All together now, "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family. With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won't you say you love me too?" It could be our theme song.

-
And I'll bring the cookies..... Not those cookies that are good for you, but ones made with BUTTER and chocolate!!
-
ROFLMAO! I love you, RevKat! And while we are on the subject of children's programs, why is SpongeBob a kitchen sponge instead of a sea sponge? That question has been bugging DH for some time....
-
Yay Sewingnut! I'll take some of those cookies. Wish I had some right now!
Kat .. you crack me up.
Bren
-
Because natural sponges can't wear square pants. Jeez, I thought everybody knew that?
-
I hope SpongeBob knows how to clean .. cause it's definitely not my strong suit.
Had pasta left over from lunch for dinner. yum!
Bren

E perfect!

I like your song better than the one I was thinking of
Does anybody remember James Cagney, in Yankee Doodle Dandy, dancing down the stairs of the White House after meeting with FDR, and a marching band is outside singing, and one of them see's him, ( the author of the song!) and says"hey, old man, don't you know the words" "Over There, Over There, there's a war to be one over there, we're comin' over, we're comin' over, and we won't be back, til it's Over, Over There..just an idea

-
Cindy .. glad your appointment went well. The ultrasound is a week from tomorrow ... we'll be with you on that day. Can you really go from chemopause after a year back to having periods? I had no idea. I didn't have chemo so I don't know about these things.
Haven't seen any word from Jancie yet .. hope she is okay.
hugs,
Bren

I love decorating and I mix modern with antiques - and books are THE best accessory as well as treasure trove of memories- but scooters and clubhouses are new, so I will just go with the chosen motif. It would be nice to have a lioness crest there somewhere....
Well, is the BCO B&G open?
Cindy, I'm glad all is looking well for now. Waiting to hear from Jancie.
-
Cindy glad to hear things seem ok for now.
Was a long day today. I really don't understand writing my own programs, and they expect me to learn how to do it in 4 days.

-
Happy 500th, all!!
I have a new drink for the B&G. I call it Mountain Mojo. It's like a cosmo, only in the mountains. Take a bunch of Ruby Red Absolut (grapefruit flavored vodka), add a splash of Patron Citronage (orange liqour), fresh lime juice, and a splash of pomagranate juice. I either shake it like a martini, or freeze it to a slush...whew what a kick!
My 15 minutes of fame is coming, such as it is. I will be the "cover girl" of our Boulder in the Buff calendar, as well as Miss March. When the finals are ready, I will shamelessly beg for buyers. There are some really cool pictures!!
-
Kira - I'll write them for you
That's what I do.Can I pedal along behind on my pushbike?

((Cindy)) and ((Jancie)). Just got home. Headed to bed after 3 hours of sleep last night and 11 hours of training today and a 6:45 AM flight to LA tomorrow. Ugh. Later pals. I'm in w/ a scooter.
-
Anne - congratulations! The Cover Girl.
Barbara - take care of yourself. Hope you get more sleep in the coming days.
-
oh please, no barney song!!!! I'm not allowed to play with purple dinosauers. . . .
BarbaraA I am sorry you have to go to LA. Strictly speaking I'm sorry when anyone has to go to LA. I hope you get to do something fun--perhaps eat something tasty?
AnneW how awesome! NO not the drink but its awesome too, i mean the cover photo. Can't wait until you show it to us!
((Cindy)) ((Janice)) and ((Kira123)) feel better soon!
did I mention the upcoming holiday trip? the one with grandmother and 3 grandchildren and tag along parents (waving frantically)? Did I mention the grandmother is 83? hmmmm.....anyrate, 3 weeks to go and the grandmother is starting to get nervous about the trip....and its not because its a big trip to OverThere. Its just the concept of a trip....also new fangled stuff....like digital stuff and those darned computers and what have you. I am thinking its going to be a long long long 3 weeks. . . .

