evebarry: So sorry to hear of your results. One thing at a time. One day at a time. God knows you are the bread winner.....He knows all the details bit by bit. May peace surround you and guide you through the next steps. Hugs. Jean

anyone know where in the bible the story of the women touching His garment and she was healed? i know the story by heart, but can't remember where... i was telling my (jewish) dr. the other day; i'm pullling on his garment... must be lack of fsith.. so, i pray i believe, help thou my unbelief..
he was all caught up in the fact that i knew the garments religious jewswear, and what part of the garment she touched.. we had a good laugh about the "pulling on it" part... he's always fascinated that i talk to him about Jesus, with my Jewish Husband there, and "no one gets hurt" its funny, for years, he tells ME when something goes wrong in his temple, or when his kids have problems with their schooling. his son was having trouble learning a part in his barmitvah; and he asked my advise! who knows what God ever has in mind?? all we do, is be who we are, and not hide our light under a bushel, i guess......thanks......3jays
-
3jaysmom: That can be read in Mark 5:25. That is great that you share openly with your Jewish doc.
kc165: Thank you for remembering. Had my PET scan Wednesday, now to wait for results. Turn 52 today.....whoop, whoop! I don't like the idea that this disease has progressed. Held hands in a small group the other night and we prayed for healing for many people that are sick. I know God hears our prayers. O Lord of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in Thee! Jean

Just wanted to add some Praise news today...my lymph node dissection came back with all 13 nodes biopsied as negative! So hopefully the BMX will be sufficient to take care of both the types of breast cancer as the tumors were excised with good clear margins. I was at our annual Light the Night Walk last night to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. My team raised over $6500 this year to fight blood cancers. I feel pulled now with one foot in the Leukemia world and one foot in breast cancer
although by all guesses the breast cancers probably stemmed from some of the toxic drugs I have had over the past 25 years to keep the blood cancer at bay. -
Praise the Lord for your good news, Laural.
It's Pinktober, and I haven't noticed as much going on this year. Maybe I am not getting out as much.

Today is my firstborn's 27th bithday. Wow, it makes me feel old!
Happy Birthday, Andy-Panda!
-
Meece is Andy Patch's dad? I'm having major brain fart! Anyway-Happy Birthday Andy!
Zumbagirl & I are going to try to meet tomorrow afternoon. I'm excited! Will try to post pictures (If I remember to take a camera!)
-
Well crud! I'm a techno-no-can-do. Can't get the picture posted.
Met Zumbagirl-we snuck over to DQ & had mini-blizzards!!! She had a Snickers (which I would have ordinarily but it's Pumpkin Pie month!) We both have teenage daughters (plus she has a teenage son to boot) We both have 4 cats (2 planned, 2 unexpected additions for both of us!) I drive a PT Cruiser, she drives an HHR & those 2 vehicles have similarities! We are both dealing with loved ones with Alzheimers/dementia & we both love the Lord. It was a great hour & 1/2 or so. When she gets home tomorrow hopefully she'll be able to post the picture I'm having difficulties with.
-
Sounds like a wonderful time, girls. Yes Andy-Panda is Patch's daddy. I miss them!
Matt brought his GF here last night and he cooked dinner for us. I haven't mentioned this before but his GF shares the same name as GraceOkinawa! I thought that was ironic.
-
Her name is GraceOkinawa??????????? LOL-I know, I know-not that name her real name! That is very ironic considering it was GraceOkinawa & husband you borrowed to do God' work on Matt. Too cool!

