Same here.

Definitely expresso needed here! Damn summer cold is dragging me down.
Sorry to see anyone bullied away from these boards. Hopefully, CS and thenewme will lurk and eventually come back.
They are predicting 120 degree heat ratio here by 3pm. Just mop up the puddle that will be me!
Going back to bed with my kleenex and my advil cold. Going to drown my sorrows with an "Absolutely Fabulous" marathon.
-
I have some hope that maybe CS has just done away with that account and will be coming back just as her original Sunflowers. Which is what she wanted to do all along but had forgotten her password from years before. She was going to work with the mods on that at one point. If not ... I'm going to miss you Sunflowers!!!
Now I need to go back and read what has been going on. We are a 'talky' bunch and it does not take long to get way behind here. Looks like I'm going to have to go get a scooter if I want to keep up though. Do they come in a 3 wheeled version
ETA ... thenewme ... I also think it would be a wonderful idea if you stuck around and just hang out with us here!!!
-
Rabbit .. I've never seen a 3-wheeled scooter before, be we can talk to the Harley guys and see if they can work something up for you!
Iron .. so sorry you have a summer cold. 130 heat index is out of this world. It's more like Mars.
I've just come in from working on my project at at 11:15 it's already too hot to be doing anything outside.
Stay inside today and stay cool!

Jancie .. checking in on you .. hope you're feeling okay today.

good morning universe! Steps forward and three steps back are we? Or should we be singing the "Time Warp"
riley, I am terribly sorry about your cat. That stinks! We lost our cat in November and it was so hard. Not the first cat to pass away, won't be the last but it always stinks. Now we have two cats that came home in March. In our household there has been a shuffle. The little black cat (1/3 the size of her big brother and 10x as tough) has decided to sleep downstairs with big monster--I think she thought the attic a bit too warm. This means the big white cat can sleep on the bed upstairs. This means when he wakes up in the am very very hungry, I am right there to be conveniently yelled at to get up and dish out breakfast.
Alas! the deletion of sunflowers also deleted her very pleasant thread about being creative. RATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! perhaps this could have been thought through before action taken?
me I guess I'd best be jumping to the left and stepping to the right!
-
Darn ... I see we have lost another kitty ... so sorry Riley

Glad to see that Cindy got good news ... hoping Jancie is just sleeping off the good drugs they gave her yesterday.
Can't wait to see Anne's calendar ... you go girl!
Looks like the clubhouse is coming together nicely. I would like a maroon chair please. I may be harebrained but I always try to give folks something to work with
That matches the color scheme I mean. Barney makes my head hurt
... though the alternate lyrics seem to work quite nicely. Just will have to be sung by a different mascot maybe? You suppose Mr. Mojomorrison could do that song?! (((hugs))) for those dealing with lack of sleep and other bad things ... and (high 5s) for the good stuff.
Edited to change some unfortunate wording ...

Hi Monstmama,
Maryblast started another creative thread to replace sunflowers' deleted thread:
http://community.breastcancer.org/forum/7/topic/772603?page=1#idx_1
-
I just got an email from thenewme. She has been permanently banned for rule violations? She wanted to thank you girls for replying to her post.
-
3Mons .. what a blast from the past .. I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show!! Thanks for the memory. I saw it at the movies and at the theater.
I'm so sad that Sunflowers creative thread was lost. There were many wonderful posters and beautiful works of art on that thread. What a loss for all the posters. I posted on a different crafting thread, but enjoyed looking at all the works of art on Sunflowers thread. Apple and Painterly had quite a few beautiful paintings posted.
Painterly .. I'm glad you started a new thread. I hope Sunflowers can come back.
I'm stunned also that thenewme is banned. Makes no freakin' sense as I have never seen her break the rules. Blue .. I'm glad you are in touch with her by email.
It seems like there were many changes that happened last night. I also saw in the mods section that they are creating a new forum called "Religions of the World." I wonder if they are going to move all the Christian and spiritual threads over to that forum. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Blue, that's horrible to hear. The crap that some people are allowed to get away with, versus what is considered worthy of a ban...incomprehensible.

