AMERICAN IDOL....Season 11

Agree....the song choice...wasn't good.
But he is yummy ♥ for a son......
DD's are taken so i can't call him FSIL.
-
Going with Randy on this, PP follows his own drummer in all he does, and he did it well. I like the accompanists he chooses to play with him, those girls were FINE, loved them both and gave the song such depth.
-
Not sure this song is a good move for Hol...
Looks like the judges think that's just right for her.
-
I really liked Hollie ♥
-
Hollie: that song is not one that needs to be shouted.
-
Hey I'm popping in for a minute. I loved Skylar tonight both songs and Hollie just blew her last song out of the water. Jessica was boring tonight and I didn't like PPs last song yuck! Lived Elises songs both if them. I didn't like Joshuas songs. He just does nothing for me
-
Hollie actually did well! Surprise! I think Joshua or Elise is going tomorrow.
-
Rosa we may get a surprise and it could be Jessica again.
-
That was very good! Loved the song.... So some of the lyrics....

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going
And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah! -
Seaside it's one of my favorite songs by Mylie Cyrus
-
At this point, who knows how the votes will fall....VFTW's choice is P. P.
Bye for now....
J -
Love you Steven, Skylar is definitely ready for the finalist position, mimi, I think you may be right, it could be Jessica again or Elise going. Nice watching with you ladies, meet you here again tomorrow. ps, Hollie definitely redeemed herself, it is a beautiful song and she sang it with such emotion and she did connect, I thought she connected with her first song too.
-
See u ladies later gotta get ready for work.
-
Mimi,
Glad you popped in! And yes, the lyrics of that song does, for me, describe some of what i've been through.... In that it's not reaching the destination... Its in the journey (or climb) that we grow! -
I did online voting for 2
PP
Skylar
♥
Nice to see you Renee. good luck with your job♥
-
See you all tomorrow night. Really nice watching the show together.

-
I liked PP last song and I am sort of weird so that makes sense.

I did not like Bohemian Rhapsody tonight. Jessica was just wrong for it. Holly was hard to hear for the first half of her Queen song. Holly did much better in her last song.
I am not a fan of country, I do like some country songs.
I am liking PP best at this point.
I recorded so I can fast forward through the yakkity yak.
Ginger
-
Gingerbrew,
You aren't weird "well" when it comes to PP.

-
This doesn't make any sense

-
I haven't watched yet but went ahead and read through all the comments - we watch as a family but get a lot of "feedback" (i.e. interrupting) from the kids so it makes me want to go ahead and watch it by myself today without telling them!
-
I love Elise....think she is very talented. But, has anyone else noticed that she has a crappy personality? I think that will do her in.

-
I laughed when the kids had their sit down with Queen members. I'm sure most of them had no idea who they were and they looked old enough to be the kid's grandfathers ! ! ! ! I love Joshua but I don't think he'll win. I am thinking it will come down to Skylar and Phil.
-
Annie bear, I agree with you wholeheartedly.
-
MEDLEY OF QUEEN SONGS WITH ORIGINAL BAND MEMBERS
Hated it! They all sounded like high school talent show night contenders. "Freddie Mercury would be proud?" ERG! I don't think so!
QUEEN SONGS
JESSICA - awful
JOSHUA - screamer!.....looked like he got lost in the middle of stage moves....("uhhhh, what should I do next?") I'm getting sick of the standing ovations from the judges on EVERY SINGLE SONG HE DOES!!!!
HOLLIE - OMG, who dressed her like Hillary Clinton? So - she sings a sad song, and JLo wants her to smile more and have fun with it? DUH.
ELISE - In her element, but her personality is getting on my nerves.....always kind of PMS-y.
SKYLAR - Best of the bunch - really liked her "out of her element"
PHILLIP - a safe choice, sounded like every single other song he singszzzzzzzz.....
~~~~~~~
CONTESTANT'S CHOICE
JESSICA - really, really good!
HOLLIE - Nice job, looked her age, "good song choice" ("younger")
JOSHUA - Now THAT's the type of song he should stick to! Does anyone else notice that he seems a bit, uh, out of it after he sings? Like he's all Valiumed out and isn't really paying attention to either the judges or Ryan when he's talking to him at the end?
ELISE - really chanced it with a Jimmie Hendrix song no one recognized.....HOWEVER, the guitar player from her band that was on stage with her was amazing!
SKYLAR - really needs to avoid songs with lyrics in the low registers. She just fades away. But the higher notes and the big choruses always save her! Her confidence makes her a joy to watch.
PHILLIP - reminds me so much of Casey, glad he's sticking to his principles and not changing who he is, but I wouldn't buy a ticket to watch him in concert. Would America?
~~~~~~~~~~~
I think that AI is a double-edged sword. Of course, there's the celebrity aspect of it.....and the money that comes from whatever the prize is, but I think there are also a million restrictions that go along with it, and most of these contestants would be better off with record contracts that let them be who they are instead of just a puppet for AI.
DH and I think that waaaaay before the final show, deals have already been made, and ultimately, voting aside, it's the producer's decision who will ultimately make the best American Idol.
So at this point, I'm really not too concerned about the six remaining contestants. They're all good enough to fill a niche somewhere, and get recording contracts with someone.
-
Thanks once again for the great summary of the night, Blessings! I always look forward to reading your post the day after!!
So, ladies.... Who do you think is safe and who are your picks for the bottom 3?
I think, for me bottom 3 will be Elise (Ok, so that's been most weeks), Joshua, and I fear PP may find himself there as well.... In the end, I think it will be Elise who goes.... But, as all who post here know, my track record in accuracy is about zero....lol.....
See you all in 10..... -
I too am afraid for PP, others - jessica and elise. If PP makes it through and is not in the bottom 3, I pick him as 1 of the last 2 standing.Off course I am biased. I think Hollie will escape the bottom 3 tonight, we'll see.
-
Internet is fixed...........

Yes Blessings...I enjoy reading your summary........
Elise hollie and Jessica will be at the bottom 3........Not sure who will be going home.....
-
-
Stefano is precious!
-
Yay Sheila on the fixed internet.... I'm thinking maybe with your last post that you may know something we don't know?
