We had wind, wind and more wind.  My allergies are horrible!  Just a minor sprinkle here and there, but not measurable.

This past weekend we had lows in the teens and highs barely out of the 30's. snow flurries off and on and off and on all day Saturday. The low temps are going to continue through the middle of the week and possibly through the weekend. We are expecting more snow late tonight into tomorrow morning but no accumulation, only messed up road conditions in the morning.

Yesterday it was drizzly, but around noon the temp rapidly dropped and we had a short bout of hail, then back up in to the high 50s.  Just another crazy day the weather guessers were not expecting.

Yesterday we had a very cold morning.  DH had left my car out on the driveway.  The windows were completely frozen.  Since this is California, we don't have the ice scrapers for our cars so I went and turned the hose on it.  Looked like it workd well, the windshield was nice and clear.  By the time I turned the water off and got back to the car, the ice had formed on the window again.  So I tried squirting the windshield fluid but the tubes were frozen.  I watered down the windshield twice before the defroster finally heated the window enough to clear my view.

Meece--oh, dear, I have to chuckle at your story!  I'm sure that doesn't happen very often in California!  Next time, try pouring rubbing alcohol on the ice--it will melt it and and it won't re-freeze as quickly since the alcohol has a much lower freezing point.  It's a common thing to see a squiret bottle full of alcohol in someone's purse or bag, we use it to thaw frozen door locks.  You'll also see us outside with hair dryers attached to extension cords blow drying/thawing our windows and door frames sometimes!  Such fun!

Mid 60s here today.  Beautiful sharp clear sky.  it makes driving at sunrise and sunset difficult.  Not used to such clean clear air!

here in NOVA (northern virginia) we are having a mild winter, was sunny today, high today 46, tomorrow 54, the possible snow on Sunday, though I always doubt that when they tell us this.  Would like to have a bit of snow.  Moved here from TX and though I loved the winters there, the summers were brutal and do not miss them!  I perfer Spring and Fall weather, not too ho and not too coldSealed

Here in NC we also have had a very mild winter. Last saturday we had snow showers off and on all day but no accumulation. The county I live in covers both mountain area as well as the foothills (greater) area so the weather is divided into two regions. Tomorrow the upper Caldwell region is under a winter storm advisory for snow but the greater Caldwell region (where I live) is not under the winter storm advisory only expecting rain. It can get confusing when they do put out winter weather advisories.

    SPRING TIME IN NEW YORK.

In January and February? I'm loving it, but we can still have major snow storms. I hope we do just to feel more normal. Last year by this time we had major storm after major storm. I can't remember the exact amount of snow we had last winter, but it was way over the average snow fall. We had over 3 feet of snow in early spring last year. YUK. caused a lot of MAJOR flooding in the No. East when it melted in just a week or so. All the rivers severly swelled.

Lets hope its just the weather system passing  'hot air.'

We had a great day yesterday.  We were out at the Home Show all day and I only put my jacket on once the sun went down.

The county I live in has three major regions, the valley, mountain and high desert.

Yesterday evening we had a few sprinkles but today was actually nicer.  It never got cold enough for coats.

Tomorrow I can't decide what to do.  DH is heading to a conference in Sac, so I will be home alone.  If it's nice, I will play outside in the greenhouse, if bad weather, the house gets worked on.

I didn't post yesterday but, we started out with rain and dropping temps by 2 pm it was rain mixed with sleet, by 3 pm it was rain mixed with snow, by 4 pm it was total snow and it snowed off and on until about 7 pm. slight accumulation but no measurable snow. My hubby is a trucker and decided that he didn't want to leave the house at 4 am to drive to his truck 45 miles away then go to Charlotte for the delivery this morning because of possible bad road conditions at night, so he left the house at 8 pm last night and spent the night in the truck. This morning they are saying there is possible black ice on roads and bridges in the area. This morning it is sunny and temp is about 30 but calling for temp in mid 50's as high.

It sounds like your DH is a conscientious driver and will take it easy on the roads today.

We woke up at 4 this morning. DH ask if it was raining outside.  I looked outs=the front of the house and it was dry as a bone, but in our bedroom it definitely sounded as if it were raining.  The neighbor to our back hasw a broken sprinkler and it was shooting up and flooding our backard!

He tries to be careful looking out for the other drivers who might not be as careful as he is. He told one of the other drivers who was in Culpeper VA Saturday that this storm was coming in and to be careful Sunday when the snow was expected to hit and he was on his way back to NC. His friend sent him a picture of the roads yesterday in VA covered with snow and Donald was glad he was not there this weekend (He was at that location last weekend).

It does. My hubby said that I can't watch 'Ice Road Truckers' or the other hazardous trucking shows. When I see bad accidents on the news I try not to watch to see what happened.

Monday was pretty darn chilly.  W also had some rain, not a lot, but some.  The Grapevine was shut down for snow for a time.  Some of our customers in the higher elevations got a foot of snow.  I forgot to take my coat to work with me and I was freezing at lunch.

We may get to 60 today and we have a 40% chance of rain this afternoon and evening.  We need every bit we can get.

We've begun the day with freezing rain, now it's 34 degrees so just rain.  We're supposed to get in the low fifties today, 40 tomorrow and close to 60 on Friday, then the upper 30's on the weekend.  Ahhh, life in Michigan.  It's been a wonderfully mild winter though (KNOCK WOOD) - it isn't over but it's been nice so far.
