Linda...Do you have a GD named Shelby?
Are you having pre senior moment?
-
LOL no, DS's GF is SHelby. I think Dianes GD is cuter!
Good night, really!
-
Diane...Why did you take a GP class?
Well...maybe her mother can move in with her for a while.
You take care of yourself...Babies will grow up they become teenagers then more problems .......sorry to mothers with teenage kids

-
Makratz.........................were you sneaking my Vodka when I wasn't looking......................good heavens, is nothing sacred anymore..................................hmmmmmmmmmm, gotta put a lock on that liquor cabinet..................................... -
Sorry about the facebook comment - people just don't think about what they are posting, do they? Hope she will let you help her - maybe she thinks you're busy with the house? Hope the treatments help DD to get better fast.
I could sit still - it's what I do best - but there are so many things that need to be done that aren't getting done... DD still hurts from her surgery. DS does some things happily and grumbles about others. DH says he's going to do things and then doesn't. Or does only half - leaving the hard part undone. So I did the easy part so he might do the hard part - I don't think he did anything. I just hope nothing worse happens to me - can't count on these people to pick up the slack.
So is it me? I had surgery Thursday. Saturday, DD had a concert. DH took his parents for haircuts and then brought them to our house to have Subway for lunch and then we went over to the concert. THEN he brought them to our house for the afternoon and pizza supper. Do you think maybe I might have wanted to lie down in peace? I was supposed to elevate my leg 23 hrs a day for 3 days. Not only did I have to try to figure out how to bathe without putting my leg in the tub - which took me about an hour - but I had to fight with my kids to get them to pick up the kitchen before the grandparents came over for lunch. I had told DH the kitchen would need to be cleaned up and he didn't do it. I don't know what is wrong with him. And I don't know why when I have a medical thing going on, he all of a sudden needs to invite his family over. The day of my first chemo tx (which I went alone to - having supportive family and all), I came home and had to clean the bathroom because his brother and new wife were coming over. Granted, they were bringing leftovers from the wedding - which was nice, but I didn't really want them - didn't know how they had been kept(Sat- Mon) and didn't want to get sick - post chemo and all - but really? WTH? Is it me or is that bizarre? I'm surprised he didn't have his whole family over after my lumpectomy/snb...
-
chris...You need to go on a strike sit and do nothing.
Maybe your DH gets nervous when you are not feeling good and invites his family.
i hope they are good to you.
Let us know. We didn't slap anybody for a long time LOL
Good Night All♥
-
Yes, Ducky, any unlocked vodka is up for grabs!
Chris, you should do a do-ovver. Start your 3 days today. Sit for 23 hrs a day and let the house fall apart. It's time to take care of you. If he invited people over, maybe they will clean your place up a llittle bit to help you out!
-
LOL - no - these people need help doing things - they aren't in a position to do any helping. I was particularly miffed when I had to try to clean up the bathroom when I went to use it - pee on the toilet (MIL can't get off our toilet) and one time there was what looked like water on the floor in front of the toilet - clogged and plunged and water spilled, maybe? Who knows. But that is what I had to deal with - on top of my own difficulty getting on and off the toilet. Discovered I could reach forward and pull on the sink to try to get up if I had to. I've figured it out now - how to get up from various positions - but at that time, I hadn't figured it out yet. So having to stand on one foot, balancing myself while I had to wipe up the floor and/or toilet seat annoyed me.
If anyone feels like slapping, slap away.
If I let the house fall apart - it will just be more work for me later. Plus I have my parents over for xmas now - so I have to try to figure that out. I can't trust my family to do anything that needs to be done - when it should be done - so I'd better have a plan. Going to see if I can find a place where I can get a cooked turkey. I don't want to try to get DH to help me. I can't even get him to discuss what we should get our kids for xmas. Duh - it's in a week and it's almost too late to order things and get them in time.
And he didn't clean up what I left in the kitchen last night. And DS wanted to have a friend over after school today. DH knows I don't like the house to be a mess when people come over. (Or ever, really - but especially when people come over) This house is such a dump.
Thanks for letting me vent.
Crawled down to the basement today to do laundry. And got out the xmas paper to maybe wrap some presents. But I'll have to bring some down 2 flights to wrap them. I'd better be burning some calories schlepping myself all over the place like this. It's exhausting and I sweat like crazy. Dripping sweat - so I've got some hormone thing going on - levels must be low or something...I don't think I should be sweating this much. Woe is me. lol
-
Looks like cooked turkeys are very expensive - guess I'll just have to fight with dh. Maybe I'll cook it on xmas eve and warm it up on xmas so I don't have to fuss with it all day. or maybe stick it in the oven first thing on xmas so it will be done early. STill don't know what to do about how long it takes for the thigh to reach 180. What do you do? Do you cook it 'til the thigh is 180? I've seen all sorts of things online - some people only cook it to 170.
-
chris... Just reading your posts i got tired. ((No no I didn't mean i'm sick and tired reading your posts) You need to take care of yourself chris♥
butterball used to have that temp popping turkey when it's ready that stupid thing will pop out.
Good Morning.
-
Me too Chris, I am exhausted. What about an early Christmas present to your self, hiring a cleaning lady to come just once.
I vote for the pop up timer!!
-
Naked tree is up. It took me forever to connect all the lights.
I'm not sure if I did it right. No I'm not having an elderly moment DD's had problems connecting all the lights.
I want her to look at it before I decorate.....I can't loose my shelter to an electrical fire.
THE END.

A good day today - DH and I took a few hours for ourselves and went to a wonderful OCF dumpling place. Then I got to babysit Shelby for about 90 minutes while DS and DIL went out alone for the first time since she was born. Then I went to my real house and unpacked 18 boxes. Gonna be back in next Thursday come hell or high water. I can hardly stand it - I just want to go home, that will be Christmas enough!
Deb hope your trip is outstanding and warm!
-
I'm not leaving until 5:30AM Tuesday morning, so I'll still be check in.
-
YAy for you Diane!! On both the bbsitting and the unpacking!
Heading out for a walk soon and then a CHristmas party later. Hope you all have a great day!

Enjoy your walk Linda. I wish I was with you.
Good Morning all

Glad you'll be home for xmas and that you got a chance to babysit. Hope she realizes that you want to help so you get to see Shelby more!
Sorry about the watering eyes, Sandy. Hope it stops soon.
Have a good time at the party, Linda.
Ducky - of course we want to know how you are feeling! Hope you feel better today. Love the Bah Humbug hat idea.
Hope DD checks out your tree so you can finish decorating, Sheila.
Deb - Have fun packing!