3m,
I see from a few post back that you are a knitter. I knew I like you for some reason!!! My signature on my personal email is: Hi, my name is Cherryl and I'm a yarnoholic.
Hope no one is offended by this.
I was not compensated by the yarn industry to make this statement.
-
knitting? did someone mention knitting?Hi cherryl, I am sorry you are a yarnoholic. Not Me.
Me, I can quite anytime I want to. . . . .
so are you on ravelry?
if the yarn industry is compensating people, where the heck is My Check?
-
No, not on ravelry. This and facebook are the extent of my online life. Real life is too busy for anymore than that. Besides, it would take away from my actual knitting time!
-
AnneW congratulations! We'll all buy one.
-
Well thenewme is leaving. Seems like more good people can't take the BS.
-
Just got an email from thenewme. I can't imagine why the Moderators wil not take the suggestion of SO MANY WOMEN - and have TWO FORUMS:
Forum:Complementary, Integrative, Alternative Medicine Forum: Holistic
I feel SO SO SO SO SO badly for thenewme. 3N, and eager to LEARN LEARN LEARN and stomped on by the "holistic gang." HEY, where have I heard that accusation b4, about a "gang"
LOL!
-
-
Thanks, 3monstmama; I was going to say the Barney theme is a deal-breaker for me. *full-body shudder*
Ooh, AnneW, the Mountain Mojo sounds good. I love all the flavored vodkas now. Had a screwdriver with the pomegranate Absolut. Yummy. But all I have in the house is Tanqueray and tonic, which I'll be indulging in tonight because my 7 yr-old kitty, Imp, passed away today from recurrent bowel obstruction. My 3 month-old kitten, Lucy, hasn't figured out where he is, yet, and is upset by me crying, so I'll have a g & t and have a snuggle with Lucy.

-
I'm so sorry, riley. Lucy snuggles and a g&t sound like the right prescription. (((riley)))
-
Riley .. I am so sorry you lost your kitty today. Keeping you in my thoughts and sending a big hug your way.

Before my user name and posts are deleted, I just want say thank you SO much to those of you who have offered me friendship and support. Seriously - it really means the world to me, and you ladies have lifted me up and carried me along more than you'll ever know on this difficult journey. Well, hopefully you DO know, and hopefully you understand the depth of what I'm talking about.
I don't know who some people think I am or what ulterior motives they think I have, but I can tell you I stand by everything I've ever posted and I've never, ever posted anything under any other name or ID. I've spoken nothing but the truth, and I've tried to offer something back in return for everything I've gotten here. I've been here since 2008 and I've tried to be reasonable and rational but I just can't do this anymore. I know those of you who know me understand my reasons, so again, thank you all.
thenewme
ETA - Riley, I'm so sorry to read about Imp!
-
Checking in to say I am ok - have slept since I got home around noon. Will have to update tonight or tomorrow - can't seem to be able to type. Going back to bed.
-
Oh, Riley, I'm so sorry about Imp. It's so hard to lose a pet - and hard, I'm sure, to see Lucy looking bereft when you're feeling the same way.
Sad, too, about thenewme leaving. Maybe she'll change her mind and drift back over here?
On a happier note - way to go, Anne! And Barb - get some rest, woman! I feel your bone-weariness. I'm still zonked from being on the west coast this past weekend, and tomorrow I have to drive 4 hourrs to deliver a workshop.
Dinner tonight was cold soba noodles with cucumber, edamame and tofu in a spicy/vinegary Korean sauce. And I just polished off the last of the "nectarcots" I brought back from Seattle. (Nectarcots being a nectarine-apricot hybrid, and very possibly the most delicious fruit I've ever tasted.)
Linda
ETA: thenewme, we cross-posted . . . sorry to talk about you in the third person, but I wasn't sure if you'd be posting/reading here. I'm really sorry you feel the need to take this step, but I understand. I also hope (no pressure!) you'll think about rejoining someday.
-
thenewme: Hate that you're leaving us - will you come back when you've had a little time away - we'll still be here waiting for you - you have NOTHING to be ashamed of - you were/are wonderful and so stoic - I would have exploded under the pressure you've been under - too bad BCO is losing good people because of the meaness on some of the threads.
Riley: So sorry to hear about Imp - I know how it feels to lose one of our fur babies (I've lost a few over the years) - glad you've got a kitty to snuggle with.
