Barbara - was wondering about the "dreaded" silence - was pretty sure it was the "roaming" - glad you're all together - loved meeting everyone of you, think we need to get together more often - safe trip home.

Plant your beets early!

Oh, YEA, Please - Spring, 2012 - we can welcome the Canadians to the Good Ole USA, upstate NY? A weekend of lovely Spring weather - I'll start looking for a recipe for Key Lime Pie.
Lovely to see smiling faces.
-
You've probably heard this before but I thought it was cute "Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children!" I definitely got pushed that way and they survived - so bring on the grand-babies!

Hi Everybody!!
I just got home. Had the most fantastic time with our U.S. and Canadian sisters. My god .. I love these gals. I'll post pics as soon as I can. Might take a few days as I didn't have my camera, I had to use a couple of throw-away cameras and I need to get the film on a CD.
We had so much fun! We went to the winery and the falls on Saturday! And Sunday was the lunch. There is so much to talk about .. I have to tell you just how wonderful each and every one truly is!!
I love Blue and Ray of Sunshine. I rode with them and Virgil and Lila to the winery and the falls. What an awesome day I will never forget!
Be back after I get some coffee!
love,
Bren

My pix didn't really come out - *SIGH* Fortunately, there were multiple talented photographers there and I know there will be even more great pix to come out of our gathering.
It was wonderful beyond words to meet and hang out with some of the most wonderful women on the planet! Putting faces to familiar and beloved voices here on BCO was an absolute delight! I loved finally getting to meet so many women I have admired for so long.
Lindasa, thanks to you and your DH for so generously hosting our gathering. Hope the kitties recover from the American invasion!
Pickle, I'm delighted to see you here and hope you stop by frequently.
PiP, ROFL! You are a HOOT! I'm hiding my horns in my hair.
Blue, Ray of Sunshine was awesome and the babies were adorable! They gave me the VERY BEST doggie-kisses I got all weekend!
3m, my phone didn't work there -- I thought it would. I didn't have my iPad either -- I am terribly sorry! I hope you just took a stab at a time and toasted ... I think that the act was what counted, not the time.
Yan, it was lovely to meet you ... I hope the boys enjoyed the cake and I hope you enjoyed the company. I was thrilled that you were able to come meet us.
208 Sandy ... you know where we are .... BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Barbara, how about them BEETS? And how about pasta puttanesca? Or was it arrabiata?
And huge hugs to all ... you ROCK! You are AWESOME!

What a great time. Great food great times great friends.I just got out of the car 45 minutes ago and had to drop in to say hi. I miss you guys already. It took longer to get homethan I thought it would, I was waiting at the border for almost an hour but the American guy in the booth was almost as cute as the Canadian one.
Was it beets or brussels sprouts? I don't know but they are both delicious roasted. I am having baked chicken and leftovers for dinner. Nowhere near as good as what I had this weekend

-
I had a late lunch of Thai food, so I'm feeling something like a popsicle. I don't have any, so ... probably just some ice water and bed. Last appointment with PS tomorrow before surgery.
I miss everyone already, too. The hotel was great ... it was a hoot taking over the lobby!

Taking over as in a "take over"? Sounds threatening to me, especially if you were all speaking in code. Did they call the Mounties?
-
Mmmm...Mounties!
It was not a hostile take over.
-
Yeah, my horns were on their best behaviour!
-
but...beets. Hmmm.
-
Just when you think it's safe to go back into the water....BEETS.
-
Don't you think we look like we could be a choir? (Too bad I can't sing worth a damn....)

Hi All,
HappyLibby, I sort of figured that was what had happened. As it turned out, we had a full house of visitors for family zen so my toast was in green tea.
Everyone who went, the photos are great!!!---it looks like you all had so much fun1
I'm glad!
-
I so wish I could have been there but maybe next year. My passport expired this year so I need to get another one.

Hi Girls - Checking in from Heathrow - we're on our way to Ireland!!! I got to go to the Dr Who exhibition!!! We didn't see baby Alexander yesterday - my DIL is a total b&*(h. I'm quite p'd off our son let a day go and not see us!!! Made DH pay for a cab to the airport - no way I could manage on the tube. I put my back out the other day, also my knees are really bad and to boot I lost part of my expensive gold necklace!!! Insurance claim coming when we get home. Lucky I only lost the dangly bit and not the whole chain.
Anyway - I miss you guys but will check in when I can - loved the photos!!!
