I Come to the Garden...

thank you for the prayer everyone. I did end up getting the terrible chest cold, but I just finished 5 days of antibiotics, and I am feeling much better. I have missed a week of exercising, and I have been really tired all week, and I missed several days, at both my part time jobs. I can't wait to get back to feeling better and be in routine, exept adding the second week of my radiation. the daily mini burnage, is already showing the effects on my areola and nipple area , alot of peeling. I need to up the amount of coatings with my aquaphor ointment after the daily treatments. I love this thread, and I pray for you all as well :O) God bless, and continue to give us strength and grace as we continue this journey.

All of you are in my daily prayers! Things are going okay here

How is Meece doing? Is she not coming here anymore.
A friend of a friend recommended to me another bc surgeon and plastic surgeon. Perhaps it's God making sure I have the best. Trusting Him in this uncertain type of dx.

I got voted off the Physical Therapy island yesterday, and instead sent back to the surgeon, who started me on antibiotics for cellulitis across my right incision. That in turn pushes back the start of chemo. Having been through chemo in the past several times, I know that this one step forward, and one step back, is the nature of the cancer dance. God is teaching patience again
Fear Not
Fear not, fear not, fear not...
Like a mantra, these words echo in my head,
Trying to work their way into my heart,
But today, my head and my heart
Lie far apart from one another.
Today as I come to hear the best guesses
Of what tomorrow will hold,
I fight the fear that wraps itself
Around the foreign words and the unwelcome paths
As I try to find escape from this tangled web.
It is in this confusing hour
That my feet automatically turn to find You.
Your gentle hands reach out and enfold me,
Thawing the fear that has encased my heart,
Opening the door to a glimmer of hope.
Fear not again finds its way to my spirit,
Dropping like a warm cloak around my shoulders.
I give You all the uncertainties
In exchange for the certainty of You,
And in the giving,
I am released to live,
Fearless in the presence of You.

Laura-every poem touches me in places that I need that quiet reassurance that our Father is still there. Thank you!

How do you post a picture in the message box?

Looks soft and fuzzy, but actually is a cactus at Meijer Sculpture Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI.

I am here. I had to force myself to open the laptop this morning. I have been fighting a chest cold for nearly 2 weeks which went into bronchitis. I have been asthmatic all my life so whenever I get anything in my lungs it takes forever to get rid of. That and some issues which could be rads related, means i ahve been coughing so much that it has me scared. I have managed to pinch a nerve in my neck coughing so violently, so working on the computer is painful. Waaaaa!
I am so happy that the activity has started back up on this thread. I was getting concerned.
-
Dorothy, thank you so much for the rendition of our theme song. Beautiful!
So happy you are through tx and back here, Lynniea. I will be praying for the right job to come to you....or you to it.
Zumba, so glad you are getting better. I wholey understand how tired this can make you. I have been coming home form work and going to bed anywhere from 5 pm to 7:30 pm. I have no stamina.
Evebarry, so glad that it is "only a bloodclot". Is there something safe they can do to dissolve it? May your pain ease as you look forward to the next step in this adventure.
-
Laurel, you are an inspiration with your acknowledgement that He is in control, and that you accept it. May you heal quickly so that your treatment can commence. Thank you so much for the poem.
3Jays, may God be with you giving you comfort and may your faith increase as you reflect on how far our Father has brought you.

Meece, I don't know if you've heard of lyzine plus. It has kept me from the flu and chest colds for over seven years. I' take it at the first signs of getting sick. I pop two or three down and later a few more. The symptoms disappear. My friends now all take lyzine with the same results. It is available for me at a local grocery market that sells health foods and health stores.
For me, I am checking out another plastic surgeon next Wednesday before moving forward with the surgery. I'm still struggling whether to do a uni or bi laternal mx. Pro's and con's to both. The blood clot seems to resolved on it's own. The only thing I wonder about if there were idc cells in the clot and if so what happen to it?
Again, how do you ladies put the pics up flowers or whatever up. I've tried to copy and paste a picture that my daughter painted but it didn't paste.

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. -
Evebarry, To post a picture, I used my picture album from Facebook in order to have a url. Just right click on the photo and select Copy URL, then come to Post a Reply here. Hit the little Insert/edit image button in the toolbar (next to Smiley face), paste in your url, and hit the Insert button. That should get it to your page. The picture must have a url to use this so I haven't found a way to use photos from my own Documents. Hope this helps.

I am going to an all day seminar today and I'm so excited! I'm even bringing my DH. I've been taking a Mindful Meditation course and today is all day just on the Lord's Prayer!!! We are gong to work on it line by line. I can't wait!!! We are told there is no talking, we are to experience the journey today. It has been a very spiritual journey in this class so far, so I am so excited for today!!

Evebarry...If you paste in the URL, then tab to the Description and add a title, it should automatically fill in the size for you

Hope it was everything you were wanting Barbe!

Hope this finds Meece feeling better today.

OK-haven't been posting much as in the evening DD is monopolizing the computer with senior year stuff. I feel very out of the loop.
I'm coming in today to ask for prayer for patience and tolerance. I WANT TO SHIP DD OFF TO MILITARY SCHOOL OR SOMEWHERE FAR, FAR AWAY! I know that this year will go fast & she will be gone soon enough & then I will probably miss her, but right now I'm not certain about that last statement.
In truth, I feel like I'm being bullied. My house looks like a war zone because she can't be bothered to pick anything up, help with any cleaning chores or clean up after HER pets! If I even bring it up, I am "harassing" her; she's doing her part by getting good grades (well that was true up until this quarter) This morning, I was on the phone with my sister, who lives 150 miles away & she is making plans to come visit next weekend. I told her that DD might be off on a soccer game play-off but I'd most likely be here. DD went off on a rant about why wouldn't I go to a play-off game next weekend-can't I support her, blah, blah, blah!!!!! I NEVER GO TO AWAY GAMES; just because it's a play-off game doesn't change that. I will go to the finals game, if they make it, but I don't want to be gone 2 weekends in a row! I can't afford it!
Bottom line, I know I'm the parent & she's the child, but things have gotten too skewed! I am walking on eggshells & I'm crying as I'm writing this because I am just so frustrated! She constantly throws into my face that she's a good kid-she's not drinking, doing drugs, etc-and lots of parents would love to be in my position, with a "good" kid, but honestly, it doesn't feel like she's a good kid when all I want is for her to be somewhere else.
