Can I ask what protocol they had you on and what happened that it is not working for your body? I have heard this and just curious to see if it happened after a few rounds as it is progression in the sickness aspect. Hang tough and knoow you are not alone and here is the best support ever!!!Ebban's links and info will be so beneficial for you at this challenging time. Hugs@!

DonnaDio:Ebann has been a great friend to me, I've gone to meet some of the other ladies too and they are all just wonderful people. I'm not doing any treatment at all except for the surgery so far. From what I've been told so far I already have mets to the lungs and sternum so tomorrow I'll have to see if there's anything I can do that won't make me really sick. I've had Methotrexate/Venchristine and then Cisplatnum/Adromyacin when I was fifteen along with the leg amputation and I've been told that I can't have any of them again because of the damage that it caused my body before. The last onco I had actually told me that I was going to die and no amount of chemo would stop that. He was really an ass, that's why I've agreed to see Ebenn's onco tomorrow.
-
Cindy.....Got it. It is not an easy journey and to complicate it having an ass to deal with, during such a time!!!Shame on him as there is no way a human will can be measured or miracles that come out of no where and any disease can turn around and have no idea what happened... seen it !!!!!Most do live in their medical journals and stats and have no real side of human hands on as they just don't know how to!There are though Dr's that have both and it sounds like ebann and the group here has gotton you that connection!!!!!
KEEP up the spirit as you have, and do not underestimate the power of nutrition, walks, meditating and doin what YOU know is RIGHT for YOU as you are!!!!!No DR can. I am on a natural bioidentical hormones and everyone (not all Dr's.I have found, are as I am seeing them).. are so against being anything that is not in their medical books.. and i look at quality of lfe today since breast cancer and you are goin to do what you know is right for you too!!!!
Wish I was closer to you, as I live in Tucson. Praying for your appt tomm and know it is goin to be a informative and positive one. Your husband (DH) sounds wonderful for the support also and that is so important! Be strong and stay faithful to what you need for you and your journey.

I did like Dr Ondreyco very much. She's sending me to a lung specialist, having another ultrasound on my left arm, getting copies of the ct scan and took blood today to check my cancer markers. She said that whatever is in my lymph nodes and lungs could be related but might not be cancer, I have another appointment with her on the 9th.She did ask a lot of questions and wanted to hear what I have to say which made me very comfortable with seeing her. Just from how she was with me today I'm more comfortable with hearing about whatever treatments she thinks would be right for me. We'll have to do lunch again ebann, this time my treat.cin

cindy rose.... So glad the appt went as well as it did and know you are satisfied with the direction she is taking you!!! IT just shows how second or third opinions etc are impt and goin with your gut on not being satisifed with a Dr,!!
have a nice weekend to all.

Hi everyone,
Hope all is doing well. Cindy I am so happy that you are pleased with Dr. Ondreyco. It really makes a difference when you know that someone is passionate and cares about what is going on with you. Cindy I will take you up on that lunch someday. Right now I am taking care of my dog Peggy sue she had her eye removed cause she was diagnosis with glaucoma. She is doing better today. I had to take her in to the Dr. today cause she was experiencing pain. I am staying home with her this week.
Donna hope all is going well with you. Yes I agree with you that the quality of life is very important. I live each day to the fullest. I can only make this happen along with God. I just have to take the time to listen. It does make a big difference in who you see and how you feel about your Dr.'s. Next weekend is an exciting weekend. I get my granddaughter Aubrey. It is my daughter's anniversary. So I am sending them away for the weekend and trading them for time with Aubrey. What a deal. Now grandma time is the greatest joy to me.
I got my insurance approval on my pet scan which is hopefully scheduled this week. I see Ondreyco next week to get the results. I am prayer for complete healing. That would be so awesome.
Planning on February to meet up for coffee. It is a simple get together. Time for us to get to know one another and enjoy a few laughs.

