I wanna be a demonstrator - at the National Convention - AND, yes, Blue there are those folks.  I was just thinking of that wonderful old ( very old) NYPost Editorial ;"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" well, there really are "Survivalists" - there are special stores to buy the stuff.  And as scoot knows, it's all dehydrated.  NOW, adding tequila to that - we do have a genuis amongst us.  I'm gonna get a big basket for my scooter...hope it doesn't medd with the sparkly dangly thingies on the handles

Years and more ago, I was in the Colorado hills - doining this & that - and I MET many people who were, and I expect still are "Survivalists" -  this was in the late 1980's  - and I'll bet there are even more now.

I cannot imagine being one of the few folks left after a major calamity or holocaust, and having to use a gun to defend my stash of food and water from my neighbours.  Frankly, I'd rather be dead.  So Scoot, sorry hon, not interested in either your dehydrated water or tequila-:)

It's raining again - no let up. Still, I like it except my washing is probably not dry (hung under the front of the house)

Did all the shopping this morning - now I'm pooped. Steve was gloating over political crap in the news and didn't help me carry the bags upstairs - ratbag.

I enjoyed my day off yesterday - I met up with my friend from the bus who had her mx last year. She's going back to work soon, so I did want to see how she was. She now catches a different bus and it was good to see she's recovered from the implant surgery and reduction surgery on the other boob. Boy am I glad I didn't have to go down that path.

Miss Poppy is quite out of sorts due to the wet weather - she's been hiding all morning until I came home and she realised the can opener was back :)

Ratbag?  Hahaha.  That sounds like something you'd kick to get your point across to a man.  Right in the ratbag.

    Morning Friends!

It's going to be a beautiful day with a high of 61 .. and the wind has died down!  Yay!  I won't have to freeze while walking the dogs today.

Susie .. I've heard of rat bastard before .. just not ratbag!  Too funny, but he should have helped you with the groceries.

Scoot ... Count me in on your latest scheme!

Hope everyone has a great day,

    Bren

Scootaloo, yesterday at the onc's office I was waiting for the scheduler to give me my appointment cards. He was typing furiously at scrunching his face at the computer screen (which was turned so I could not see it) and then he said, "I gotta screenshot this" and stood up and walked away for a minute... When he came back, I asked what did you do? (emphatically). He said, oh - just needed a print out so I knew I was scheduling your appointments right.

BUMMER! Thought for a minute there that I was about to witness something awesome, mind boggling, and enlightening.

Oh well, chuckled on the way home.

Scootaloo - what mischief are you up to? Selling unborn babies as soft drink??

Shaking mosquitoes off head, looking around, tail curled up, rubbing heads with (pride) thread mates. Glad to be home.

[[Oh, if you folks knew about my adventures. Imagine something like this storyline from the film "The Last Lions": My mate was killed by invading males, there was a forest fire, and I was forced to flee to an island after a rival pride almost killed me. Then I had to learn how to hunt buffalo all by myself because that was the only big game on the island. Metaphorically, that has been me over the past few weeks.]]

But at least I'm not involved in pyramid schemes! Tongue out I will be even more outraged if the "guv'ment" regulates it, though. Citizens should be allowed to do what they want and if it's against God, well I can come with my posse and shoot ya!

I was less outraged at Jan Brewer's finger (because pictures can capture moments) than the bravado in her explanation. She should show more respect to her commander-in-chief.

The republican primaries are like a soap opera at this point. I don't think anything will be resolved even once there is a nominee. The party is hopelessly divided and adrift, even if there are elements who are stalwarts in their views.

Good to see you back Lioness. What a trip!?!

Scoot - just a question? Was I screenshotted, or was it someone else? And did it hurt?

Nope, screenshots don't hurt at all.  It's a hollow threat, but the only one I have since I'm a non-violent person.

I recently screen-shotted two of my doctors who refused to prescribe scream cream for me!  UGH!  Their screenshots are still hanging on my wall.  *muttering darkly*

Tequila  - thanks Blue.  What a wonderfl giggle....

The Lioness is back - ooooohhhhhh....doesn't sound good - hope all your fur is back in place and shiny bright and healthy ( inside & out) - I was kinda hoping you may have been in AZ eating pointed fingers!! Probably delicious dipped in dehydrated Tequila - we gotta get our prodution lines started to be ready for all those exiting the Polls on Tuesday...

there was a lota talk about scream cream on another thread - wonder if it's available online?  Maybe we could add it to the product list - thought the name was a joke, but honest, it is really called scream cream...

SunflowersMA The scream cream is prescription. The stuff on the Internet is different. I just need to get my nerve up to tell my Onc. about it!Embarassed

CherrylH There is a long thread about it. It started on the stage 1V thread. Have fun learning about it!

SO good to see you back Athena - (((((((HUGS))))))

I told Steve that I called him a ratbag - it is an Aussie expression apparently - now you can all use it on your husbands or anyone you don't like :)

Didn't feel well yesterday, my heart was fluttery again. Will ask the onc about it when I see him next in March. Last time I asked he said it was the Arimidex. Luckily it doesn't happen often. I went to bed at 8:30 and slept until 5am, so it was a good rest.

Still raining over night - I'm dreading the humidity when it stops.

Leg of lamb was on special yesterday, so roast for dinner tonight. Hope it isn't too hot today or I'll regret that decision.

    Have a lovely weekend girls

    Sue

I have this stupid "ditty" running through my brain - "I scream, you scream, we all scream, for Scream Cream". I know, it is supposed to say Ice Cream! Anyways girls, this stuff works! Must get the prescription compounded formula, not the one you can order on the net. Good discussion on IV forum as was pointed out earlier.

SusieQ, if it was not so far, I'd be there for dinner, I love leg of lamb!

Scuttlers - mine is very special. I cut slits in the meat and stuff fresh rosemary in them, then paint the top with garlic infused olive oil, so some of the oil runs down in the slits. We have roasted pumpkin and red sweet potato and green beans with it. For gravy, I use a prepackaged liquid gravy with rosemary in it - totally yummy. You're welcome any time :)

LOL - sorry girls - this one cost $19 - a big one - only $9 a kilo. We can pay up to $30 for one that size normally. I never used to cook it that way, I just had an inspiration one day and tried it - never went back.

Just bought some new sheets, got home and relaised they were sateen - I hate that sort. So much for feeling the fabric in the store. Now I'll take them back, but look for some others at a different store on the way there.

Still raining...... pool needs draining AGAIN!!!