Personally, I think it was a big mistake. I'm gonna pm the mods.
-
Oh boy. I just deleted a long paragraph. i will miss thenewme. I considered her a voice of sanity. And now...

-
Just crazy!
-
thenewme was quite sane.. and operated (i thought) within the parameters of the BCO rules. hoping this is a mistake.
....altho, the mods did say they were reducing the alternate accounts, so maybe she'll be back as someone else or someone familiar. I certainly hope so.
-
(((Cindy)))
-
Cindy .. glad the Muga scan turned out so well and you can finish up your Herceptin!
Bren
-
Apple .. all your paintings got deleted on that thread that Sunflowers started. I'm so sorry to see this .. maybe you can put them back up on the new thread.
Bren
-
Or put some of them here.
-
I really think it's going to be okay Cindy. I doubt you'll have to have a bunch of scans for the migraines since you have a long history of them. I'm glad the Herceptin doesn't give you a headache. Let us know what the onc says.
Big hugs friend,
Bren

Page numbering restored.

It Worked!!!! I did the Time Warp and it worked!!!

CS-Sunflowers is back.....well, at least her posts are. I found one she did in the Buddhist thread....also a yummy conversation about profiteroles that I missed. . . .
my head is spinning. I'm going to do something else until sanity is restored.
just a jump to the left
and then a step to the riiiiiiiightttttttttttttt
put your hands on your hips. . . .and take your knees in tight!
but its the pelvic thruuuuust, that really drives you insaaaaane.
LETS DO THE TIME WARP AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

Now there's a theme song!
Of course thinking of it sort of reminds me of my third grade teacher, a little overweight and flabby and I thought she was ancient at the time, doing the "Tennesee Wig Walk" (That could be the wrong name, third grade was a long time ago). The lyrics I remember that she did with matching movements "I'm a bow-legged chicken, I'm a knock-kneed hen, and I've never been so happy since I don't know when. I walk with a wiggle and a giggle and squak, doin' the Tennessee wig walk."
-
TENNESSEE WIG WALK (Larry Coleman / Norman Gimbel) Bonnie Lou - 1954 Also recorded by : Russ Morgan & His Orch.; The Deighton Family; Dan Zanes. I’m a bow-legged chicken, I’m a knock kneed hen Never been so happy since I don’t know when I walk with a wiggle and a giggle and a squawk Doing the Tennessee wig walk. Hear a tune on the fiddle and my heart’s aflow ??? Though I’m broke and weary and my back is sore I walk with a wiggle and a giggle and a squawk Doing the Tennessee wig walk. Put your toes together, your knees apart Bend your back, get ready to start Flap your elbows just for luck Then you wiggle and you waddle like a baby duck. Come and dance with me honey, tap your toes and glide And we’ll always be together side by side, I walk with a wiggle and a giggle and a squawk Doing the Tennessee wig walk (Contributed by Bill Huntley - November 2004)
-
Had never heard that one but, as a theme song (and for folks who drive you nuts!) how about this one:
May the Bird of Paradise fly up your nose,
May an elephant caress you with his toes,
May you all be plagued with runners in your hose,
May the Bird of Paradise fly up your nose!
ETA: This is only the chorus of the song. Google the song for the verses and you'll get the drift of it.
-
LOL ...
I've been known to silently sing that last one many a time! Have to admit I'd never heard of the Tennessee Wig Walk before.
-
Thanks for finding the lyrics, Linda. Now just imagine a woman of a certain age with flabby arms and legs acting out the motions to that second verse! It was very scary for me. Little did I know that one day I too would be a woman of a certain age with flabby arms and legs!
I like the Bird of Paradise song, sounds like a clubhouse song to me.
-
Any sort of nonsense rhyme would be very apt in light of the day we are having here in BCO. I will take any Mother Goose story as our anthem. How about the one where the cow jumps over the moon?
-
I like Vinny Barbarino's version.
Up your nose with a rubber hose.
