, is this happening to me?"
-
Natural Born Killers (I think)
"Swing away Merrill. Merrill... swing away".
-
Signs.
"Well, there are all manner of lesser imps and demons, Pete, but the great Satan hisself is red and scaly with a bifurcated tail, and he carries a hay fork."
-
O Brother Where Art Thou
"If you were truly guilty, there are a hundred prisons in France where they would lock you away. But Chateau d'If is where they put the ones they're ashamed of".
-
The Count of Monte Cristo
"Dude, she's like 13. Finally!"
-
I didn't know this one at all so I had to cheat.
Drowning Mona
"Don't worry Wilson. I'll do the paddling. You just hang on".
or
"Wilson! (glub, glub) I'm sorry Wilson! (glub, glub) I'm sorry Wilson! (glub, glub)
-
Cast Away.
"She thinks she is a character in a book. She thinks I'm a character in a book. She even thinks my mother is a character in a book. The woman is crazy!"
-
I don't want to cheat again. May I have a hint?
-
JoBeth Williams & Tom Conti...
-
thanks for hint, American Dreamer
"I shall calll him Squishy, and he shall be mine. And he shall be my Squishy. Ouch!!! Bad Squishy!!! Bad!"
-
Finding Nemo
Should I feel stupid that I've seen this movie like 4 times? I love it.
"Who wants to be a mill-u-naire?".