The wonderful thing about this relationship is that the two kids are continuing to attend church on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and on Wednesday evenings. Having someone from his age group to attend with is encouraging. They spend time with my parents on those days which, in my opinion, is a great thing. My father, who is a deacon in the church, is a great role model and a fun guy to be around.
-
thanks for the bible reference, Jean.. if im gonna quote it, i should be able to find it, dontcha think!!! happy birthday, also...Laurell, glad everything came out good..
Meece, im happy happy our Matt has role models, and friends...!!!..........3jays

Matt had another ECG yesterday. The surgery in Feb. still hasn't worked. Since he has been fighting for medical tx since he got home, he finally got a response from hie caseworker in Japan. She was furious that he has been getting the runaround and told him to take his med records to an ER last night and get his meds refilled. I told him to go to the ER at the Heart Hospital, I thought it might be a better place to go. I have no idea what time he got home last night...or if he's home yet. You know how the waits in ERs can be.

A thought for today...
Dance across My Weakness
Today the heat wraps itself around my tired body,
Sucking the little energy right out of my day
Before it even begins.
I sit frustrated at what little I accomplish,
Measuring myself against my to-do list,
Failing to cross off even the smallest of items.
But Your scales are not swayed
By works or tasks I have completed.
My to-do list falls meaningless in Your presence.
You hold out Your hands to me,
Hands full of blessings for this very moment.
I stretch out my arms to come to You,
My hands empty, my heart full.
I grasp onto Your love,
Clinging to Your desire to sit and know me
And to be known.
Share these weary times with me.
Dance across my weakness with Your strength.
Redeem these empty hours
By filling them with You.
I know I will leave refreshed.Laura Alway

Beautiful, Laura.
-
3jaysmom: Your welcome! I am one who has to look things up too.
Beautiful poem Laura.
Evebarry: How are you? Is your plan unfolding?
I've had progression and am waiting for plan. Had PET scan last week that showed some issues in spine, lymphnode and again in sternum. Onc is consulting with two colleagues and will get back to me with recomendations. I've waited a lot lately in-between biopsies, pathology and PET scan results.
Laura's poem reminded me of an older song about times of refreshing. Cannot remember the name of it but will try and find it.
To all you wonderful ladies here: May God's peace fill each day of your life. Isaiah 26:3

Appreciate your prayers dear ladies. Today, I learned more about my recent breast cancer dx. It is HER+ It also has a high proferation rate which all means it is very aggressing and fast moving. I would appreciate your prayer for wisdom, especially to find a PS who is good that can help. I can't see the one recommeded until October the 30th. Don't know if I can wait...in that this cancer is invasive and very aggressive.
-
Jean and evebarry: im so sorry you're having to deal with the beast again.. my prayers are with you, for wisdom of the drs. and strength and healing for both of you in this difficult time.......3jays

-
I too am praying for you Jean and Evebarry!
Barbe ~ I had another phone interview and remembered your advice. They called me back and I went for a face-to-face yesterday. It was one of the best interviews I have been on and I was telling my hubby even if I don't get the job, the interview did wonders for my confidence. I am hoping I do get it! I did my best and now it is up to God! Thanks again for your advice

-
kc - BEST of luck, sweetie!!!!!! I can't wait to hear the news!!
-
Good luck kcl.

Things are going well, I am in school and working part time, and my free time is spent with my DD and grandson, or helping my parents out. I spoke with my husband on Friday and he informed me that he does not wish to make any efforts towards keeping our marriage intact. I am sad but that too shall pass. I am not rocking the boat to much as I am hoping he doesn't want a divorce for now as I have no health insurance. Thanks for asking Meece, I hope you are doing better too

-
Doing better, thank you. Are your daughter and GS close by? I am sure hugs and kisses from him help a lot. I spoke with Patch yesterday and it put a big smile on my face. All the chatting and slupping (as he put Mommy's phone in his mouth) was so cute! DIL said he was reacting to my voice with big grins. I need to see him again soon.
-
OG ~ I will definitely be praying for you!
Barbe ~ I got the job!!!!! Thank you Lord! I am so excited and I start on Monday. Thanks for the encouragement and advice.
Meece ~ How cute! I am sure you can't wait to see patch again!
How are you doing Jean, Evebarry, and Zumbagirl?
