Racy- I am looking into extensions. I used the cold caps and kept most hair but the hair I did lose makes it difficult to style. My stylist says we can donor but I am worried.

Racy, there is a hair gallary on these forums, but you have to PM a particular person to get access to it, I think.

Carol2, your hair looks great.  At about 12 weeks PFC, mine is coming in oddly.  The sides and back are thin and flat, but the top is thick andI swear if I let it, it could keep growing straight up and look like grass.  Not sure how it's going to continue to grow.

charlottesm.....glad to see your post.  How did you make out with your surgery..I followed the surgery thread for awhile to see how everyone did then havent been back. Good luck on the hair growth,  i think alot of us are finding out we like our hair short.

Lago..you look great!  You know you got good ta ta's when you can rock a t-shirt like that.  Ha Ha not that I was looking or anything...just a little obsessed with how normal (or not) we are all looking post surgery. My new one is a tad smaller and I always wonder if people can tell.  My DH says i am the only one who notices.

Carrol2 your hair looks great.. I love the wave, seems like its just enough and not too curly.

Thanks for the compliments. I do think my hair is growing a little bit faster than normal. I think this is pretty much the wave I had before chemo. it's hard to tell because it always curled up more when it was shorter or layered. I was wearing it all one length down to my shoulders before, not even any layers so that the ends would look thicker. I always had very fine hair, and the ends would get straggley.  I don't think it's thicker now but I do feel like I have more of it somehow. You can't tell in the pics but there is a lot of grey in there too. I colored it once months ago with a semi permanent and then did not want to spend the money.

I do take 5,000 mcg of biotin every day so that may be helping, and I use nioxin shampoo and conditioner. I was using the nioxin scalp treatment but now that the hair is coming in pretty good i stopped.

I'll keep posting pics for you all as it comes in. I know I found it helpful to see pics of the regrowth when my hair came out.

Carberry my T shirts never pulled like that ever in my life, even with a push up bra. I actually tried on a shirt yesterday and even though it fit through the shoulders it was too tight in the bust. This is a totally new experience for me. Thanks for the compliment. BTW I'm still bra-less

lago you look great. I have not been wearing a bra with my tes but sometimes i need to wear a sprots bra or cami to cover the indent from the scar. Did your PS say it's ok to go braless after the exchange?

Just thought I would share this link for Hair extensions , although I am on day 12 of chemo and awaiting the( fallout ) I intend to use these whenever my hair is long enough again , not sure if they are available in USA, but they do not damage the hair and are very easy to put in and take out ,

I had decided not to cut my hair again for awhile but it is getting really thick and dense - the sides are starting to puff out and I don't like that!  I think I'll be like Lago and keep it short until I figure out this new weird wavy texture!!  So tomorrow...bloodwork, onc followup, and haircut, lol, in that order ;)

Went to the company doctor today and he cleared me for RTW next week.

Ladym13, you look absolutely beautiful. Thank you, your photo gives me so much hope. When I am 13 months pfc will be when I turn 50.

Mariel, your growth is very advanced for your stage.

Summergirl1, thanks for the link. I will check it out. I am also interested in hair extensions. I am nearly 18 weeks pfc and my hair is maybe a bit shorter than Mariel's. I will let you know how I go with the extensions.

Thank  you all, I'm glad the pic gives you hope Racy:) I hate to just jump in, and I haven't read all the past pages so sorry if I'm repeating, but be careful with the extensions...most absolutley destroy your hair.

Lago, I don't know about being normal ;) haha, actually my hair didn't straighten out, it's really curly, I straighten it and flat iron it. takes a lot of work, but I MUCH prefer it straight.

Thanks for the kind words everyone..I actually had a trim last week and I saw a lot of hair on the cape..and it freaked me out..but I guess she took off some of the back so it wouldn't turn into a mullet looking style..it feels like it grows so slowly when it's your own head..plus I just had surgery last week and had my thyroid removed so I aWm sure that will slow things down!

marial, you look great!  Beautiful eyes and eyebrows, too.

My hair growth on top is similar to yours, but my sides and back are thinner.  I remind myself of a ch-ch-ch-CHIA pet!

    PFC means Post Final Chemo.

I am almost 12 weeks PFC and I am finally starting to see steady hair growth.  I thought it would never happen!

Thank you - I've looked for it but the explanation I found didn't make any sense.  I'm trying to finally get some pics posted and didn't know what to count from - now I know.

Can also be taken to mean "Post effing chemo".