Also can you please send me some days of the week that you can get

easy since a lot of ladies like to spend the weekend with there families. Also I
know during the week can be hard cause you are working and are tired at the end
of the day. Can you please give me some input.
Thank you

Hello Ladies,
I hope everything is going well with everyone. I am doing good especially on the weeks I do not have chemo than the weeks I do have chemo. But it is not that bad. This mild compared what I went through in 2008. Thank goodness. I have been enjoying time with my granddaughter Aubrey. She is such a cutie. Just melts her grandpa's heart. I try to take her on the weekend I do not have chemo. I am looking at getting together in April for lunch or dinner. Checking to see what is good with the Tucson ladies. Keep checking on the boards and let a message and let's us know how you are. I do not have your emails or numbers. If you would like to share that with me. You can just PM that information. A address is nice too. Only this group has them. It is a great way to keep in touch or send someone a card if they need some encouragement.

My Granddaughter Aubrey

oh Ebann she is just precious!!

Too cute for words ebann. I wanted to let you know that I'm having the biopsy on the 29th of this month. Hopefully it will all go as planned and I'm trying to keep a good attitude. I'll need to stay in the hospital for the better part of a week to re-inflate my left lung , the surgeon needs to deflate it to get to the lymph nodes. I'm looking at it as a little vacation where I'll be waited on and cared for and fed chocolate pudding till I could burst. Hope everyone is doing well.cin
-
Cindy Rose sorry for the late response. I hope everything goes well with the biopsy. I wish you the best with your lungs. Does not sound like fun at all.
I am doing good. Start a new chemo tomorrow. Going on ixpemra part of the cytoxin family. So we will see how this goes. I have done good with the other one I was on but my body has grown immune to it. Been enjoying my time with my granddaughter Aubrey. Time with her is just precious. These time you treasure the most.
Thanks for the update

Has anyone heard from Cindy? I haven't and hope everything is going smoothly. Thanks Ginger
-
Have any of you met CIndy? I am wishing there was a way to check in on her.I know she was concerned about how they needed to do this biopsy.
Thanks Gingerbrew
-
Gingerbrew, Yes I have met Cindy twice now. We met once for lunch. Just getting aquainted and sharing our stories. We met at the Christmas Ornament Exchange along with her mother. I have talked with Rick on occassions. I have not called lately I know she told me it talks a lot for her to even talk. I think about her and only wish the best for her in the decisions she has made. If I do talk to her or Rick I will update you. Thanks for checking in Gingerbrew.
((hug)) Elizabeth

I was checking because the 29th was the day for the biopsy. It involved deflating her lung to do the operation. We pm'd a few times. I have been praying for her smooth recovery from the biopsy. I understand about the rest and believe she was going to do the biopsy for her families peace of mind.
Thanks for responding.
Hugs Ginger

From Cindy's sister Elaine who gave permission to repost.
"I just talked to Rick, the scans before the surgery showed Cindy's lungs had improved & the lymph node was normal. Rick said, So everything looks fine and you're still going to operate and take out pieces of organs? The doc said, yes. The surgery went well, the doc took a piece from the top and from the bottom of her lung & I think the lymph node, too. She said they were pink and looked completely healthy. Pathology results back: clean! So the samples are being sent to the Mayo clinic for further evaluation. And, Cindy is coming home this evening around 5pm, her time.
I haven't talked with Cindy since early last week -Rick said she wasn't up to it in the hospital, but he talked with me. I never dreamed you all weren't being kept in the loop, too. I am so, so sorry.
I hope this eases your mind & feel free to contact me anytime. I know Cindy cares deeply for you.
Kind Regards,
Elaine" -
Eric95us and slawson are in Peoria

Cindy Rose (Eliane) Thank you for the updated status on Cindy. That is good news. I know Ondreyco was not sure if it was cancer as well. I am glad she went to get the biopsy done. That was important and probably a relief to Cindy it is not cancer. I am sorry about her lungs and all that is going on with them. I am sure when having a hard time to breath is difficult. Give Cindy or love and blessings.
Eric95us/slawson. I live in Glendale not far from you. Some other ladies live in this area as well. Are you going to be able to come to our meet up on the 25th? It would be very nice to meet you. We are a great bunch of ladies. Our time is very special to us. So far we have four attending. Thank you for getting in touch with us. We do our best to meet up each month.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, as of right now it's on my calender.cin
